Study on the random noise characteristic of the tracking radar in Naro space center (나로우주센터 추적레이더의 잡음 특성 분석)

  • The tracking radars in NARO space center are precious, long-range tracking systems for tracking the launch vehicle (KSLV-1) and transmitting TSPI (Time, Space and Position Information) data to MCC (Mission Control Center). Because TSPI data from tracking radars to MCC are important information for the launch mission and flight safety control, TSPI data are required to be more accurate. In this paper, we analyzed theoretically the required specification of the random noise error in tracking radar and verified the real random noise error. In this analysis, we evaluated the TSPI data of several flight tests performed in NARO space center.

실 드럼으로 부터의 특성시험용 코아 시편채취

  • "방사성폐기물 고화체의 물성시험"에 사용되는 시편을 실험실적으로 제조한 소규모 모의 고화체 시편과 고화공정에서 직접 채취한 소규모 시편, 200L 드럼으로부터 코아시편을 채취 가공하여 만든 시편과 같이 3종류가 있다. 고화공정에서 발생되는 고화체는 일반적으로 200 L 드럼에 주입되며, 고화체의 균일성 정도는 고화공정의 특성, 폐기물/고화매질 혼합비, 200 L 고화체 드럼의 냉각방식에 따라 다르다. 따라서, 실험실에서 제조한 시편과 공정에서 채취한 소규모 시편을 실제 고화공정을 대표할 수 없으며 또한 실제 발생된 고화체의 조성과도 동일하다고 볼 수 없다. 따라서 200 L 실드럼에서부터 코아시편을 채취하여 만든 시편이 고화공정과도 고화체를 대표할 수 있는 시편으로 볼 수 있다. 기 발생고화체(시멘트와 파리핀 고화체 및 잡고체 폐기물)의 영구처분을 위하여 과기부 고시 05-18호 "폐기물 인도기준" 규정과 한국방사성폐기물관리공단의 중 저준위 방사성폐기물 인수기주(안)의 준수 여부를 평가하기 위하여 각 원전의 대표 드럼에 대하여 특성평가시험인 압축강도, 침출, 침수, 열 순환, 내방사성 영향시험을 수행하기위해 실 드럼으로부터 원통형 코아시편을 채취하여 이를 시험검사에 필요한 시험시편으로 가공한 후 표준 특성시험법을 이용하여 물성들을 평가하며 특성평가시험을 위한 시편으로는 L/D=2, L/D=1인 두 종류의 시편을 가공하였으며 압축, 침수, 열순환 및 방사선조사시편은 L/D=2 시편을 제조하였고 침출시험시편은 L/D=1인 시편을 채취하였다.

KAERI 소각시설의 실용화를 위한 방사학적 안전성 분석

  • 5 년간의 기술실증 및 안전성 검토를 거쳐 한국원자력연구소내 실증소각시설을 자체발생 가연성 $\beta$/${\gamma}$폐기물을 소각하는 시설로 인허가를 얻었다. 동위원소포함 모의폐기물 및 원전발생 가연성폐기물 실증소각 결과에 기준을 두고 연간 배출오염원 및 가상 사고시의 방사학적 위해성을 평가하여 저준위 폐기물을 부지내에서 소각처리할 때 그 위해성은 무시할 수 있을 것으로 미미함 을 확인하였다. 실증시험으로 주된 배출 방사선원은 고온의 소각로에서 휘발성이 크고 저준위 폐기물내 농도가 큰 반휘발성 Cs-137 및 Cs-134로, 발전소 가연성폐기물과 같은 핵종조성을 가진 0.109 mCi/kg 의 소각시 Cs-137 및 Cs-134의 배출농도가 공기중허용농도의 10%를 약간 상회하는 것으로 평가되었다. 비방사성 CsCI을 이용한 시험소각을 통하여 사용되는 저온배기체처리계통 에서의 휘발된 Cs의 배기체 냉각시 입자화 및 제거특성을 고찰한 결과 휘발된 기체상 Cs성분은 건식배기체 냉각공정을 거치면서 대부분 마이크론 크기이하의 입자로 생성되지만 5% 미만이 전이영역 크기에 분포하여 주여과장치인 여과포집진기에서 제거효율이 99.9% 이상이었다.

A Study on the Effectiveness of the Manufacture of Compensator and Setup Position for Total Body Irradiation Using Computed Tomography-simulator's Images (전산화 단층 모의치료기(Computed Tomography Simulator)의 영상을 이용한 TBI(Total Body Irradiation) 자세 잡이 및 보상체 제작의 유용성에 관한 고찰)

  • Purpose : We should use a computed tomography-simulator for the body measure and compensator manufacture process was practiced with TBI's positioning in process and to estimate the availability.,Materials and Methods : Patient took position that lied down. and got picture through computed tomography-simulator. This picture transmitted to Somavision and measured about body measure point on the picture. Measurement was done with skin, and used the image to use measure the image about lungs. We decided thickness of compensator through value that was measured by the image. Also, We decided and confirmed position of compensator through image. Finally, We measured dosage with TLD in the treatment department.,Results : About thickness at body measure point. we could find difference of $1{\sim}2$ cm relationship general measure and image measure. General measure and image measure of body length was seen difference of $3{\sim}4$ cm. Also, we could paint first drawing of compensator through the image. The value of dose measurement used TLD on head, neck, axilla, chest(lungs inclusion), knee region were measured by $92{\sim}98%$ and abdomen, pelvis, inquinal region, feet region were measured by $102{\sim}109%$.,Conclusion : It was useful for TBI's positioning to use an image of computed tomography-simulator in the process. There was not that is difference of body thickness measure point, but measure about length was achieved definitely. Like this, manufacture of various compensator that consider body density if use image is available. Positioning of compensator could be done exactly. and produce easily without shape of compensator is courted Positioning in the treatment department could shortened overall $15\{sim}20$ minute time. and reduce compensator manufacture time about 15 minutes.

Shear Resistance of Unreinforced Cast-In-Place Anchors in Uncracked and Cracked Concrete by Seismic Qualification Tests (지진모의실험에 의한 비균열 및 균열콘크리트에 매입된 비보강 선설치앵커의 전단 저항강도 평가)

  • In this study, an experimental study was performed to evaluate the concrete breakout strength of unreinforced cast-in-place anchors by seismic qualification test under shear loading. The CIP anchors tested herein were 30mm in diameter with an edge distance of 150mm and an embedment depth of 240mm in uncracked and cracked concrete. The cracked specimen consisted of orthogonal and parallel crack to the loading direction, respectively. The dynamic loading sequence during the seismic qualification test was determined based on CSA N287.2, ACI 355.2 and ETAG 001 codes. After the dynamic loading, the static loading was applied until failure occurs. The shear resistance by seismic qualification tests showed almost the same strength as that obtained from the static tests in uncrcaked and cracked concrete, respectively. Meanwhile, the breakout depth did not reach $8d_0$, therefore the modified strength equation of ACI 318-11 could estimate properly the concrete breakout strength, which does not consider effective bearing length.

Recognition of Printed Hangul Text Using Circular Pattern Vectors (원형 패턴 벡터를 이용한 인쇄체 한글 인식)

  • This thesis deals with a novel font-dependent Hangul recognition algorithm invariant to position translation, scaling, and rotation using circular pattern vectors. The proposed algorithm removes noise from input letters using binary morphology and generates the circular pattern vectors. The generated circular pattern vectors represent spatial distributions on several concentric circles from the center of gravity in a given letter. Then the algorithm selects the letter minimizing the distance between the reference vectors and the generated circular pattern vectors. In order to estimate performances of the proposed algorithm, the completed Batang Hangul 2,350 letters were used as test images with scaling and rotational transformations. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm are better than conventional algorithm using the ring projection in the recognition rates of Hangul letters with scaling and rotational transformation.

  • Radioactive iodine treatment that uses the 2 people isolation room is to cause unnecessary radiation exposure between patients. This research is to be tested safety of 2 people Isolation treatment room and dose-rate through conservative perspective except physiology characteristic and biology information on the assumption that patient have iodine without excretion in 2 people isolation treatment room. This research shows that 364 keV gamma rays emitted by the radioiodine was to determine that the air layer about 30 cm or lead shield 3 mm a half-layer. In addition, In addition, patients in the distance, and lead shielding, length of hospital stay (48 hours) for external radiation exposure that is received from the other patients, two of treatment as appears to be lower than the legal isolation standard dose less than 5 mSv isolation room effective analyzed that manageable.

방사성 동위원소 (RI) 폐기물의 소각

  • 국내의 방사성 동위원소 (Radioisotope; RI) 사용기관에서 발생, 수거되어 현재 원자력연구소 저장고 내에 보관중인 폐기물중 가연분을 대상으로 소각실증실험을 수행하였다. 폐기물 발생일을 기준하여 최소 2년이상이 경과한 RI 폐기물을 소각한 결과 폐기물의 부피와 무게를 각각 약 1/250, 1/30로 줄일 수 있었으며, 소각운전중 배출기체의 농도는 환경관련법상의 배출허용기준치 이하, 배출방사선량은 검출기의 측정한계 이하였다. 방사성동위원소 추적자로 I-131 ($Na^{131}$ I형태, 총 2mCi)을 사용한 모의 폐기물을 소각한 결과 대부분의 방사능은 소각재에 잔존하기 보다는 휘발되어 배기체와 함께 거동하며 주로 포대여과기의 여과층에서 잡히는 것으로 나타났다.

  • SDSS-III BOSS DR12 은하적색이동 탐사 자료 중 CMASS 표본을 사용하여 물질 분포에 대한 균일성 테스트를 수행하였다. 균일성의 비교 기준으로는 (i) 완전한 무작위 분포, (ii) Horizon Run 3 N-체 수치실험에서 얻은 헤일로 목록, 그리고 (iii) 물질 요동의 파워 스펙트럼과 로그정규분포를 가정해 얻은 모의 은하 목록을 사용하였다. 현재 관측된 영역에서 통계적으로 의미가 있는 가장 큰 규모인 300h-1Mpc까지 조사한 결과, 우리는 관측된 물질 분포가 무작위 분포와 비교하여 전혀 균일하지 않지만 우주론으로부터 구한 나머지 두 목록과는 부합함을 보였다. 우주의 균일 등방성을 제시하는 우주론 원리는 우주론의 이론적 전개에서 물질의 분포가 아닌 공간곡률에 적용된다. 지금 우주모형에서는 이 원리에서 벗어난 공간곡률의 정도가 충분히 작으므로 우주론 원리를 우주론에 적용하는 데 문제가 없다. 하지만 우리는 물질 분포가 균일 등방성에서 벗어난 정도가 상당함을 보였으며, 따라서 우주론 원리가 이론적 모형에 성공적으로 적용되지만 실제로 관측된 은하 분포에는 존재하지 않는다는 기존의 결론을 새로운 자료를 이용해 강화하였다.

Shielding Design Optimization of the HANARO Cold Neutron Triple-Axis Spectrometer and Radiation Dose Measurement (냉중성자 삼축분광장치의 차폐능 최적화 설계 및 선량 측정)

  • A new cold neutron triple-axis spectrometer (Cold-TAS) was recently constructed at the 30 MWth research reactor, HANARO. The spectrometer, which is composed of neutron optical components and radiation shield, required a redesign of the segmented monochromator shield due to the lack of adequate support of its weight. To shed some weight, lowering the height of the segmented shield was suggested while adding more radiation shield to the top cover of the monochromator chamber. To investigate the radiological effect of such change, we performed MCNPX simulations of a few different configurations of the Cold-TAS monochromator shield and obtained neutron and photon intensities at 5 reference points just outside the shield. Reducing the 35% of the height of the segmented shield and locating lead 10 cm from the bottom of the top cover made of polyethylene was shown to perform just as well as the original configuration as radiation shield excepting gamma flux at two points. Using gamma map by MCNPX, it was checked that is distribution of gamma. Increased flux had direction to the top and it had longer distance from top of segmented shield. However, because of reducing the 35% of the height, height of dissipated gamma was lower than original geometry. Reducing the 35% of the height of the segmented shield and locating lead 10cm from the bottom of the top cover was selected. After changing geometry, radiation dose was measured by TLD for confirming tester's safety at any condition. Neutron(0.21 ${\mu}Svhr^{-1}$) and gamma(3.69 ${\mu}Svhr^{-1}$) radiation dose were satisfied standard(6.25 ${\mu}Svhr^{-1}$).
