A Scheme to Support QoS based-on Differentiated Services in MPLS Network (MPLS망에서 Differentiated Services 기반 QoS 지원 방안)

  • IETF has proposed integrated services model(Int-Serv) and differentiated service(Diff-Serv) to supply IP QoS in Internet[1][2]. Int-Serv model uses state information of each IP flow, so satisfies QoS according to traffic characteristics, but increases the amount of flow state information with increasing flow number. Diff-Serv uses PHP(Per Hop Behaviour) and there are well-defined classes to provide differentiated traffics with different services according to delay and loss sensitivity. Diff-Serv model can provide diverse services in Internet because of having no the state and signal information of each flow. As MPLS uses the packet forwarding technology based on label, it implements the forwarding engine of high performance easily. The MPLS can set up the path having different and variable bandwidth and assign each path to particular CoS (Class of Service). Therefore it is possible to support the Diff-Serv model of well- defined classes that can provide the differentiated traffic with different services according to delay and loss sensitivity in IP QoS models of IETF. In this paper we propose a scheme that can accommodate Diff-Serv model to provide QoS. The system performance has been estimated by scheduling plan according to traffic classes.

  • Many preliminary entrepreneurs are ready to start a business in every year. However, starting and preparing business have a lot of difficulties. Entrepreneurship is the most important factor for overcoming these difficulties. But, it is not easy to understand entrepreneurship to founders despite many research scholars. In this paper, we are focused on easy understanding of entrepreneurs. Instead of vague theories, we analyzed selected two companies in Korea. From the beginning until now, these companies have founders entrepreneurship and organization entrepreneurship. we studied these entrepreneurship factors with other Various causes. Analysis of two cases is summarized into three type. First, both companies had well-founded internal network system. Trained employees in internal network were flexible to meet the market conditions. Also, network effect made that employees can offer their idea and make discussions. Second, The company quickly recognized for organizational culture despite of most other companies recent awareness. This factor was the basic driving force for solving human resource management problem of small size companies. final factor is innovation capacity of these companies. Financial difficulties experienced of establishment is common to every company. However, two companies has continued to invest research and development despite of this financial problem. As a result, intellectual property management was accepted, as well as technology development. Clearly, these three factors are consistently applied since established and led to the company's continued growth and success.

  • As the interest on the air-pollution is gradually rising up at home and abroad, automotive and fuel researchers have been working on the exhaust emission reduction from vehicles through a lot of approaches, which consist of new engine design, innovative after-treatment systems, using clean (eco-friendly alternative) fuels and fuel quality improvement. This research has brought forward two main issues : exhaust emission and PM (particulate matter) particle emissions of gasoline vehicle. Exhaust emission and PM particle of automotive had many problem that cause of ambient pollution, health effects. In addition, researcher studied the environment problems of the MTBE contained in the fuel as oxygenate additives. The researchers have many data about the health effects of ingestion of MTBE. However, the data support the conclusion that MTBE is a potential human carcinogen at high doses. Based on the oxygenated fuel additive types (MTBE, Bio-ETBE, Bio-ethanol, Bio-butanol), this paper discussed the influence of oxygen contents on gasoline fuel properties and evaporative emission characteristics. Also, this paper assessed the acceleration and power performance of gasoline vehicle for the fuel property.

  • 20세기 말까지만 해도 경제발전은 자원고갈과 자연환경파괴를 통한 대량생산 및 대량소비를 전제로 하여 이루어 졌다고 평가할 수 있다. 그 결과 세계의 자연환경은 급속히 훼손되었으며, 환경오염은 이제 인류의 생존을 위협하는 단계에 이르렀다. 이 같은 위기상황에 대처하기 위하여 지난 1980년대부터 선진국을 중심으로 환경경영에 대한 인식이 확산되기 시작하였다. 무엇보다도 자연환경 의 보존을 요구하는 사회적 압력은 기업으로 하여금 환경경영 의 필요성을 깨닫게 하였다. 환경 경영이란 기업들이 새로운 비교 우위를 창출하기 위하여 경 영 방식의 혁신에 있어서 자연환경을 초점으로 삼는 것이다. 환경경영이란 환경보전을 요구하는 이해 관계자들로부터의 요구에 기업이 이에 적극적으로 대응함으로써 한경보호와 경영성과를 동시에 달성하는 종합적인 경영을 의미한다. 환경경영은 이업의 전 활동에 걸친 전사적인 전략적 차원의 활동으로 기업경영이 어느 한 기능분야에 국한된 개념이 아니다. 궁극적으로 환경보호와 성장의 조화라는 기업의 목표달성을 위해 기업의 생산, 재무, 인사조직, 마케팅, 회계정보시스템등의 활동이 모두 통합되어야 할 것이다. GMO의 환경에 대한 악영향은 과대 선전되어있는 것이 아닌가? 마치 GMO가 화학비료, 농약제보다 더 위험하다고 믿는 사람들도 많다. 나는 이러한 GMO 공포증이 과학적으로 그리고 "Risk Assessment"의 견지에서 볼 때 그 근거가 희박하다고 보여주는 몇 몇 실험 및 경험 사실들을 인용하려 한다. 그리고 올바른 Risk Assessment야 말로 한국의 21세기 BT 산업을 경쟁력 있게 하고 국민 년 소득 2만불 달성에 중요한 기여를 하게 될 것이라고 생각한다. 한국은 농토가 적고 천연자원이 빈약하다.   • Venture capitalists (VCs) play an important role in finding and growing innovative venture companies with high growth potential but high risk. Venture capital investment does not depend on the system, unlike the investment for listed companies. Korea's venture capital industry has entered a period of growth, but lack of data has led to a lack of research on venture capital. Based on this background, this study attempts to analyze various factors affecting investment decision criteria of Korea VCs. In this study, I examined the major factors that VCs consider in decision making of investment through literature review, and I have drawn the research question accordingly. I will focus on the characteristics of founders, products / services, markets, financials, and networks that scholars share common investment decision criteria in Korean VCs. For the purpose of this study, the data were collected through the questionnaire surveyed by investment vetters working in current venture capital and analyzed using AHP analysis. Through this study, I tried to understand the Korean venture capital which has been poorly studied and what criteria and priorities Korean VCs make investment decisions in the Korean venture investment environment. The results of this research will contribute to the vitalization of venture investment, which is important for the upbringing of companies, by providing guidelines for establishing investment attraction strategies of venture companies.

  • With the advent of the Internet and the development of mobile digital devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs, the communication service paradigm began to shift from existing voice services to data services. Recently, as social network services (SNS) are activated and 4th industrial revolution technologies centered on ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) such as Big Data, Blockchain, Cloud, and 5G/6G are rapidly developed, the amount of shared data type and the amount of data are increasing rapidly. As the transition to a digital society begins actively, the importance of using data information, as well as the economic and social values of personal information are becoming increasingly important. As a result, they are actively discussing policies to revitalize the data information industry around the world and ways to efficiently obtain, analyze, and utilize increasingly diverse and vast data, as well as to protect/guarantee the rights of information subjects (providers) in various fields such as society, culture, economy, and politics.. In this paper, in order to improve the self-determination right of personal information on data produced by information subjects, and further expand the use of safe data and the data economy, a differentiated data trusts system was considered and suggested. In addition, the components and data trusts procedures necessary to efficiently operate the data trusts system in Korea were considered, and the non-profit data trusts system and the for-profit data trusts system were considered as a way to flexibly operate the data trusts system. Furthermore, the legal items necessary for the implementation of the data trusts system were investigated and considered. In this paper, in order to propose a domestic data trusts system, cases related to existing data trusts systems such as the United States, Japan, and Korea were reviewed and analyzed. In addition, in order to prepare legislation necessary for the data trusts system, data-related laws in major countries and domestic legal and policy trends were reviewed to study the rights that conflict or overlap with existing laws, and differences were investigated and considered. The Data trusts system proposed in this paper is a reasonable system that is expected to recognize the asset value of data in the capitalist market economy system, to provide legitimate compensation for data produced by data subjects, and further to contribute greatly to the use of safe data and creation of a new service market.

  • Global discussions are actively underway regarding the introduction of urban air mobility (UAM) to revolutionize the paradigm in the innovative mobility industry. While research related to airspace, vertiports, navigation, and communication pertinent to Korean UAM is actively pursued by relevant research institutions, there is a significant dearth in studies focusing on establishing concepts for operational management by UAM operators and formulating control procedures. The commercialization of UAM necessitates the establishment of standardized operational management concepts, pivotal as benchmarks for the individual system development among multiple UAM operators. This paper analyzes UAM exceptional law, operational readiness, existing regulations pertaining to commercial and rotary-wing aircraft, and proposes suitable approaches to formulate domestic low-density operational management and control procedures. By presenting strategies for conceptualizing operational management and control procedures in the initial low-density environment for UAM, this paper aspires to contribute to future trail operations and the wider adoption of UAM.

Research Trends on the Structure and System of Nickel Catalysts for Low-Temperature Processes in Highly Efficient Carbon Dioxide Methanation Reactions (고효율 이산화탄소 메탄화 반응을 위한 저온 공정용 니켈 촉매 구조 및 시스템 연구 동향)

  • This review comprehensively reviews the latest research trends in nickel catalysts for low-temperature CO2 methanation reactions, with special emphasis on catalyst synthesis and reactor design for low-temperature CO2 methanation reactions. In addition to the previously reported catalyst synthesis method of impregnation, the effects of structural and chemical properties of catalysts synthesized by solvothermal synthesis and electrospinning on CO2 methanation reactions were analyzed. We also discuss the potential for process cost reduction and scale-up based on 3D catalyst structures and catalyst stacked reactor designs to improve reaction efficiency. It is found that the efficiency of the CO2 methanation reaction can be maximized by controlling the oxygen vacancies and crystal structure of the catalyst through an innovative catalyst synthesis method, and by increasing the active area of nickel through the 3D structure of the catalyst and the reactor design. It is expected that this review will serve as the basis for the field of converting natural gas into CH4, which can be used as a substitute for natural gas while reducing CO2, a major greenhouse gas.

A Study on People Counting in Public Metro Service using Hybrid CNN-LSTM Algorithm (Hybrid CNN-LSTM 알고리즘을 활용한 도시철도 내 피플 카운팅 연구)

  • In line with the trend of industrial innovation, IoT technology utilized in a variety of fields is emerging as a key element in creation of new business models and the provision of user-friendly services through the combination of big data. The accumulated data from devices with the Internet-of-Things (IoT) is being used in many ways to build a convenience-based smart system as it can provide customized intelligent systems through user environment and pattern analysis. Recently, it has been applied to innovation in the public domain and has been using it for smart city and smart transportation, such as solving traffic and crime problems using CCTV. In particular, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the easiness of securing real-time service data and the stability of security when planning underground services or establishing movement amount control information system to enhance citizens' or commuters' convenience in circumstances with the congestion of public transportation such as subways, urban railways, etc. However, previous studies that utilize image data have limitations in reducing the performance of object detection under private issue and abnormal conditions. The IoT device-based sensor data used in this study is free from private issue because it does not require identification for individuals, and can be effectively utilized to build intelligent public services for unspecified people. Especially, sensor data stored by the IoT device need not be identified to an individual, and can be effectively utilized for constructing intelligent public services for many and unspecified people as data free form private issue. We utilize the IoT-based infrared sensor devices for an intelligent pedestrian tracking system in metro service which many people use on a daily basis and temperature data measured by sensors are therein transmitted in real time. The experimental environment for collecting data detected in real time from sensors was established for the equally-spaced midpoints of 4×4 upper parts in the ceiling of subway entrances where the actual movement amount of passengers is high, and it measured the temperature change for objects entering and leaving the detection spots. The measured data have gone through a preprocessing in which the reference values for 16 different areas are set and the difference values between the temperatures in 16 distinct areas and their reference values per unit of time are calculated. This corresponds to the methodology that maximizes movement within the detection area. In addition, the size of the data was increased by 10 times in order to more sensitively reflect the difference in temperature by area. For example, if the temperature data collected from the sensor at a given time were 28.5℃, the data analysis was conducted by changing the value to 285. As above, the data collected from sensors have the characteristics of time series data and image data with 4×4 resolution. Reflecting the characteristics of the measured, preprocessed data, we finally propose a hybrid algorithm that combines CNN in superior performance for image classification and LSTM, especially suitable for analyzing time series data, as referred to CNN-LSTM (Convolutional Neural Network-Long Short Term Memory). In the study, the CNN-LSTM algorithm is used to predict the number of passing persons in one of 4×4 detection areas. We verified the validation of the proposed model by taking performance comparison with other artificial intelligence algorithms such as Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) and RNN-LSTM (Recurrent Neural Network-Long Short Term Memory). As a result of the experiment, proposed CNN-LSTM hybrid model compared to MLP, LSTM and RNN-LSTM has the best predictive performance. By utilizing the proposed devices and models, it is expected various metro services will be provided with no illegal issue about the personal information such as real-time monitoring of public transport facilities and emergency situation response services on the basis of congestion. However, the data have been collected by selecting one side of the entrances as the subject of analysis, and the data collected for a short period of time have been applied to the prediction. There exists the limitation that the verification of application in other environments needs to be carried out. In the future, it is expected that more reliability will be provided for the proposed model if experimental data is sufficiently collected in various environments or if learning data is further configured by measuring data in other sensors.

This research has brought forward two main issues : exhaust emissions (regulated and non-regulated emissions, PM particle matter) and greenhouse gases of vehicle. Exhaust emissions and greenhouse gases of automotive had many problem such as the cause of ambient pollution, health effects. In order to reduce these emissions, many countries are regulating new exhaust gas test modes. Worldwide harmonized light-duty vehicle test procedure (WLTP) for emission certification has been developed in WP.29 forum in UNECE since 2007. This test procedure was applied to domestic light duty diesel vehicles at the same time as Europe. The air pollutant emissions from light-duty vehicles are regulated by the weight per distance, which the driving cycles can affect the results. Exhaust emissions of vehicle varies substantially based on climate conditions, and driving habits. Extreme outside temperatures tend to increasing the emissions, because more fuel must be used to heat or cool the cabin. Also, high driving speeds increases the emissions because of the energy required to overcome increased drag. Compared with gradual vehicle acceleration, rapid vehicle acceleration increases the emissions. Additional devices (air-conditioner and heater) and road inclines also increases the emissions. In this study, three light-duty vehicles were tested with WLTP, NEDC, and FTP-75, which are used to regulate the emissions of light-duty vehicles, and how much emissions can be affected by different driving cycles. The emissions gas have not shown statistically meaningful difference. The maximum emission gas have been found in low speed phase of WLTP which is mainly caused by cooled engine conditions. The amount of emission gas in cooled engine condition is much different as test vehicles. It means different technical solution requires in this aspect to cope with WLTP driving cycle.
