Changes in Activities of Daily Living of Children with Spastic Cerebral Palsy According to Gross Motor Function Classification System After One Year of Physical and Occupational Therapy (물리 및 작업치료 1년 후 대동작 기능분류체계에 따른 경직성 뇌성마비 아동의 일상생활동작 변화)

  • This study was conducted to investigate changes in activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) after one year of physical and occupational therapy and to compare the responsiveness of ADL tools. A total of 48 children with spastic cerebral palsy participated in the study. The GMFCS, Functional Independence Measure for Children (WeeFIM), and Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI) were measured. The results showed that the GMFCS was significantly correlated with the PEDI (p<0.05), while there was a significant difference in the change of ADLs measured by the PEDI, but not the WeeFIM. There was a significant difference in the changes in ADLs according to the GMFCS, and the change in ADLs in the high functional level group was significantly higher than in the low functional level group (p<0.05). After physical and occupational therapy, the degree of improvement of ADLs varied according to the GMFCS, but seemed to be improved in a clinically meaningfully way. The PEDI is sensitive to changes in ADLs, so it may be used widely in clinical practice.

A study on the selection of priority management watershed for the restoration of water cycle (물순환 회복을 위한 우선관리유역 선정 방안에 대한 연구)

  • The paradigm of water cycle management in the watershed is changing due to the increase in abnormal climate phenomena caused by climate change and the increase in impervious area due to urbanization. Research is continuously underway based on Low Impact Development technology that can suppress water cycle distortion. In this study, factors that can reflect water cycle distortion were selected before applying LID, and the PSR index for each 148 watershed was calculated for the the Nakdonggang River basin. As of 1975, the PSR index is calculated by calculating the pressure index P, which represents the rate of change in impervious surface area to 2019, the phenomenon index S, which represents the rate of change in water cycle for each subwatershed, and the Low Impact Development area countermeasure index R. The lower PSR index value, the higher the priority management watershed, and the water cycle recovery priority management watershed was calculated in the order of 1, 2, 87, 90, 91, and 147. It is expected that the efficient application of low-impact development factors in accordance with the order of priority management of water cycle by subwatershed in the large area will contribute to the recovery of water cycle distortion.

  • 이상기후 현상으로 기후변화가 사회와 경제에 미치는 영향이 뚜렷한 추세로 변화되고 있다. 현재 기후변화에 관련된 연구는 사회 시스템에서 위험관리를 위해 기온과 강수량에 따라 다양한 분야에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구를 중점으로 이뤄지고 있다. 본 연구는 여름철 폭염에 의한 기후변화가 하천수질에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위한 것으로, 우리나라 기상청 91개의 기상관측소에서 일일온도 33℃ 이상의 이벤트를 대상으로 환경부 수질관측망 918개에 대한 14개의 하천수질인자인 DO, BOD, COD, TOC, DOC, TN, DTN, NH4-N, NO2-N, NO3-N, TP, DTP, PO4-P, Chl-a를 분석하였다. 이를 우리나라 117개 중권역별 하천수질과 폭염강도와 지속시간을 나타내는 폭염 지수를 산정하여 분석하였다. 폭염 관련 뉴스 데이터는 2013년부터 2019년까지 Python 기반 뉴스 크롤러를 이용해 폭염 취약지수(Heat Wave Vulnerability Index, HWVI)를 기준으로 분류하여 키워드를 수집하였으며 HWVI 중 '기후노출' 키워드와 관련된 기사는 총 22,514건으로 69.9%로 수집되었다. 공간적 영향 평가를 위해 Getis-Ord Gi*를 이용하여 폭염지수와 하천수질인자간 핫스팟 분석을 실시하고 폭염관련 빅데이터가 하천수질에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 폭염지수는 낙동강유역 하류에 대해 Chl-a, TN, TP 항목에서 높은 밀도를 보였다. 분석대상지역 내 폭염이 발생한 확률과 반경 밖에서 발생할 확률의 우도비를 분석하기 위해 SaTScan을 이용한 공간검색통계분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 폭염지수와 DO의 공간상관성이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

Sensitivity analysis of flood vulnerability index of levee according to climate change (기후변화에 따른 제방의 홍수취약성지수 민감도 분석)

  • In this study, a new methodology was proposed to evaluate the flood vulnerability of river levee and to investigate the effect on the levee where the water level changes according to climate change. The stability of levee against seepage was evaluated using SEEP/W model which is two-dimensional groundwater infiltration model. In addition to the infiltration behavior, it is necessary to analyze the vulnerability of the embankment considering the environmental conditions of the river due to climate change. In this study, the levee flood vulnerability index (LFVI) was newly developed by deriving the factors necessary for the analysis of the levee vulnerability. The size of river levee was investigated by selecting the target area. The selected levees were classified into upstream part, midstream part and downstream part at the nearside of Seoul in the Han river, and the safety factor of the levee was analyzed by applying the design flood level of the levee. The safety ratio of the levee was analyzed by applying the design flood level considering the current flood level and the scenario of climate change RCP8.5. The degree of change resulting from climate change was identified for each factor that forms the levee flood vulnerability index. By using the levee flood vulnerability index value utilizing these factors comprehensively, it was finally possible to estimate the vulnerability of levee due to climate change.

A Study on Quantitative Performance Index for Phase-Change Cooling Systems (상변화 냉각시스템의 정량적 성능지수 연구)

  • In this paper, I introduce Phase-Change Cooling for thermal management of high power devices that can be applied to High Power Laser and Electric Propulsion Systems which are composed of multiple distributed superheat sources. Phase-Change Cooling can be good used to efficient cooling of their heat sources. Phase-Change Cooling has extremely high efficiency of two-phase heat transport by utilizing heat of vaporization, relatively low flow rates and reduced pumps power. And I suggest TPI(Thermal Performance Index) which is a quantitative performance index of Phase-Change Cooling for thermal management. I quantify the performance of Phase-Change Cooling by introducing TPI. I present the test results of TPI's changing refrigerant, heat sink and flow rate of the Phase-Change Cooling system through the experiments and analyze these results.

  • SPECT 영상에서 콤프톤 산란 광자는 공간분해능의 감소와 그 양을 측정하는데 있어 정확성과 정밀성을 감소시킨다. 이와같은 콤프톤 산란의 영향을 감소시키기 위하여 사용하는 대부분의 보정방법은 선원의 위치로부터 거리의 단일지수함수로 대칭인 산란분포함수를 고려하게 된다. 본 연구는 균등 및 불균등 산란에 대한 산란분포함수를 얻기 위하여 보다 현실적인 접근방법을 시도하였다. 산란 및 비산란광자의 공간분포와 에너지분포를 얻기 위하여 뼈, 폐, 물의 균등 및 불균등 분포로 된 원통형의 팬톰 속에 $^{99m}Tc$의 선선원 및 점선원을 놓고 Monte Carlo Simulation을 하였으며, 깊이의 함수, media의 접촉영역으로부터 선원거리 및 산란체의 밀도의 변화로 표현한 산란분포함수(SDF)를 얻었다. 산란분포함수는 균등한 뼈, 폐, 물에서는 선원위치로부터 거리의 단일지수함수(single exponential functions)로 대칭으로 나타났으며, 두 물체의 조합에서는 2중지수함수(dual exponential functions)로 비대칭으로 나타났다. 산란분율은 20% window photopeak에서 총 계수의 8%에서 53%까지 다양한 변화가 있었으며, 지수함수의 기울기는 $0.1{\sim}0.9\;cm^{-1}$의 범위로 나타났다. 불균등 산란체에서 얻은 산란분포함수는 SPECT 영상에 있어 콤프톤 산란의 감소에 대한 보다 정확한 보정방법의 개발에 필요한 정보를 제공할 것이다.

  • Recently, the number of damages on social infrastructure has increased due to natural disasters and the frequency of earthquake events that are higher than magnitude 3 has increased in South Korea. Liquefaction was found near the epicenter of a 5.4 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Pohang, South Korea, in 2017. To explore increases in soil moisture index due to soil liquefaction, changes in the remote exploration index by the land cover before and post-earthquake occurrence were analyzed using liquefaction feasibility index and multi-cyclical Landsat-8 satellite images. We found that the soil moisture index(SMI) in the liquefaction region immediately after the earthquake event increased significantly using the Normal Vegetation Index(NDVI) and Surface Temperature(LST).

Spatiotemporal Monitoring of Soybean Growth and Water Status Using Drone-Based Shortwave Infrared (SWIR) Imagery (드론 기반 단파적외(SWIR) 영상을 활용한 콩의 생장과 수분 변화 모니터링)

  • Monitoring crop growth changes and water content is crucial in the agricultural sector. This study utilized drones equipped with Short Wavelength Infrared (SWIR) sensors, sensitive to moisture changes, to observe soybeans' growth and water content variations. We confirmed that as soybeans grow more vigorously, their water content increases and differences in irrigation levels lead to decreases in vegetation and moisture indices. This suggests that waterlogging slows down soybean growth and reduces water content, highlighting the importance of detailed monitoring of vegetation and moisture indices at different growth stages to enhance crop productivity and minimize damage from waterlogging. Such monitoring could also preemptively detect and prevent the adverse effects of moisture changes, such as droughts, on crop growth. By demonstrating the potential for early diagnosis of moisture stress using drone-based SWIR sensors, this research suggests improvements in the efficiency of large-scale crop management and increases in yield, contributing to agricultural production.

  • 소류지의 주변으로 농축산농가와 마을 등이 위치할 경우 지속적인 오염물질 유입과 강우시 농경지등에서 발생하는 비점오염물질 유입 등으로 부영양화의 원인이 되고 있으며, 이로 인해 식물성 플랑크톤의 이상번식으로 부영양화가 악화되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 태양전지 물순환장치를 이용하여 부영양화 저감효과를 평가하고자 한다. 소류지내에 태양전지 물순환장치를 설치 후 식물성 플랑크톤과 부영양화지수를 평가한 결과. 전체 식물성 플랑크톤 현존량의 경우 큰 변화가 나타나지 않았으나, 부영양화의 주요인 중 하나인 남조류가 제어되었으며, 부영양화지수는 가동기간이 증가함에 따라 부영양화지수가 감소하는 것으로 나타나 부영양화 방지에 있어서 효과적이라 판단된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 점토퇴적지반의 투수특성을 실험적으로 연구하기 위하여 표준압밀시험, 일정변형률압밀시험 등을 수행하였다. 시험결과를 분석하여 비등방성, 투수변화지수, 간극비와 의 관계 및 투수계수에 영향을 미치는 다양한 영향요소에 관하여 고찰하였으며, 대표투수계수를 제안하였다.
