How Does the Human Mind Change from Its First State? An Investigation of the First and the Last Human Mind through Cognitive Mechanism in the Brain (인간의 마음은 어디에서 어디로 변해가는가: 두뇌 인지 메커니즘을 통해 본 인간 마음의 처음과 끝)

  • Even though civilization is developing at a fast rate, human beings and their living environments do not look happy. Given that the civilization comes from the human mind, which is changing in interaction with human body, society, and nature, it is hard to think that the human mind is changing in the desirable direction. This paper described a whole changing paradigm of the human mind and its causes through the cognitive mechanism in the brain from which all the diverse minds are formed. According to the cognitive mechanism, the human mind can change from the first free and peaceful mind through the middle mind to the last obsessive and anguish mind in accordance with the change of one of the factors in the origin of the human mind. Today's unfavorable changes in human beings, society, and the natural environment including the excessive development of civilization are the results of the undesirable changes of the human mind. This paper specified the respective characteristics of the first, middle, and the last mind and discussed where individuals' minds are and where they are going. Lastly, this paper suggested the specific ways to return to the first original mind based on the cognitive mechanism.

  • Spacer dampers maintain the constant gaps between each conductor in a bundle conductor-transmission line, and are installed at proper intervals to keep a line from all sorts of damages derived from the vibration energy caused by mechanical or electrical external factors. It is most important to embody a technology which considers difficulties of maintenance and repair, and has optimum elements in order to prevent accidents such as destruction by fire or the snapping of a wire by the effect of vibration phenomenon coming from transmission lint In the resent thesis, therefore, the analysis of vibratory characteristics of spacer damper is set up by analytical methods such as the analysis of conductor motion's governing equation, the equation of spacer damper's motion, spacer damper-fastened wire's motion in a span and the numerical analysis of finite difference method. Furthermore, the installation distance between spacer dampers was scrutinized by simulations of various vibration phenomena which change at any time as actual conditions do, and hereafter difference method.   • Inverse kinematics is a very useful method for control]ing the posture of an articulated body. In most inverse kinematics processes, the major matter of concern is not the posture of an articulated body itself but the position and direction of the end effector. In some applications such as 3D character animations, however, it is more important to generate an overall natural posture for the character rather than place the end effector in the exact position. Indeed, when an animator wants to modify the posture of a human-like 3D character with many physical constraints, he has to undergo considerable trial-and-error to generate a realistic posture for the character. In this paper, the Inductive Inverse Kinematics(IIK) algorithm using a Uniform Posture Map(UPM) is proposed to control the posture of a human-like 3D character. The proposed algorithm quantizes human behaviors without distortion to generate a UPM, and then generates a natural posture by searching the UPM. If necessary, the resulting posture could be compensated with a traditional Cyclic Coordinate Descent (CCD). The proposed method could be applied to produce 3D-character animations based on the key frame method, 3D games and virtual reality.

Development of Quantitative Risk Assessment Methodology for the Maritime Transportation Accident of Merchant Ship (상선 운항 사고의 양적 위기평가기법 개발)

  • This paper describes empirical approach methodology for the quantitative risk assessment of maritime transportation accident (MTA) of a merchant ship. The principal aim of this project is to estimate the risk of MTA that could degrade the ship safety by analyzing the underlying factors contributing to MTA based on the IMO's Formal Safety Assessment techniques and, by assessing the probabilistic risk level of MTA based on the quantitative risk assessment methodology. The probabilistic risk level of MTA to Risk Index (RI) composed with Probability Index (PI) and Severity Index (SI) can be estimated from proposed Maritime Transportation Accident Model (MTAM) based on Bayesian Network with Bayesian theorem Then the applicability of the proposed MTAM can be evaluated using the scenario group with 355 core damaged accident history. As evaluation results, the correction rate of estimated PI, $r_{Acc}$ is shown as 82.8%, the over ranged rate of PI variable sensitivity with $S_p{\gg}1.0$ and $S_p{\ll}1.0$ is shown within 10%, the averaged error of estimated SI, $\bar{d_{SI}}$ is shown as 0.0195 and, the correction rate of estimated RI, $r_{Acc}$(%), is shown as 91.8%. These results clearly shown that the proposed accident model and methodology can be use in the practical maritime transportation field.

  • With the development of economy and improving of people's living standards, people dietary needs will be achieved from subsistence to high nutrition and from high nutrition to healthy transformation. Mushroom as a kind of highly nutritious, low fat, rich vitamin food has a great interest among the people. This makes the mushroom into a new sunrise industry and it gradually from pure manual cultivation develops toward the fully automatic factory. In the process of mushroom factory production, regulation of environmental factors directly affects the yield and quality of mushroom. In related to the methods of mushroom cultivation, the recent technologies apply the new technology such as sensors and IT convergence services. And then cultivating mushroom is managed effectively. This paper in order to solve the above problems and construct an effective mushroom growth environment using technology such as humidity sensor construct an environment that can automatically adjust the humidity. This environment has important significance to improve the level of automation mushroom production, increase yield per unit area and quality of mushroom, increase economic efficiency of mushroom production, and enhance the competitiveness of mushroom production.

  • University environment on campus has been changed faster than before in today. Especially, they have devised middle & long-term development plans such as improving the image of campus and increasing campus competitive power to overcome difficulties in campus management. Therefore, many of those have made every effort to provide convenient university services for campus students and to improve the image of campus through building a Ubiquitous-Campus. But existing systems of a Ubiquitous-Campus have not understood actual conditions of IT (Information Technology) for campus students or not provided basic environment to analyze actual conditions of efficient using the system, expectations of the following people about a Ubiquitous-Campus is getting higher md higher though. Must become technology base ubiquitous campus construction, and is real erudition that ubiquitous campus model who can utilize substantially through service construction that is required newly with student's IT infra practical use analysis hereupon such as is required to solve these problems, But there is a limitation on designing the model in rapidly changed university environment on campus. In this paper, we studied about a Students Centralized Ubiquitous Campus model through U-Learning, U-Recruit, U-Printer, and personal information history service which are based on data warehouse for students analysis which is a key point element of building a Ubiquitous Campus.

  • 효율적 물관리란 거대한 물순환 과정에서 인간이 편안한 삶을 사는데 필요한 물의 이용효율을 극대화하는 것이다. 과거의 물관리는 이원화된 수량과 수질관리, 수량중심에서는 용수공급과 홍수조절이 주요한 관심사였다. 현재는 과거의 물관리에 친수와 환경을 더한 복잡한 분야로 확대되고 있다. 통합물관리란 물을 최적으로 관리하기 위해 물관리 이해당사자간의 소통과 물 기술의 고도화를 기반으로 기존에 분산된 물관리 구성요소들(시설 정보, 수량 수질 등)을 권역적으로 관리하는 것을 말한다. 본 연구에서는 대청댐 방류에 따른 금강 하류부의 홍수추적을 위해 수행한 댐하류 소유역별 강우량 빈도분석 과정, 용담댐 방류를 고려한 대청댐 홍수도달시간 검토, Poincare Section과 신경망기법을 이용한 수문자료 예측, 추계학적 다변량 해석과 다변량 신경망해석에 의한 대청댐 유입량 산정과정, 보조여수로 건설에 따른 주여수로와 보조여수로간의 연계운영방안, 단계(관심, 주의, 경계, 심각)를 고려한 대청댐 확보수위 산정, 저수지 중장기 운영계획 수립과 댐 운영 기준수위를 결정하기 위해 누가차분방식으로 적용되는 갈수기 유입량 빈도분석에 대한 실무적용 사례를 소개하고자 한다. 강우량 빈도분석 과정은 L-모멘트방법(Hosking과 Wallis, 1993)을 적용하였고, 홍수도달시간 검토는 평균유속, 하류 수위상승 기점 영향검토, 수리학적 모형(FLDWAV, Progressive lag method 등)을 활용하였다. 카오스 이론을 도입하여 대청댐 수문자료의 상관성 검토 및 추계학적 모형을 이용한 모의발생을 유도하여 수문자료 예측을 시행하였다. 추계학적 모형과 신경망모형 연구의 대상은 대청댐으로, 시계열 자료는 댐의 월강우량, 월유입량, 최고기온, 평균기온, 최소기온, 습도, 증발량 등의 자료를 기반으로 하였다. 적용기간은 1981~2009년의 자료를 이용하여 2010년 1월부터 12월까지 12개월 동안의 월유입량을 예측하였다. 수문자료 해석의 기본이 되는 약 30년간의 자료를 이용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 대청댐의 유입량 예측을 위해 적용된 모형으로는 추계학적 모형인 ARMA모형, TF모형, TFN 모형 등이 적용되었고, 또한 신경망 모형의 종류인 다층 퍼셉트론, PCA모형 등을 활용하여 실측치와 가장 가깝게 근사화시키는 방법론을 찾고자 하였다. 또한, 기존여수로와 보조여수로 연계운영을 위해 3차원 수치해석을 통한 댐하류 안정성 검토 및 확보수위 산정을 통해 단계(관심, 주의, 경계, 심각)별로 대처가 가능한 수위를 산정하였다.

An Efficiency Comparison of Container Terminals in Korea and China by Using Super Efficiency-DEA and Malmquist Productivity Index (Supper Efficiency DEA와 Malmquist 생산성 지수를 활용한 한·중 컨테이너터미널의 효율성 비교)

  • The objective of this study was to select world top 20 major container terminals that belong to Korea and China as comparison units to analyze their efficiency and productivity trend. Super Efficiency Data Envelopment Analysis(SE-DEA) and Malmquist Productivity Index(MPI) models were applied to this study. Compared with previous studies, we narrowed down the scope of the comparison units to terminals and conducted more detailed analysis to present more meaningful implications to the actual operation. The different result from existing studies, SE-DEA analysis implied that the major terminals of Busan New Port showed similar efficiency and productivity with China's terminals. In MPI analysis, the average index of Korean and China's terminals is 1.051 and 1.049. The analysis indicates that the productivity was improved 5.1% and 4.9% annually. From 2012 to 2015, the average terminal TCI index of South Korea and China were 1.032 and 1.0318-the main factor which influences MPI. This means improving productivity mainly rely on investment in new equipment and technology upgrades rather than improve operational efficiency over the past few years. Future management decisions should consider more aggressive marketing to increase the volume and improve operational efficiency to enhance productivity. Further research should apply the overall efficiency of the methodology considering the financial diversification, terminal capacity, service levels, and other factors.

  • The wall paintings of the Afrasiab Palace in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, located at the center of the Silk Road where the culture of the East and the West crossed from ancient times to the Middle Ages, have been unearthed in 1960s and attracted attention from academia. In particular, two characters wearing a Korean ancient hat (Jougwan), who were considered to be ancient Korean, were found in the western wall. The wall depicted the Coronation of King Barfuman of Sogdiana Kingdom in 7th century. It is being used as an important feed for studying the international situation and cultural characteristics at that time. This mural, which is now in the Historical Museum of Afrasiab, contain four different paintings at each side, and has its own cultural characteristics and elements. Nevertheless, there has been no development of storytelling and cultural contents using it. The purpose of this study is to find out how to develop and utilize cultural contents and characters based on the paintings of west wall of Afrasiab palace. To this end, we visited the museum and investigated the mural as well as surveyed many academic materials.

  • Big data-related research that deals with the amount of explosive information in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is actively underway. Big data is an essential element that promotes the development of artificial intelligence with a wide range of data that become learning data for machine learning, or deep learning. The use of deep learning and big data in various fields has produced meaningful results. In this paper, we have investigated the use of Big Data in the cultural arts industry, focusing on video contents. Noteworthy is that big data is used not only in the distribution of cultural and artistic contents but also in the production stage. In particular, we first looked at what kind of achievements and changes the Netflix in the US brought to the OTT business, and analyzed the current state of the OTT business in Korea. After that, Netflix analyzed the success stories of 'House of Cards', which was produced / circulated through 'Deep Learning' cinematique, which is a prediction algorithm, through accumulated customer data. After that, FGI (Focus Group Interview) was held for cultural and artistic contents experts. In this way, the future prospects of Big Data in the domestic culture and arts industry are divided into technical aspect, creative aspect, and ethical aspect.
