  • The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship among the self-directed learning ability, academic self-efficacy and academic achievement of elementary school students. The subjects of this study were 197 sixth graders. The results of this study were as follows. First, the correlations among self-directed learning ability, academic self-efficacy and academic achievement were significant. Second, among the variables of self-directed learning ability and academic self-efficacy, self-confidence, preference for task difficulty, self-understanding of learner and independent mind of learning were positively related to academic achievement. These results imply the need for measures to increase these variables of academic efficacy and self-directed learning ability in the field of education in order to improve students' academic achievement.

  • The purpose of this study was to phenomenologically explore what experiences sports coaches have felt about coaching efficacy through qualitative research methods, and to derive the sources of coaching efficacy. To achieve the research aim, 15 sports coaches with more than 5 years of experience were selected as a nomadic sampling and in-depth interviews were conducted, and the collected data were analyzed through qualitative data analysis procedures such as transcription, coding, categorization and meaning. As a result, the sources of sports coaching efficacy were established as five factors including coaching success experience, social support, coaching-related player experience, coaching expertise, and player feedback. The derived sources can be used as educational basic data for the development of coaching efficacy.

  • This study attempted to find out the differences in care efficacy according to MBTIs in nursing students. The study subjects are 109 students in grades 3 and 4 of nursing departments at 1 university in Gyeongnam Region. Data analysis was performed with independent t-test and one-way ANOVA. The general characteristics that showed significant differences in care efficacy as a result of the study were major satisfaction (3.63, p<.001), practice satisfaction (4.49, p=0.013), and health status (2.91, p=0.004). The MBTI, which showed a significant difference in care efficacy, was an EP type (3.74, p=0.013) among the attitude indicators. We believe that the results of this study will serve as a basis for educational programs to improve the efficacy of care. Suggest repeated studies that apply large samples to generalize research for follow-up research, educational programs that apply MBTIs to improve care efficacy, program effectiveness analysis studies, and research on the development of tools to measure care efficacy.

  • The aim of this study was to search for the effects of health self-efficacy and technology self-efficacy on user's behavioural intention by the extended TAM focused on smartphone base ubiquitous health system. In this research, in view of small sample size, PLS - SEM methodology was applied to this study in order to the proposed research model. As a result of analysis, the statistical fitness of proposed research model was confirmed through GoF value and the path coefficient was calculated for the hypotheses test. Finally, the implications of analysis result showed that when the use of smartphone device could be easily accessed in the side of technology self-efficacy, the possibility of user's behavioural intention also might be higher.

For hypothesis testing, the IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0 was used. Frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. Empirical studies showed as follows. First, technical stress affected senior's entrepreneurial intentions. Second, self-efficacy turned out to affect senior's entrepreneurial intentions. Third, resilience came out to have a partial-mediating effects between technical stress and the senior's entrepreneurial intentions as well as between self-efficacy and the senior's entrepreneurial intentions. These research outcomes supported the preceding studies that self-efficacy played key roles in maximizing senior's entrepreneurial intentions and demonstrated the importance of self-efficacy as an independent variable for seniors to promote entrepreneurial activities with an intention of starting a new business. Furthermore, the technical stress newly introduced as an independent variable was found to be the next most important factor after the self-efficacy. The study also confirmed that the resilience has been doing an partial-mediating effects. However, it appeared that the technical stress affected the will of start-up, but it appeared to be a positive relationship. For generalization of this finding, further studies are required.

Self-efficacy was the most influential factor in smartphone addiction. Depression was a factor affecting the addiction of smartphone through self-efficacy and self-esteem. It is necessary to support the students who are depressed by the depression test to improve the self-efficacy and self-esteem. Also, it is necessary to prepare a program to improve self-efficacy and self-esteem in the prevention and intervention of smartphone addiction because the possibility of addiction to smartphone is relatively high because freshmen of professional college have low self-efficacy and self-esteem based on the research results.
