Clothing color for animation characters is very important in expressing a given characters image and characteristics. Consequently, in this paper, we propose a tool that allows an easy and simple selection of clothing color combinations in conjunction with previous color combination image research (color image chart). This tool has two functions, The first allows the user to search what color best fits a given image, and the second calculates which image is closest to the color that user has chosen. This tool was developed so it can be used over the web, and was used to verify whether the color combination for Disney and Dream Works animated characters' clothing has been selected appropriately according to the character's image, as determined through a survey.

This study researches functional arrangements for colors of work clothes - concentrating on the arrangements of lightness - for safety protection of workers at the job sites in the mechanical industry. To conduct such study, blue color (5PB) is selected for the CAD simulations on six arrangements of brightness based on two colors. The brightness ranges are of 5PB color (between 3~7.5) which are measurable by Munsell Conversion, and arrangements on lightness consisting of one arrangement of high lightness-gap, two of medium lightness-gap, and three of low lightness-gap. To analyze the data of color values after applying arrangements of lightness and to evaluate the levels of awareness regarding arrangements, the NCS colorimetric is being applied. Color palettes are based on the NCS notations, and then marked with color triangles. After evaluation, the visibility proves to be high when the arrangements contain high lightness at the top and bottom, and the arrangements with higher lightness-gap show higher effects in safety. Since this study tends to check factors of lightness, the other color factors were limited. Therefore, in order to apply these results at the job sites, integrated applications of such results will be very useful for developing safe working clothes in the future.

This study is for the use of color recommendation system for the color combination of mobile application. For this study, color combination methods of a material design color system that recommends harmonized colors automatically and of a mobile web application were applied to a mobile application design and a color combination experiment was carried out. Then for a survey on the experiment using the two methods, color combinations, selected colors and satisfaction with outputs were investigated on a 7-point Likert scale. And color combination characteristics of outputs were compared. It was found that the material design color palette made it easy to select colors by systematizing the regular coloring stages of fixed colors automatically, but there were differences in color compositions and color scopes of dominant color, assort color and accent colors, which are three-color combinations of mobile web application and accent color selection function was required for each design, since only primary colors and secondary colors could be selected. Moreover, chromatic colors were used a lot in the material system because of the fixed color scopes and color combination scopes and images of color combination outcomes varied depending on the color combination scopes, even when tones with a big contrast or complementary colors were selected. The role of color composition was important according to the color combination scopes.

This paper proposes an image retrieval system which integrates metadata, contents, and emotions in textile images. First, the proposed system searches images using metadata. Among searched images, the system retrieves similar images based on color histogram, color sketch, and emotion histogram. To extract emotion features, this paper uses emotion colors which was proposed on 160 emotion words by H. Nagumo. To enhance the user's convenience, the proposed textile image retrieval system provides additional functions as like enlarging an image, viewing color histogram, viewing color sketch, and viewing repeated patterns.

Fashion display is a part of fashion brand marketing strategy. Today, due to the improvement of consumers' aesthetics, consumers' requirements for display and decoration in fashion stores are also increasing. And color design plays an important psychological role in the display. In this study, the color design of the display is taken as the center, and the status quo, emotional characteristics, psychological and physiological functions of the color design of the display are taken care of. After analyzing specific examples through previous studies, the methods and rules of color design are explored on the basis of these studies, and the principles of color matching beauty are studied to prompt the color design that follows in the display. First, there should be some emphasis on the overall color allocation. Second, the structure of the store needs to be considered. Third, we need to emphasize scientific and reasonable color matching sequence. To sum up, judging this research is of positive significance to the later research on color design.

This research has been done to evaluate the interior environmental factors in Gyungro-dang to suggest the advanced recommendations for them. For this research, the essential interior elements influencing on elderly's behavior were examined with the developed checklist, the lighting and color conditions of main hall at 14 facilities in Seoul area were analysed, and 124 subjects staying at Gyungro-dang were participated in questionaire survey for color preferences. Results showed that 1.The average installation rate of 39 items in checklist was 59%, the mandatory items such as accessible dimension were considered, but several items related to mobility and safety were not properly installed. Therefore not only guiding handrail and floor block to destination but also elimination of obstacles should be reconsidered. 2.The average of illuminances was 289 Lux dose to standard 300 Lux, but lighting quality was too low to support the activities of elderly users. The lighting control devices, combined lighting sources, and suitable lighting techniques should be applied for those facilities. 3.Most facilities were predominantly in warm colors in hue, medium or high value, low saturation, and natural atmosphere with similarity harmony. The color applications in those facilities were not functional, but similar as color preferences for the elderly except overall atmosphere. It is recommendable to include contrast harmony with classic or romantic mood.
