기본소생술 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호대학생의 지식과 수기에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Simulation-based Training for Basic Life Support on the Knowledge and Skills of the Nursing College Students)

  • 본 연구는 기본소생술 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호대학생의 지식과 수기에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위해 시도된 비동등성 대조군 전후 유사 실험 연구이다. 연구대상은 D시에 소재한 D대학 간호과에 재학 중인 2학년으로 실험군 16명, 대조군 17명으로 구성하였으며 실험군은 시뮬레이션 교육을 제공받은 군이며, 대조군은 전통적인 교육을 제공받은 군이다. 자료수집기간은 2009년 8월 24일부터 9월 1일까지였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS/PC 12.0 win을 사용하여 실수와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, Fisher's exact, independent t-test, paired t-test, ANCOVA를 이용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시뮬레이션 교육을 받은 실험군과 전통적 교육을 받은 대조군의 기본소생술 지식점수는 유의한 차이가 없었다(F=.568, p=.573). 둘째, 시뮬레이션 교육을 받은 실험군은 전통적 교육을 받은 대조군보다 기본소생술 수기점수가 유의하게 높았다(F=19.407, p=.000). 이상의 결과를 볼 때, 기본소생술 시뮬레이션 교육은 간호대학생의 기본소생술 수행능력 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 간호학 교수들은 본 연구에서 활용된 효율적인 시뮬레이션 교육을 간호대학생의 기본소생술 수행능력 향상에 적극 활용할 것을 제언하는 바이다.

일 대학 간호학생의 자기효능감, 실습만족도 및 기본간호수기술과의 관계 (A Study Related to Self-Efficacy, Satisfaction with Practice and Fundamentals of Nursing Practicum)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among self-efficacy, satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum in student nurses. Method: The participants were 185 first year students at K College of Nursing in Jeonbuk Province who were taking a practicum for Fundamentals of Nursing and agreed to participate in the study. Data collection was done from November 19 to 30, 2007. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire on self-efficacy, satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum. Data were analyzed by SPSS-PC ver 12.0. Results: Self-efficacy and fundamentals of nursing practicum were significantly different depending on satisfaction with major and school life. Satisfaction with practice was significantly different depending on relationship with schoolmates and school life. Self-efficacy showed a significantly positive correlation with satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum. Also, satisfaction with practice showed a significantly positive correlation with fundamentals of nursing practicum. Conclusion: This study suggests that self-efficacy helps student nurses to plan a self-directed nursing performance, improves their ability to solve problems and helps to perform fundamentals of nursing practicum well.

간호대학생의 기본간호수기 수행능력의 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Basic Nursing Skill Competency in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This research was conducted to identify major factors that influence competency for nursing students in basic nursing skills. Method: Data were collected by questionnaires from 290 first year students in one college of nursing. The instrument tools included motivation for admission to nursing, concern about fundamentals of nursing, perceived importance of fundamentals of nursing, level of active participation in fundamentals of nursing, number of times to use open Lab, Lab class satisfaction, self-efficacy, self-evaluation and student attitude. Results: There was no significant correlation between competency in basic nursing skills and motivation for admission to nursing, concern about fundamentals of nursing, perceived importance of fundamentals of nursing, or number of times to use open Lab. Competency in basic nursing skill in these students showed a significantly positive correlation to Lab class satisfaction, self-efficacy, self-evaluation, student attitude and level of active participation in fundamentals of nursing. The major factors that influenced competency in basic nursing skills for nursing students were student attitude, self-efficacy and number of times to use open Lab. These factors explained 15.5% of the variance in competency. Conclusion: Basic nursing skill practice education programs should be developed to improve self-efficacy and active participation.

핵심기본간호술 교육프로그램이 핵심기본간호술 수행능력, 임상수행능력 및 문제해결과정에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Core Fundamental Nursing Program on Core Fundamental Nursing Skills Competency, Clinical Competency and Problem Solving Process)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 졸업반 간호학생에게 한 학기 동안 적용한 핵심기본간호술 교육프로그램이 핵심기본간호술 수행능력, 임상수행능력 및 문제해결과정에 미치는 효과를 규명하고자 하는 것이었으며 단일군 사전사후 설계의 원시실험연구였다. 핵심기본간호술 교육프로그램은 3단계로 구성하였으며, 총 12회기로 운영하였다. 연구대상자는 일개 간호대학의 졸업학년 총 192명이었으며 2017년 3월 20일부터 6월 23일까지 실시하였다. 자료는 AMOS 20.0과 S AS 9.3 프로그램을 이용해 기술통계와 paired t-test, t-검정, ANOVA로 분석되었다. 연구결과로, 핵심기본간호술 교육프로그램에 대한 사전사후 인식으로 수기능력 증진 도움 여부는 사전 $(3.42{\pm}.42)$점, 사후 $3.88({\pm}.61)$점, 임상적응력증진 도움 여부는 사전 $3.74({\pm}.47)$점, 사후 $(3.98{\pm}.67)$점으로 나타났다. 핵심기본간호술 수행능력(p=.017)과 임상수행능력(p=.041)은 핵심기본간호술 교육프로그램 후에 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다. 대상자의 사후 핵심기본간호술 수행능력은 남성 군(p=.003), 간호학전공 만족도가 매우 만족한 군(p=<.000), 핵심경진대회 참여 목적은 자신감 향상 군(p=.044)에서, 사후 임상수행능력은 남성 군(p=.013), 간호학전공 만족도가 매우 만족한 군(p=.009), 핵심경진대회 참여 목적은 자신감 향상 군(p=.047), 사후 문제해결과정은 남성 군(p=.005), 간호학전공 만족도가 매우 만족한 군(p=<.000), 핵심경진대회 참여 목적은 자신감 향상 군(p=.004)에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 결론적으로 이 연구는 졸업반 간호학생의 핵심기본간호술 교육프로그램이 핵심기본간호술 수행능력 및 임상수행능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다.

4년제 간호대학생의 자기효능감과 간호수기능력과의 관계 (Relationship between Self-Efficacy and Clinical Skill Competence of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify the relationship between self-efficacy and clinical skill competence of nursing students. Method: The participants in the study were 375 student nurses enrolled in 3rd & 4th year of a BSN program in Seoul and Gyeongi province, Korea. Data were collected from December 12, 2004 to November 30, 2005 using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS 11.0 Win program. Results: The average score for self-efficacy was $3.21{\pm}0.60$, and for clinical skill competence $2.80{\pm}0.42$. The self-efficacy score showed a significant difference according to student's year in college (t=2.494, p=0.013), and GPA score (t=4.299, p=0.000). The clinical skill competence score showed a significant difference according to year in college (t=5.351, p=0.000), GPA score (t=2.997, p=0.003) and satisfaction with course (F=5.214, p=0.006). There was a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and clinical skill competence (r=0.224, p=0.000). Conclusion: These findings show that there is a need to develop strategies to improve self-efficacy for student nurses in Korea. And also, it is recommended that programs to improve clinical skill competence need to be included in nursing curricula.

  • 본 연구는 간호학생의 간호 수기술 향상을 위해 사전 동영상 학습방법을 활용한 기본간호학 실습 교육평가방법의 학습동기, 학업적 자기효능감 및 문제해결과정을 파악하고자 하는 상관성 조사연구였다. 학습동기와 학업적 자기효능감은 간호과 선택동기, 전공만족도, 기본간호학실습 만족도, 사전 동영상 시청의 도움정도, 체크리스트 활용 실기평가의 적절성에 따라 통계적으로 차이가 있었다. 문제해결과정은 전공만족도, 기본간호학실습만족도, 사전 동영상 시청의 도움 정도, 체크리스트 활용 실기평가의 적절성에 따라 통계적으로 차이가 있었다. 학습동기는 학업적 자기효능감 및 문제해결과정과, 학업적 자기효능감은 문제해결과정과 유의한 정적상관관계를 나타냈다. 결론적으로, 사전 동영상 학습방법을 활용한 기본간호학실습 교육평가방법은 간호학생의 학습동기, 학업적 자기효능감 및 문제해결과정과 관련이 있었다.

  • Purpose: This study was done to verify effects of a self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos on nursing students' basic nursing skills, confidence in performance and learning satisfaction. Methods: In this study an experimental study with a post-test only control group design was used. Twenty-nine students were assigned to the experimental group and 29 to the control group. Experimental treatment was exchanging feedback on deficiencies through smartphone recorded videos of nursing practice process taken by peers during self-directed practice. Results: Basic nursing skills scores were higher for all items in the experimental group compared to the control group, and differences were statistically significant ["Measuring vital signs" (t=-2.10, p=.039); "Wearing protective equipment when entering and exiting the quarantine room and the management of waste materials" (t=-4.74, p<.001) "Gavage tube feeding" (t=-2.70, p=.009)]. Confidence in performance was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the differences were not statistically significant. However, after the complete practice, there was a statistically significant difference in overall performance confidence (t=-3.07. p=.003). Learning satisfaction was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (t=-1.67, p=.100). Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos can improve basic nursing skills. The significance is that it can help nursing students gain confidence in their nursing skills for the future through improvement of basic nursing skills and performance of quality care, thus providing patients with safer care.

임상실습 전 간호학생에게 적용한 OSCE 프로그램 효과 (The Effects of OSCE Application Before Clinical Practice for Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The study was done to identify the effects of OSCE program prior to clinical practice for nursing students and to find out the weakest area of fundamental nursing skills. Methods: Study design was methodological triangulation. Qualitative analysis was done to derive nursing students' OSCE experiences using OSCE reflection note. Level of basic nursing skill acquirement was identified by quantitative method. Results: Four themes and 10 sub-categories emerged: (a) confidence and interests in nursing being increased, (b) being encouraged by mentor and evaluator, (c) requiring much effort to learn nursing skill, (d) being aware of themselves and understanding others in their shoes. Results of analysis of OSCE application score record showed as followings ; Intravenous injection(92.6%), Intramuscular injection(89.5%), Foley catheterization(85.2%), Vital sign(81.5%): BP check(63.0%) Respiration check(50.0%), Health assessment: respiration sound auscultation(33.3%) heart sound auscultation(44.4%). Conclusion: OSCE program application before frist clinical nursing practice was effective in terms of fundamental nursing skills learning. It is necessary to reinforce nursing skills based on the study results.

학생에 의한 OSCE 모듈 개발 활동의 교육적 효과 (Educational Effects of OSCE Module Development Activity on Student Nurses)

  • Purpose: Objective Structured Clinical Examination(OSCE) has been used for clinical skill evaluation. This study was done investigate whether there are positive impact educational effects if nursing students are invited to develop OSCE modules. Method: The participants were 63 second-year students in one nursing college. Students were divided into 3 groups; the OSCE module development group(Exp1), traditional study group(Exp2), and control group(Cnt). Students were allocated according to clinical skill test scores to make the 3 groups equal. Exp1 developed OSCE modules, and Exp2 studied using traditional methods. Clinical skill tests and surveys were done to measure self-directed readiness, problem-solving ability, and self-efficacy before and after experimental treatments. Results: Clinical skill test scores increased significantly in all three groups, but Exp1 and Exp2 showed a higher clinical skill test score increment than Cnt. Self-directed readiness scores increased significantly in Exp1, but not in Exp2 and Cnt. Problem-solving ability scores increased significantly in Exp1 compared to Cont. Conclusion: Development of OSCE modules has positive educational effects for participating students in terms of clinical skill tests, self-directed readiness, and problem-solving ability.
