  • A flywheel-driven rapid compression and expansion machine is developed and utilized for experimental study of homogeneous charge compression ignition combustion. Compression ignition of homogeneous charge in IC engines offers possibilities of realizing ultra-lean engine operation with greatly reduced NOx and particulate formation. Fundamental investigations are carried out in order to better understand this ideal engine combustion mechanism. Perfectly premixed propane-air mixtures of various equivalence ratio are compression-ignited in the rapid compression and expansion machine, and the characteristics of the auto-ignition and the following combustion process are analyzed.

  • 현재 크라이오펌프의 주요 관심기술은 생산성 향상을 위한 급속 재생기술의 확보와 극저온 냉동기의 효율 향상 기술 및 저진동 기술의 확보이다. 크라이오펌프는 크게 냉동기 모듈과 펌프모듈로 구성되고, 냉동기 모듈은 주로 G-M 극저온 냉동기, Stirling 극저온 냉동기 또는 맥동관 극저온 냉동기 등을 사용하는데, 이것은 주로 압축기, 왕복기, 재생기, 구동장치 등으로 펌프모듈은 cryoarray와 펌프 body로 구성된다. 최근에 구조가 간단하고 장수명 및 저진동의 장점을 가진 맥동관 극저온 냉동기의 효율이 급속히 증가함에 따라 초전도, 액화 등의 분야에서 기존의 G-M 극저온 냉동기를 대체하는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 지식경제부 제조기반산업원 천기술사업 "급속재생형 저진동 크라이오펌프 개발" 사업을 통해 급속 재생, 저진동, 고신뢰성 확보를 위해 기존의 G-M 극저온 냉동기를 맥동관 극저온 냉동기로 대체 적용 개발 및 국산화를 도모하고자 한다. 또한 상용화에 따른 공정 개발을 소개하고자 한다.

  • Hydrogen linear power system is estimated as the next generation power system which can obtain a performance as same as fuel cell. In order to develop Hydrogen combustion power system with high thermal efficiency, it is very important to understand the basic characteristics of hydrogen combustion and establish combustion stabilization technique of its system. In this study, RICEM(Rapid Intake Compression Expansion Machine) for researching of hydrogen combustion linear power system was manufactured and evaluated, and the basic characteristics of linear RICEM were analyzed.

  • GDI(Gasoline Direct Injection( engine technology is well known as a new technology since it can improve fuel consumption and meet future emission regulations. But the GDI has many difficulties to be solved, such as complexity of injection control mode, unburned hydrocarbon, and restricted power. A 2-D shape combustion chamber was adopted to investigate mixture formation and combustion characteristics of GDI engine. Spray and combustion experiments were performed by changing the injection timing. injection pressure an din-cylinder flow in Rapid Compression and Expansion Machine(RCEM).Through the experiments, the detailed characteristics of fuel spray and combustion was analyzed by visualizing the in-cylinder phenomena according to the change of injection condition, and the optimal fuel injection timing and fuel injection pressure were obtained.

  • The introduction of mixture heterogeneity has been considered to be one of the ways to avoid knocking, as it reduces the pressure rise rate in HCCI Combustion. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of heterogeneity, in particular thermal stratification and fuel strength stratification, on HCCI Combustion fueled with DME and n-Butane. Thermal stratification is formed in the Combustion Chamber of a Rapid Compression Machine with three kinds of pre-mixture, each with different properties. The stratified charge mixture was adiabatically compressed, throughout which cylinder gas pressure and two-dimensional chemiluminescence images were measured and analyzed.

  • Effect of heterogeneity of combustion chamber has been thought as one of the way to avoid dramatically generating heat in HCCI Combustion. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of heterogeneity, especially thermal stratification and fuel strength stratification on HCCI Combustion fueled with DME and n-Butane. Thermal stratification is formed in Combustion Chamber of Rapid Compression Machine with 3 Kinds of pre-mixture has different properties.   • 희박예혼합기의 급속연소에 관한 연구를 위하여 2-실린더 가솔린 엔진을 부실 타입의 압축천연가스(CNG) 분사 엔진으로 개조하였다. 본 연구에서는 부실의 최적설계에 관심을 두고 두 종류의 부실을 적용하여 실험을 실시하였고, 부실의 체적과 홀 개수는 1.5cc와 6개로 각각 동일하게 하고, 홀 직경을 0.8mm 및 1.1mm로 달리하였다. CNG연료는 포트연료분사(Port fuel injection; PFI)와 부실분사(Sub-chamber injection; SCI)에 의해 엔진에 독립적으로 공급되고, 그 실험결과로 구한 연소압력, 평균유효압력(IMEP), 질량연소분율과 사이클변동계수(COV) 등을 서로 비교하였다. 본 연구의 대표적 실험연구결과로서 PFI 타입의 엔진연소특성은 희박예혼합기의 경우를 제외하고 모든 조건에 있어서 기존의 가솔린 엔진과 비슷하였고, SCI 타입의 엔진연소특성으로 평균유효압력은 부실 내에 불완전 예혼합기형성으로 PFI 타입보다 낮았으며, COV는 SCI 타입이 희박가연한계가 확대됨으로 인하여, 특히 높은 공기과잉률 범위에서 PFI 타입과 비교해 보다 좋은 결과를 나타내었다.

  • 선박은 사람이나 화물을 수상(水上) 운송수단의 목적으로 오랜 옛날부터 사용하여 왔으며, 금세기에 이르러서는 오랜 옛날부터 사용하여 왔으며, 금세기에 이르러서는 인류문화의 급속한 발전에 따라 주변생활이 가속화(Speed화), 합리화되어 문명의 혜택을 보다 많이 누리게 된 반면에, 국제간에 파생되는 여러가지 교환현상을 바탕으로 지구는 하나의 촌(村)으로 되어 유통경제를 지배하고 이용하는 운송수단으로 발전되어 왔다. 물질문명이 급속히 발전하는 작금, 선용추진 주 기관의 동향을 살펴보면, 1981년 세계에서 건조한 2000톤급 이상의 선박은 940여척으로 이중 13척이 증기 Turbine. 추진(推進), 나머지는 미끄럼 저속 디이젤 또는 중고속 디이젤 추진으로 되어있다. 이와 병행하여 선박에 쓰여지고 있는 각종 윤활제는 주기관으로서 디이젤 engine, Trubine engine, 가솔린 engine, 석유, engine, 선외기, 왕복동 증기기관, Journal계열로서 역전기, 추력베어링, 중간 베어링, 프로펠러베어링, 일반상선으 보조기계로서 발전기, 공기압축기, Boiler, 각종 Pump, 각종 Motor, 냉동기, 조타장치, Side Thrust, 갑판기계, 환기용 송풍기 및 통풍통, Oil 청정기, 수밀로(水蜜爐), 소화설비, 주기 개방용 천정 크레인, elevator, 어선으로서의 주 기관, 보조기기 등에 쓰여지고 있으며 이밖에 수중날개선 등에도 적용되는 등 실로 다양다종한 윤활제가 요구되고 있음에, 본 논고에서는 제목 건을 중심으로 한 선박과 윤활의 중요 Point만을 간추려 기술하고져 한다.

  • Fuel stratification and thermal stratification occur in the HCCI combustion chamber on a microscopic scale. They affect the ignition and combustion processes. In this study, the effect of the inhomogeneity in the mixture gas on the HCCI combustion process was investigated. Two-dimensional chemiluminescence images were captured using a framing camera to evaluate the flame structure. DME was used as the test fuel. First, the effect of inhomogeneity in the fuel distribution in the premixture was investigated for the four-stroke optically accessible engine. Then, by comparing the combustion of the homogeneous mixture in the rapid compression machine, which does not contain any residual gas, with the combustion in the four-stroke engine, the effect of inhomogeneity in temperature due to the residual gas was analyzed. The results showed that a time lag appears spatially in combustion under inhomogeneous conditions in the four-stroke engine. The spatial variation in the combustion without the residual gas in the rapid compression machine is less than that in the combustion in the four-stroke engine.

Side-Channel Archive Framework Using Deep Learning-Based Leakage Compression (딥러닝을 이용한 부채널 데이터 압축 프레임 워크)

  • With the rapid increase in data, saving storage space and improving the efficiency of data transmission have become critical issues, making the research on the efficiency of data compression technologies increasingly important. Lossless algorithms can precisely restore original data but have limited compression ratios, whereas lossy algorithms provide higher compression rates at the expense of some data loss. There has been active research in data compression using deep learning-based algorithms, especially the autoencoder model. This study proposes a new side-channel analysis data compressor utilizing autoencoders. This compressor achieves higher compression rates than Deflate while maintaining the characteristics of side-channel data. The encoder, using locally connected layers, effectively preserves the temporal characteristics of side-channel data, and the decoder maintains fast decompression times with a multi-layer perceptron. Through correlation power analysis, the proposed compressor has been proven to compress data without losing the characteristics of side-channel data.
