A Study of Infinite Failure NHPP Software Reliability Growth Model base on Record Value Statistics with Gamma Family of Lifetime Distribution (수명분포가 감마족인 기록값 통계량에 기초한 무한고장 NHPP 소프트웨어 신뢰성장 모형에 관한 비교 연구)

  • Infinite failure NHPP models for a record value satisfies mode proposed in the literature exhibit either monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, propose comparative study of software reliability model using Erlang distribution, Rayleigh and Gumbel distribution. Equations to estimate the parameters using maximum likelihood estimation of infinite failure NHPP model based on failure data collected in the form of interfailure times are developed. For the sake of proposing distribution, we used to the special pattern. Analysis of failure data set using arithmetic and Laplace trend tests, goodness-of-fit test, bias tests is presented.

  • 전자의무기록 (EMR)과 같은 의료 현장에서 수집되는 대용량의 데이터는 임상 해석적으로 잠재가치가 크고 활용도가 다양하나 결측값이 많아 희소성이 크다는 한계점이 있어 분석이 어렵다. 특히 EMR의 정보수집과정에서 발생하는 결측값은 무작위적이고 임의적이어서 분석 정확도를 낮추고 예측 모델의 성능을 저하시키는 주된 요인으로 작용하기 때문에, 결측치 대체는 필수불가결하다. 최근 통상적으로 활용되어지던 통계기반 알고리즘기반의 결측치 대체 알고리즘보다는 딥러닝 기술을 활용한 알고리즘들이 새로이 등장하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Generative Adversarial Network를 기반한 최신 결측값 대치 알고리즘인 Generative Adversarial Imputation Nets을 적용하여 EMR에서의 성능을 분석해보고자 하였다.

  • Wins above replacement (WAR) is one of the most widely used statistic among sabermatrics statistics that measure the ability of a batter in baseball. WAR has a great advantage that is to represent the attack power of the player and the base running ability, defensive ability as a single value. In this study, we proposed a hitter ability index using the sabermetrics statistics that can replace WAR based on Korea Baseball Record Data of the last three years (2013-2015). First, we calculated Batter ability index through the arithmetic mean method, the weighted average method, principal component regression and selected the method that had high correlation with WAR.

  • 최근 다변량 확률모형을 이용한 빈도해석이 여러 수문분야에 걸쳐 연구되고 있다. 기존 일변량 빈도해석에 비해 변수활용에 대한 자유도와 물리적 현상을 정확하게 표현할 수 있다는 장점이 있으나, 표본자료의 부족, 매개변수 추정 및 적합도 검정 등의 어려움으로 실제 분야에 사용되기 어려운 점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 copula 모형에 대하여 Cramer-von Mises(CVM) 적합도 검정 시 표본자료의 적정 크기를 결정하기 위하여 Peaks-Over-Threshold(POT) 방법을 이용하였다. 서울지점의 기상청 시강우 자료를 이용하여 빈도해석을 수행하였으며, Gumbel copula 모형에 대하여 매개변수 추정은 maximum pseudolikelihood method(MPL) 방법을 이용하였다. 50년의 기록 자료에 대하여 표본크기를 50개부터 2500개까지 조절하여 CVM 통계값과 p-value를 기준으로 적정 표본크기를 산정하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 소프트웨어 제품을 개발하여 테스팅을 거친 후 사용자에게 인도하는 시기를 결정하는 방출문제에 대하여 연구되었다. 소프트웨어의 결함을 제거하거나 수정 작업 중에도 새로운 결함이 발생될 가능성이 있는 무한고장수를 가진 비동질적인 포아송 과정에 기초하고 수명분포는 신뢰도 측면에서 여러 분포들을 적합시키는데 효율적인 특성을 가진 와이블분포를 이용한 최적 방출시기에 관한 문제를 제시하여 소프트웨어 요구 신뢰도를 만족시키고 소프트웨어 개발 및 유지 총비용을 최소화 시키는 최적 소프트웨어 방출 정책에 대하여 논의되었다.

Determination of Significance Threshold for Detecting QTL in Pigs (돼지의 QTL 검색을 위한 유의적 임계수준(Threshold) 결정)

  • Interval mapping using microsatellite markers was employed to detect quantitative trait loci (QTL) in the experimental cross between Berkshire and Yorkshire pigs. In order to derive critical values (CV) for test statistics for declaring significance of QTL, permutation test (PT) of Churchill and Doerge method(1994) and the analytical method(LK) of Lander and Kruglyak(1995) were used by each trait and chromosome. 525 $F_2$ progeny phenotypes of five traits(carcass weight, loin eye area, marbling score, cholesterol content, last back fat thickness) and genotypes of 125 markers covering the genome were used. Data were analyzed by line cross regression interval mapping with an F-test every by 1cM. PT CV were based on 10,000 permutations. CV at genome-wise test were 10.5 for LK and ranged from 8.1 to 8.3 for PT, depending on the trait. CV, differed substantially between methods, led to different numbers of quantitative trait loci (QTL) to be detected. PT results in the least stringent CV compared at the same % level.

  • Various statistical classification methods to predict election to the Major League Baseball hall of fame of are implemented and their accuracies are compared. Seventeen independent variables are selected from the data of candidates eligible for the hall of fame and well-known classification methods such as discriminant analysis and logistic regression as well as the recently proposed Mahalanobis-Taguchi system(MTS). The MTS showed a better performance than the others in classification accuracy because it is especially efficient in cases where multivariate data does not constitute directionally geographical groups according to attributes.

Analysis on mandibular movement using the JT-3D system (JT-3D system을 이용한 하악의 운동 분석)

  • Purpose: This study aims to measure the mandibular movement using JT-3D system and provide a range of mandibular movement that can serve as a good reference for diagnosing the temporomandibular disorder. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted in 60 young male and female adults. The maximum opening and closing movement was recorded using JT-3D system, and by regarding 5 times of repetitive movement as 1 cycle of movement, total 3 cycles of movement were recorded. During the maximum opening, vertical position of lower jaw, antero-posterior position, lateral deflection position, and maximum opening distance were recorded. To evaluate the reproducibility of JT-3D system, statistical analysis were conducted (α = 0.05). Results: During the maximum opening, the average value appeared at 31.56 mm vertically and 24.42 mm rearwardly, lateral deflection position 0.72 mm, and maximum opening distance 40.32 mm. There was no statistical significance in all measured values for three cycles of movement recorded with JT-3D system (P > 0.05). Conclusion: During the maximum opening, the average value appeared at 0.72 mm in lateral deflection position and the maximum opening distance at 40.32 mm, and the analysis on the maximum opening of lower jaw using JT-3D system showed sufficiently reproducible results.

Correlation of Effective Dose and BMI in Radioiodine($^{131}I$) Therapy (방사성옥소($^{131}I$) 치료 시 유효선량과 체질량지수의 상관관계)

  • Purpose : The aim of this study was to predict radiation dose at 1 meter with BMI(body mass index) in thyroid cancer patients treated with radio-iodine and provide the efficient guideline in the management of patients. Methods : 140 patients from thyroidectomy for thyroid cancer were enrolled. All subjects under went 150 mCi radio-iodine therapy and performed whole body scan 1 week later. BMI(weight divided by square of height) was calculated to evaluate the amount of fatty tissue indirectly. The radiation dose at 1 meter was measured initially and on 2nd days. the relation of values with BMI were analyzed statically. As for the method of statistical analysis, using Med calc Version 9,2,2,0 Program. Results : (1) The initial effective dose was inversely correlated with the BMI. Significance level was 0.0004. (2) We obtained the following formula from the data of initial effective dose and BMI: Y = -30.91X + 350.4(${\mu}Sv/h$)(Y: initial radiation dose, x: Group). (3) After 21.55 hours, than radiation dose was less than those recommended by ICRP or NRC in 53% of the population. Conclusion : Using BMI, the initial radiation dose and 2nd days dose can be predicted in thyroid cancer patients before radio-iodine therapy. It may be used for predicting the time of discharge and control the isolation room. We were able to predict the radiation exposure after discharge using this calculated value.

Inter-Rater Reliability of Carotid Intima-Media Thickness Measurements in a Multicenter Cohort Study (다기관 코호트 연구에서 경동맥 내막-중막 두께 측정의 측정자간 신뢰도 평가)

  • Objectives: Carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and the presence of carotid artery plaque are widely used as preclinical markers of atherosclerosis. Due to operator dependency in measuring CIMT, it is important to evaluate the reliability of measuring CIMT and plaque between centers in a multicenter study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the inter-rater reliability of CIMT and plaque presence among three clinical centers of the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Etiology Research Center (CMERC). Methods: Twenty people without known cardiovascular disease (age 37-64) were enrolled during 2014-2015, and their left and right carotid arteries were examined repeatedly with ultrasonography for CIMT measurements at three clinical centers according to a predetermined protocol. Maximum and mean values of CIMT at distal common carotid artery were recorded. Plaque presence at a carotid artery was checked by an operator. The reliability of CIMT and carotid plaque presence was assessed using an intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and kappa statistics, respectively. Results: Calculated ICC was 0.647 (95% CI: 0.487-0.779) for maximum CIMT, and 0.758 (95% CI: 0.632- 0.854) for mean CIMT. In Bland Altman plot, most observed values were distributed within mean difference ${\pm}1.96$ SD ranges. Kappa statistics of plaque presence between two centers were 0.304 (center 1 and 2), 0.507 (center 1 and 3), and 0.606 (center 2 and 3), respectively, while Fleiss kappa for overall agreement was 0.445. Conclusions: The inter-rater reliability of CIMT measurements among three clinical centers turned out to be high, and the agreement of measuring carotid plaque presence was fair.
