Development of Fruit Structure in 'Fuji' Apples (사과 '후지' 과실의 조직 발달)

  • The fruit structure of 'Fuji' apples from full bloom to maturing was observed from 1997 to 1998. Cell division period of the fruit was found to be 4 to 5 weeks after full bloom. Vascular bundles in the inner part of the fruit skin which were not described in the books illustrating apple fruit structure was observed, as they were tentatively named as outer vascular bundles (OVB), and another vascular bundles were also observed newly in periphery of locules, as they were tentatively named as inner vascular bundles (IVB). In the observation of the inner epidermis (IE) in the inner part of the locules on 2 days prior to full bloom, the guard cells were observed and these were disappeared in the observation made 2 days later, i.e. on full bloom. The formation of fruit skin was observed at the microscope 65 days after full bloom and the number of cell which organized the fruit skin did not change from this time to maturation period. Tannin which is mainly in the fruit skin changing from continuously during fruit growth, specially the tannin of epidermis disappeared completely 100 days after full bloom stage, and then constituted again. Starch was not almost found out in cell division period of fruit from full bloom stage after this time it constituted much at flesh part and decreased at maturation period. Epidermis was developed by uniform cells of a layer the cell of epidermis constituted irregularity after pigmentation stage, the organization of fruit was not close because the very big intercellular space constituted at hypodermis and flesh structure.

Specially from China it makes the right shoe which is a Chinese martial arts with condition item and sports anger the features of the martial arts origination to do and there is a possibility of seeing the features which in the succession nose sleeping martial arts perforation defends it concentrates. The martial arts perforation character is letting in religion and philosophy thought of the Orient. Confucianism and Buddhism, it puts in the teaching of friendship thoughts and heaven and earth positive and negative principles, five lines and eight divination signs. Features of like this perforation our ancestors the positive and negative principles where the philosophy of the Orient is put in, there is a possibility of searching from life and the Taekwondo which it does with at five events together. With history of the ancestor it breathes together and all Taekwondo operation every one by one it puts in the thought of our ancestors as well. The some branch it tried to listen to the representative example which the feather holds hereupon in basic operation, the Taoist garment, the belt and width tax of Taekwondo. The flesh which is healthy in the spirit which is healthy holds the feather. Taekwondo Oh! as the true feelings one martial art which accomplishes the artificial flower of the dynamic thing and the static thing at end with the perforation essentially it is deep it will be able to confirm repeatedly fire tube characteristic.

단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 직경 분포에 미치는 합성 템플레이트 및 공정변수의 영향

  • 단일벽 탄소나노튜브(Single-walled nanotubes, SWNTs)는 나노스케일의 크기와 우수한 물성으로 인하여, 전자, 에너지, 바이오 분야로의 응용이 기대되고 있다. 특히 SWNTs의 직경을 제어하게 되면 튜브의 전도성 제어가 훨씬 수월하게 되어, 차세대 나노전자소자의 실현을 앞당길 수 있으며 이러한 이유로 많은 연구들이 현재 행해지고 있다. SWNTs의 직경제어 합성을 위해서는 현재 열화학기상증착법(Thermal chemical vapor deposition; TCVD)이 가장 일반적으로 이용되고 있으며, 합성 촉매와 합성되는 튜브의 직경과의 크기 연관성이 알려진 후로는, 촉매의 크기를 제어하여 SWNTs의 직경을 제어하고자 하는 연구들이 활발하게 보고되고 있다. 특히, 촉매 나노입자의 직경이 1~2 nm 이하로 감소될 경우, SWNTs의 직경 분포가 어떻게 변화할 것인지가 최근 가장 중요한 관심사로 남아 있으나, 이러한 크기의 금속입자는 나노입자의 융점저하 현상이 발현되는 영역이므로, SWNTs의 합성온도 영역에서 촉매 금속입자는 반액체(Semi-liquid) 상태로 존재할 것으로 추측하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고온의 SWNTs 합성환경에서 금속나노촉매의 유동성을 제한하기 위하여 나노사이즈의 기공이 규칙적으로 정렬된 다공성 물질인 제올라이트를 촉매담지체로 이용하였고, 이 때 다양한 합성변수가 SWNTs의 직경에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. SWNTs의 합성을 위해 실리콘 산화막 기판 위에 제올라이트를 도포한 후, 합성 촉매로서 전자빔증발법을 통하여 수 ${\AA}$에서 수 nm 두께의 철 박막을 증착하였다. 합성은 메탄을 원료가스로 하여 TCVD법으로 실시하였다. 주요변수로는 제올라이트 종류, 증착하는 철 박막의 두께, 합성온도를 설정하였으며, 이에 따라 합성된 SWNTs의 합성수율 및 직경분포의 변화를 체계적으로 살펴보았다. SWNTs의 전체적인 합성수율의 변화는 SEM 관찰결과를 이용하였으며, SWNTs의 직경은 AFM 관찰 및 Raman 스펙트럼의 분석에서 도출하였다. 실험결과, 제올라이트 종류에 따라서는 명확한 튜브직경 분포의 변화 없이 비교적 좁은 직경분포를 갖는 SWNTs가 합성되었으며, 합성온도가 $850^{\circ}C$ 이하로 감소되면 합성수율이 현저히 감소되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 촉매박막의 두께가 1 nm 이상인 경우에서는 직경 5 nm 전후의 나노입자가 형성되었으며, 이때 SWNTs의 합성수율은 높았으나 다양한 직경의 튜브가 합성이 된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 반면, 촉매입자의 크기가 2 nm 이하에서는 합성수율은 다소 저하되었으나, SWNTs의 직경분포의 폭이 상대적으로 훨씬 좁아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 추후, 극미세 촉매와 저온합성 환경에서의 합성수율 향상을 위한 합성공정의 개량이 지속적으로 요구된다.

Meta-analysis of the Effects of Cognitive Improvement Programs of the Korean Elderly: Comparison of Cognitive Impairment Group and Normal Group (한국노인의 인지기능 향상 프로그램 효과성 메타분석: 인지기능장애집단과 일반집단 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the results of previous studies on the cognitive function improvement program of the elderly into the cognitive impairment group and the normal group to compare the effect sizes of the groups using meta - analysis. Among the previous studies on cognitive function improvement programs reported in Korea for the last five years, 86 were selected and the effect sizes were summarized using meta-analysis. As a result of the study, the overall average effect size showed a large effect size in both groups. The effect sizes of the intervention types were high for the cognitive impairment group, and the exercise and cognitive-based interventions were similar for the normal group. The gender effect size was higher for the women with cognitive impairment group, and higher for the combined case with normal group. The effect sizes according to group size were higher for 20 persons in cognitive impairment group and higher for 21~40 persons in normal group. The total number of sessions in both groups was higher than 32 times, The number of sessions per week was 3 times for the cognitive impairment group, 4 to 6 times for the normal group. The duration of activity was 55~60 minutes in cognitive impairment group and 70~180 minutes in normal group as the number of sessions and activity time increased the effect size was higher in normal group. This study will be meaningful in that it provided basic data necessary for future program development by comparing and analyzing the effect sizes of the cognitive function improvement program type and the activity factors between the cognitive impairment group and the normal group.

The Effect of Weld Line on the Mechanical Strengths and its Elimination Process in the Zr-4 Resistance Upset Welds (지르칼로이-4의 저항업셋용접에서 용접선이 기계적성질에 미치는 영향과 그 소멸과정)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of weld line on the mechanical strengths and the process of weld line elimination in the Zircaloy-4 resistance upset welding for the fabrication of heavy water reactor fuel rods. The weld current and the amount of upset increased linearly with the main heat, in which two relations between them were derived. It was found that the threshold to obtain sound weld was 50% of main heat in terms of weld upset size, mechanical strengths and weld line elimination. The weld microstructure of resistance upset welds of Zircaloy-4 comprsied basketweave, Widmanstatten and martensite respectively by changing the main heats. Dimples on uniaxially fractured surface at weld line in the Zr-4 welds were larger and deeper compared with those on biaxially fractured surface. It was also found that the process of the weld line elimination in the resistance upset weld of Zircaloy-4 could be divided into three stages in terms of the presence of many pores, their shrinkage and elimination, and the shrinkage of the original weld interface with increasing weld currents.

The Meta-analysis of the Effects of Meditation Programs of the Elderly (노인대상 명상프로그램 효과성 메타분석)

  • The purpose of this research was to present the basic data for developing meditation programs by verifying the effect size using meta-analysis of the results from previous studies on meditation program of the elderly. In order to analyze the effect sizes of program types, group of mediating variables and activity factors of elderly meditation programs, this study reviewed 24 precedent research that have been conducted from 2003 through April 2017 in Korea using meta-analysis and summarized the effect sizes are as follows. First, the overall average effect size was .914, which was great. Among the program types, complex meditation was 1.726, which was the greatest. Among the group of mediating variables, the positive psychological variable group had the highest in 1.368 and the gender consists only of women had the highest in .921. Secondly, concerning the activity factors, when the total number of sessions was 12~20 times(1.193), sessions per week was twice(1.254), time went for 110~120 minutes per session(1.581) and the group size was 71~100 persons(1.535) that were shown as higher effect size. Among the types of publications, articles in journals(1.062) had a higher effect size than dissertations(.817). For the organizing elderly meditation program in the future, I suggest that the program type of complex meditation, 12~20 time of total sessions, twice a week, 110~120 minutes of activity hours. At the time we entered the aged society, this study is meaningful in that it provides the basic data for future program development by confirming the effect size according to program types, mediation variables and activity factors for the meditation program performed for the elderly.

  • One of the fastest growing segments of implant dentistry is the utilization of computed tomography (CT) scan data and treatment planning software in conjunction with guided surgery for implant reconstruction cases. Computer assisted planning systems and associated surgical templates have established a predictable, esthetic, functional technique for placing and restoring implants. Especially, a philosophy of restoratively driven implant placement has been generally adopted. Recently, a variety of commercial dental fields have released their scanning and fabricating protocols and methods for restorations. This process is still being investigated and developed for the most precise and predictable outcome. This case report describes a female patient who wanted dental implants in fully edentulous areas. Restoratively driven implant placements were performed with surgical guide and the patient was fully satisfied with the clinical results, and at 5-year post restorative follow-up assessment, both implant and prosthesis were proved clinical success.

The Meta-analysis on Variables related to Ego Integrity of Elderly in Korea (한국노인의 자아통합감 관련변인에 대한 메타분석)

  • Meta-analysis was conducted on 56 studies published in Korea until April 2017 to systematically integrate factors of ego integrity of the elderly. The variables related to ego integrity were divided into 6 groups of variable, and the effect sizes were computed for each variable of their groups. The analysis results are as follows. First, the total effect size showed the middle effect size, and the effect size according to the variable group showed the largest effect size for the positive psychological variable group, followed by the negative psychological variable, the physical variable, the familial variable, the social variable and the demographic variable. Second, the largest effect size of the sub-variables on the each individual variable group showed positive psychological variable was life quality, negative psychological variable was depression, physical variable was health behavior, familial variable was children relationship, social variable was social support and demographic variable was economic status. As described above, suggesting that these variables may have a strong influence on ego integrity among the variables related to ego integrity because the quality of life, life satisfaction and depression were shown as the largest effective variables related to ego integrity.

Basic Characteristics of ALC using Carbon dioxide Conversion Capture Materials (이산화탄소전환탄산화물 혼합 경량기포 콘크리트의 기초 특성)

  • In this study, the applicability of replacing DG(Desulfurized Gypsum) from oil refinery with CCCMs(Carbon dioxide Conversion Capture Materials) as an ALC(Auto-claved LIghtweight Concrete) raw material was examined, and basic properties of ALC was measured. The main chemical components of DG and CCCMs were CaO and SO3, and an increase in LOI(Loss of ignition) due to mineral carbonation reaction was verified. The crystalline phases of CCCMs were CaCO3, CaSO4, Ca(OH)2, and CaSO4·2H2O. When DG, a raw material for ALC production, was replaced with CCCMs, foaming height, pore shape, absolute dry gravity, and compressive strength results measured similar for all binders. In addition, the formation of tobermorite which is main crystalline phase of ALC was shown for all specimens in microstructural analysis.

The study of awareness and practice of infection control on dental practitioners during the prosthodontic treatment (치과 보철물 제작 과정에서 감염 관리에 관한 치과 종사자의 인지도 및 실천도에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the degree of awareness and actual practice of dental practitioners regarding infection control during prosthodontic treatment. Materials and methods: Study participants were composed of dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians working at dental university hospital, general hospital, dental hospital and dental clinics in Daejeon, Korea (n=126). The questionnaires included the data on general characteristics, education, awareness and practice of infection control procedures during prosthodontic treatment through personal self-administration survey. Awareness and practice were measured by Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. Statistical analysis was done by one-way ANOVA. Influence of awareness on practice was estimated by regression analysis. Results: 27.7% of the respondents answered that the infection control education regarding prosthodontic treatment is insufficient. The mean value of awareness and practice of infection control during the prosthodontic treatment were $2.72{\pm}0.80$, $1.58{\pm}0.88$, respectively. The mean value of practice who answered that had education curriculum at college was $1.62{\pm}0.9$, and $1.31{\pm}0.49$ who did not. The mean value of awareness who equipped guideline was $3.01{\pm}0.9$, and $2.56{\pm}0.70$ who did not. Conclusion: 1. The respondents who received the infection control education by college curriculum showed higher degree of practice than the respondents who did not. 2. The respondents who have appropriate infection control guidebook in their workplace showed higher degree of awareness than the respondents who did not. 3. There was a correlation between the awareness and practice of infection control during prosthodontic treatment; the degree of awareness becomes higher, so does the degree of practice. 4. During the prosthodontic treatment, the degree of practice was lower than the degree of awareness on infection control.
