A Study on the Relationship between Multicultural Awareness and Multicultural Efficacy in Elementary School Students (초등학생의 다문화인식과 다문화효능감과의 관계 연구)

  • The purposes of the study are to understand how multicultural awareness and multicultural efficacy is different and to investigate the factors of multicural awareness affecting the multicultural efficacy. To achieve the goals, the study conducted surveys to examine an interrelation of multicural awareness and efficacy on 329 elementary school students in North Jeolla Province with questionnaires. First, the results showed significant differences in the multicultural awareness and efficacy based on all the ground factors. Second, it was found that elementary school students had significant relations in multicultural awareness and efficacy. Third, the multicultural awareness among elementary school students significantly affected their multicultural efficacy. The study suggests that sustaining multicultural education shall be implemented for elementary school students to have right and positive minds and various studies shall be conducted to nurture values in their lives to live together.

A Study on Factors Affecting Multicultural Efficacy of Early Childhood Teachers (유아교사들의 다문화효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • The purpose of this stud is to find out what factors that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers affect multicultural efficacy are. In order to achieve this research purpose, the survey was carried out by using questionnaires targeting 394 early childhood teachers working in Early Childhood Educational Institutions located in I city. The response results are as follows: First, multicultural awareness, multicultural attitude, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers did not show any difference by workplace. Second, it turned out that there is a significant correlation between multicultural awareness, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers. Third, it turned out that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers have a positive influence on multicultural efficacy. In view of the results of this study, multicultural efficacy can be improved when awareness and attitude of early childhood teachers on multicultural education are changed so it is thought that various studies that can continuously conduct multicultural education training programs etc. for early childhood teachers should be conducted.

A Study on the High School Library-Assisted Instruction Using Human Library: Case of S Girls' High School Library in Seoul (휴먼 라이브러리를 활용한 고등학교 도서관의 협력수업 사례에 관한 연구 - 서울 S여자고등학교 도서관을 중심으로 -)

  • This study sought to propose desirable education direction for library-assisted instruction that uses human library in school library. For this purpose, this paper conducted a case study on the classes that use human library run by the library of S Girls' High School in Seoul. The main study results are summarized below. First, S Girls' High School Library implemented five human library programs in 2019, including improvement of perception on multi-culture, menstruation rights for all, generation-connecting MEMORO project, pregnancy and delivery, and improvement of perception on the disabled. Second, the students replied that they could imagine and immerse while listening to Human Book's story and that it was good to be able to ask questions if they had any. They said that those who acted as Human Book gave realistic advice, which was meaningful giving them a lot to learn. Some students replied that their previously negative perception turned positive.

  • Listed companies ought to account all transactions and report and disclose their financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). To comply with IFRS almost all listed companies installed IFRS system within the companies (on-premise system). This study is trying to identify the effect to Quality Management with on-premise IFRS system. Nowadays, however, Cloud Computing is offered as a replacement of the on-premise system. This study is also trying to identify the effect to Quality Management with Cloud Computing environment instead of on-premise system. This is an empirical study through interviews with, questionnaires to, and statistical analysis of the responses from the professionals and experts who experienced installations of IFRS system.

One-Class Classification Model Based on Lexical Information and Syntactic Patterns (어휘 정보와 구문 패턴에 기반한 단일 클래스 분류 모델)

  • Relation extraction is an important information extraction technique that can be widely used in areas such as question-answering and knowledge population. Previous studies on relation extraction have been based on supervised machine learning models that need a large amount of training data manually annotated with relation categories. Recently, to reduce the manual annotation efforts for constructing training data, distant supervision methods have been proposed. However, these methods suffer from a drawback: it is difficult to use these methods for collecting negative training data that are necessary for resolving classification problems. To overcome this drawback, we propose a one-class classification model that can be trained without using negative data. The proposed model determines whether an input data item is included in an inner category by using a similarity measure based on lexical information and syntactic patterns in a vector space. In the experiments conducted in this study, the proposed model showed higher performance (an F1-score of 0.6509 and an accuracy of 0.6833) than a representative one-class classification model, one-class SVM(Support Vector Machine).

The Effects of Parent's Life Satisfaction and Depression on the Children' Suicidal Ideation (부모의 삶의 만족도 및 우울이 아동의 자살생각에 미치는 영향)

  • This study sought to clarify the relation of children's suicidal ideation and parental depression/life satisfaction, and the mediating effect of the self-esteem in child. With regard to suicidal ideation in children, most studies have used children's depression as predictor, not parental depression. Similarly, parental life satisfaction have not been included in spite of its general influence on child development. Relations among these variables were examined in 512 children and their parents in $7^{th}$ Korean welfare panel data using the structural equation model. Results showed that the maternal life satisfaction was the only significant factor affecting the suicidal ideation of children, no having the mediating effects of the self-esteem in child. The implication of these results and suggestions for intervention and prevention work, and future research are discussed.

Consumers' Perception on the Allocation Policy of 700MHz Band for Efficient Broadcasting Environment (700MHz대역 주파수 분배정책에 대한 소비자인식)

  • This study surveys and discusses that to what extent consumers are understanding the benefits and which purpose of use they support more regarding the 700 MHz frequency band allocation for mobile communication use as well as public terrestrial UHD TV broadcasting use. The results of this study can be summarized as follow. First, consumers perceive not only advantages but disadvantages for the decision that 700 MHz frequency band is divided and utilized for both mobile communication and UHD TV broadcasting use. Second, 43% of consumers (the largest portion of opinions) say that they support government's final decision of 700 MHz frequency band allocation, which can be interpreted that government's long term discussion and final decision of frequency allocation policy is favorably accepted by the majority of consumers. The importance of this study is to survey consumers' perception of government's 700 MHz band frequency allocation policy from impartial point of view from either communication or broadcasting interest.

A Study on Learner's Recognition of Computational Thinking Education Model Using EXCEL VBA (EXCEL VBA를 이용한 컴퓨팅 사고력 교육 모델에 대한 학습자의 인식 연구)

  • The goal of this study is to test the hypothesis that the practicality of EXCEL VBA will be beneficial for SW education for SW non-majors. To this end, we planned the education for non-majors using the EXCEL VBA and conducted 15 weeks of education. According to a follow-up survey conducted after the 15-week education period, 72.21% of the survey respondents said EXCEL was practical. Also, learners who were aware of the necessity of SW education and the importance of SW competence recognized that the computational thinking education using EXCEL VBA had a positive effect on the improvement of computer-related knowledge and experience. Also, learners recognized that learning with EXCEL was easy, while learning with VBA was difficult. The learning process using VBA needs to be composed of project-oriented educational contents that can give a sense of achievement to learners rather than programming-oriented education. And continuous research on project-based learning is needed.

Developement and Application of Interactive type WBI on the Unit of 'Moon Motion' in Middle School Science (중학교 과학 '달의 운동' 단원의 상호작용형 WBI 개발 및 적용)

  • This study has developed an interactive WBI to enhance learning effects on 'the Moon motion' for middle-school students. The quality of this examined by applying it to 20 science teachers and 49 middle school students 49. As a result, over 85% of the test subjects gave an affirmative response in the interest induction, the curiosity solving, and the degree of learning participation category, the degree of difficulty item. Response of the students with negative perception on science have changed positively(p<.05) after this WBI learning. In addition, we compared the learners' of knowledge prior and subsequent to 'the Moon motion'. As a result, it was found that the case of 'no concept' was enhanced more than the case having 'partly or ambiguously concept' for 'the Moon motion'.

Correlation between Customer Orientation and Job Stress due to Degree of Emotional Labor on Security Agents (시큐리티 요원의 감정노동 수준에 따른 직무스트레스와 고객지향성의 관계)

  • This study aims to verify the relationship between customer orientation and job stress due to the degree of emotional labor on security agents. Objects of study are from 10 security companies, randomly selected from those registered on the Regional Police Agencies in Daejeon and Chungnam, from November 10th to 20th, 2013; thirty agents from each company, or three-hundred in total, were selected as research subjects by random sampling method. Twenty-five subjects were excluded for poor response contents and/or low reliability. Thus, only 275 subjects were included in actual analysis. The research tool was the questionnaire which was re-composed on the basis of domestic/overseas preliminary studies, while the data was processed through the frequency analysis, the reliability analysis, the confirmatory factor analysis and structure model analysis, using SPSS version 19.0 and AMOS 17.0 statistics package. Through the data analysis following the research methods above, the conclusion was acquired as follows. First, as job stress of security agents decreased, customer orientation increased. Second, the group of security agents with lower level of emotional labor positively affected job stress and customer orientation.
