The purpose of this study was to investigate the preferred SSI topics of students and teachers in elementary, middle, and high schools. It analyzed the similarity of students' and teachers' preferred SSI topics by school level using the cosine similarity measure. A total of 566 students and 327 teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools participated in the study. Sixty topics were identified and listed in the areas of environment, science and technology, health and medicine, and other social issues based on the literature and SSI programs. Students and teachers were asked to select five of their favorite topics. The data was collected online using SurveyMonkey. The collected data was divided into six groups of students and teachers, and the frequency of topic selection was analyzed within each group. The topic preference similarity was analyzed by calculating vector values based on the frequency of the selected topics and measuring the cosine similarity between students, teachers, and teachers and students by school level. The results are as follows: First, the cosine similarity of SSI Preferred Topics between students' school-level cohorts was higher between middle and high school students (0.982) than between elementary and middle school students (0.651) or between elementary and high school students (0.662). Second, the cosine similarity of SSI Preferred Topics between teachers' school-level cohorts was similar for all comparison groups between elementary, middle, and high school. Third, the SSI topic preference similarity between students and teachers by school level had a higher cosine similarity between the elementary student and teacher cohorts (0.974) than the other school level comparisons, middle school (0.621) or high school (0.645). Access to topics of interest to students in SSI education is strongly associated with motivation and persistence in learning, as well as an enjoyable learning experience and positive attitudes toward learning. Therefore, when designing SSI lessons, it is important to examine topics from the perspective of student interest, especially if the teacher has selected SSI topics that are different from students' preferences. Careful instructional design will be needed to overcome the gap.
A natural monument is designated and protected as a natural or natural/cultural feature of outstanding or unique value because of its aesthetic qualities or cultural significance. However, in recent years, a natural monument plays a role in satisfying the cultural desire of people. For this reason, the main purpose of this study was to investigate public awareness of natural monuments and to evaluate the attitudes towards nature the visitors to Naejang national park displayed. This study also examined the differences in visitors' level of attitudes towards nature according to their awareness of natural monuments. Population of Macropodous Daphniphyllum (Natural Monument No. 91) and Forest of Japanese Torreyas at Baegyangsa Temple, Jangseong (Natural Monument No. 153) are present in large numbers in Naejang national park. For the research, 240 Naejang national park visitors were surveyed to collect data. Results of this study indicated that fewer than 50% of visitors displayed an appropriate awareness of natural monuments. There were also significant differences in attitudes towards nature according to visitors' awareness of natural monuments. In particular, visitors' awareness of the population of Macropodous Daphniphyllum was relatively lower when compared to that on Forest of Japanese Torreyas at Baegyangsa Temple. In addition, visitors who had a high level of awareness about natural monuments and thought that natural monuments had high cultural value displayed more positive attitudes than those who didn't have good levels of awareness. Based on these findings, this study suggests policy changes to establish development plans of the natural monuments in this area.

This research shows how autonomous character agents work in 3D sports game and its application to advertising. It is a kind of interdisciplinary study between game and advertising. In other words, advertising can be used a beneficiary model in game industry. For the purpose of analyzing the role of agents, 3D table-tennis game and advertising tools are developed. The role of agents is booming up and focusing on the game by their voices and texts. In game, several famous brands are showed up as a mean of advertising. This study analyzed the role of agents and advertising from the game user's position. For validity and reliability of the research, questionnaires were analyzed. As a results, several facts are found. Firstly, the agents worked positively as a game boomer. More than half of the respondents answered the agents are useful for the game. Secondly, the advertising tools showed up on the game are helpful to understand the brand. In other words, the game is contributed to build up the brand image. These kinds of attempts may be significant in that the agents are performed as a parter of functional and woman-oriented game. And advertising brands when placed in the game could play the role of the game item or quest. The proposed method can provide the basic references for developing 3D game as an interdisciplinary study.
Moral education is essential to the military in fostering elite warriors to have clear sense of their nation and the security, while arming themselves with military spirit that strives for victory. To reach this goal, various moral education has been set forth through boot camp training, academic education, unit training, etc. depending on various subject and supporting agencies in question. Also, in order to heighten the effect of the education, various attempts to combine concert-style cultural activities with the programs are carried out. However, the ultimate goal for this moral education is to facilitate soldiers to voluntarily set their minds and will in combat, and the current education system lacks that motivation as it concentrates mostly on educating knowledges about nationality and security. Under such circumstances, various units have attempted to raise morality in creating many public and media activities within the unit, which proven to be successful. In theory, the usual definitions in the field of education such as emotion, interest, attitude, and personality can be expanded upon with public and media activities. With this in mind, we have researched on how effective this method is by conducting various public and media activities in multiple units, total of 531 soldiers, starting from June to July of 2016. As a result, these activities brought positive effects on young soldiers to build pride in their assigned units, and also increased their willingness to carry out their assignments and missions. Through this research, we drew to the conclusion that unit-level public and media activities, which was solely used for gaining trust and communicate with the general civilians, can be used to boost the soldiers moral strength and help them express the strength in action.

The aim of this study was to describe Enneagram personality types, ego-resilience and to investigate the effects of ego-resilience on college adaptation in nursing and health care related students. The subjects were 623 students in 1st and 2nd grade. The data were collected from October 7 to 23, 2014 and analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, multiple regression with SPSS 19.0. A positive correlation was found ego-resilience and college adaptation with Enneagram personality types. Personality type 4 and 5 in Enneagram were the lowest level in ego-resilience and college adaptation. The strongest predictor of college adaptation was optimistic attitude in ego-resilience. Optimistic attitude, confidence, emotional control, and academic grades were explained 61.6% of the college adaptation based on multiple regression analysis. These findings indicate that it is necessary to increase ego-resilience according to Enneagram personality types for positive college adaptation.
The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of measuring advertising effectiveness through the ad evaluation text. The 384 university students were asked to evaluate the positive and negative evaluation ads of high and low involvement products by self-report method and to write ad evaluation text online. The written ad evaluation text were analyzed by KLIWC and to examine the difference between the comment of positive and negative advertising. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, there were differences between positive and negative ads in 17 psychosocial variables. Second, there were differences between positive and negative ads in 9 linguistic variables. Third, there was a significant correlation between KLIWC variables(Positive & negative emotions, inhibition, conviction, physical condition & function and sleep/dreams) and advertising effect variables. This study suggests that the advertising evaluation comment reflects the consumer's psychological reaction to advertising and the possibility of measuring the advertising effectiveness using advertising evaluation text.

The purposes of this study are to design and apply an experienced-based reading program using picture books for the struggling readers to improve their reading ability; and to analyze and verify how this program influences their self-esteem. The final objects of this study are 53 struggling readers who are 1-4th graders in 8 elementary schools. For this, the specific goals are set up as follows: First, an experience-based reading program using ADDIE teaching design model and Kolb's experience learning cycle are planned and developed to improve reading abilities and self-esteem of the struggling readers. Second, it also aimed to clarify how the experience-based reading program using picture books influence the struggling readers' self-esteem in affective ones. As a result, this experience-based reading program using picture books is effective on improving the struggling readers' self-esteem, generally. Although the degree of improvement is different from each of the subordinate factors, the overall scores of self-esteem are raised. This study suggests that an experience-based reading program using picture books is appropriate for improving the affective characteristics of the struggling readers. And it is also needed to produce a research manual to get the same test condition that prescribes the methods of pre-test and post-test.

This study was carried out to develope yeast leavened pan bread using the commercial Doenjangs (Korean soybean pastes). Physicochemical properties of the Doenjang products were measured such as aminonitrogen, pH, titratable acidity and salinity, reducing sugar, total free sugar, total organic acid, PDI (protein dispersibility index) and color. Seven products of Doenjang were freeze-dried and powdered to be used in bread formula at the levels of 2.5, 5.0, 7.5 and 10.0%. When the Doenjang powder was added up to 5.0%, the ovenspring during baking remarkably increased resulting in increased loaf volume. However, with Doenjang powder more than 7.5%, the loaf volume became smaller than the control as the dough expansion and ovenspring decreased. Thus when Doenjang was added to bread dough, the loaf volume was highly correlated with ovenspring (r=0.92) but it was not with dough expansion during 1st fermentation (r=0.56). The browning color of bread crust and crumb became deeper with decrease in L value as the addition of Doenjang powder increased. From the mechanical texture measurements of bread crumb, hardness, gumminess and chewiness decreased with addition of Doenjang powders. Regardless of the kinds of Doenjang, the Doenjang powders could be added into the bread dough up to 5.0%, improving the loaf volume and texture of yeast leavened pan bread and demonstrating the possibility of producing a functional bread using the Doenjang powders.
In order to raise people with mathematical power and positive attitude toward mathematics fit for the 21st century, individual students should be provided with equal learning opportunities according to their ability and level, and the need of such mathematics education is even stronger for underachievers. As textbooks were considered the optimal learning materials at each stage, this study purposed to examine changes in students' mathematical learning abilities and mathematical tendency brought by the activities of analyzing and reviewing the textbooks of the previous grades. The subjects of this study were 5 mathematics underachievers from 3 fifth grade classes at D Elementary School. They were sampled from those who were selected based on the results of diagnostic assessment and the records at the end of April and gave their consent to participation in this study. For the sampled children, their current state was surveyed first, and then the experimental classes were given twice a week and a total of 32 sessions. The children judged their mathematical abilities through reviewing the textbooks from the 1st grade to the 4th grade, and studied the textbook of each stage by themselves. After the self study, they had the textbook contents review activity that extracted 10 problems considered important per semester, and the textbook analysis activity that grouped units in each stage according to relevancy, identified similarities and differences, and examined hierarchy. From the results of this study was found that the mathematics underachiever teaching method using the textbooks of the previous grades gives mathematics underachievers confidence in their abilities, strengthens mathematical connection, and develops the habits of exploring key contents through self study.
The purpose of the present study is to observe in-depth what kind of changes the establishment of a female basketball team in a college of education and the experiences the female basketball players have within that situation bring to their lives and their paths in life and social implications. To achieve this purpose, the female basketball team at the Department of Physical Education in P University was selected as a research environment and its members as research participants and qualitative research was conducted. Research results showed first, that female basketball athletes were already on a set path before they entered college. They had not thought about their path in life independently and had a passive attitude towards their life paths and were experiencing a culture in which studies were not permitted. Second, female basketball athletes discovered a new path upon college entrance. While meeting various friends, they gained friends and not just colleagues and after becoming aware that the main character in their lives is 'themselves', they showed autonomy. Based on this, factors for their change, which are the implications of this study, were first, the environment of P University's college of education which has strict regulations and a strong emphasis on academics when compared to other universities, second, the identity of being the first enrollments into the female basketball team of P University's college of education and the distinct characteristics of being a female athlete, third, the group's leader who contributed to their positively directed change. Ultimately, these factors served an important role in leading their change in the large frame of a university environment.
