Recently, some universities and university libraries have implemented performance management system as a part of managerial innovation, and they have either implemented or are considering implementing BSC. Thus there are needs to develop performance indicator, which is a tool measuring performance of university libraries, based on BSC, and to assess the developed performance indicator's relative weights to analyze which indicators are essential to fulfill and improve the university library's mission. The performance indicators are also affected by the characteristics and perspectives of the people who develop them during the development process. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the differences among the professional groups in relative weighting of the performance indicator. The purposes of this study are to derive a university library performance indicator model based on BSC, to analyze the importance of each evaluation factor of the derived performance indicator model, and to analyze the differences among the professional groups in relative weighting of the performance indicator model.

The University libraries need to develop the balanced scorecard concerning general management in order to measure the total performance of the organization that measure not only quantity measurement based on resources and quality measurement based on information services but also effectiveness of resource utilization, efficiency ability providing the services and potential capability of the members adopting the diverse changes flexibility as organic organization under the rapidly changing circumstances nowadays. This study developed the BSC model into the four perspectives such as customer, resource, internal process, learning and growing modifying BSC model developed by Kaplan and Norton to fit university libraries as nonprofit organization and developed the strategic map and performance measurement indicators on the strategy of each perspective. Ultimately, this study tried to provide an integrated strategic management indicators providing comprehensive picture of university libraries from strategic plan to performance applying the BSC linking strategic plan.

The University of Northern iowa Rod Library has mission statement that a personalized learning environment founded on the strong liberal arts curriculum and to supporting an intellectually and culturally diverse community. The Rod Library has been developing the strategic plans by 5 years since 1987 Recently, the strategy has been faced need to measure of performance how much does make it up. This study developed the BSC model and the strategy map that analyze the strategic plan 2004-2009 of the University of Northern iowa Rod library and transfer the strategy into the four perspectives of BSC. In addition, this study presented the success performance indicators measuring the strategic goals of each perspectives and the cause-effect model driving the lead indicators of performance.

This paper firstly aims to classifying the applicability of the Balanced Scorecard approach to Korean ocean-going shipping firms' management system. The applicability of this approach is from Korean shipping firms using Balanced Scorecard will create more effective and efficient organizational performance with reflecting non-financial indexes and making a balance among missions in organization. Secondly, the paper suggests positive information and theoretical evidences to improve Korean shipping firms' management system examines an availability of the Balanced Scorecard as one method of management tools. So these factors are analysed by structural equation model. This study provides CEO in Korean ocean-going shipping firm the guideline and availability of the Balanced Scorecard as to what kinds of factors should be considered and what is the most critical factor to adopt the BSC into their business.

The primary purpose of this study is firstly, to ascertain the suitability of the IT BSC (balanced scorecard) methodology for the performance analysis of EGIS(environment geographic information system), secondly, to analyze the outcome of EGIS using the methodology, and finally to present guidelines for effectively managing the performance of EGIS. This study has rebuilt the IT BSC methodology based on the previous study on the performance analysis of GIS and EGIS whose performance over the past five years has been evaluated. According to the analysis, the integrated performance is estimated at 105.3 points. This figure indicates that the cumulative performance of EGIS is more than the baseline of goal, 100.0 points. The feature of this study is to develop a new methodology suitable for the EGIS performance analysis and to evaluate and quantify the total performance of EGIS objectively through the application of the new methodology.

In order to achieve efficient and effective organizational information security objectives, for the level of information security to accurately evaluation and direction for improving that performance evaluation index and method of measurement for information security outcomes are needed. For information security activities of domestic companies to measure the performance or effectiveness, that standard method of measuring and the available evaluation Index are insufficient. company is difficult to investment for information security budget. Therefore, the purpose of this study was developing of performance evaluation index and method of measurement for information security outcomes applying BSC available in the company. The results of this study that companies can determine the level of information security itself. Analysis of the information security status and the strategy establishment of the information security investment can be applied.

The purpose of this study is to present the detailed national strategy, from the financial point of view, for global logistics center in the Northeast Asia using the Balance Scorecard Model(BSC) as well as SWOT analysis. It is a core national challenge for Korea to emerge as a logistics hub of the Northeast Asian region, which is directly related to its very existence in the 21st century. In the process of formulating such a vital strategy, various aspects must be considered In conclusion, this study has successfully deduced the preemptive strategy for exceeding other competitors from the financial (budgetary) perspective and the logistics strategy from inner process standpoint of maximizing logistics outcome by carrying out efficient logistics policy.

Many enterprises introduce CRM as a new process accessible to customers. And BSC forces managers to focus on balanced measures of business performance that are most critical. The purpose of this study is to find out the determinants of CRM adoption through the analysis which examine the relationship among the key success factors, and business performance using the BSC perspective. This study also gives the suggestion for the effective CRM implementation in the korean companies. This study has been conducted using the data collected from 115 companies implementing CRM. By analyses of the questionnaires, empirical results shows that the implementation of CRM has positive effect on business performance with 4 perspectives of BSC. The contribution of this study is that it provides a conceptual framework and empirical evidence of the causal relationship between key success factors, and business performance with 4 perspectives of BSC concept. This study showed that more consideration are essential to obtain balanced business performance for companies with CRM adoption plan.

과학기술이 국가경쟁력에서 차지하는 비중이 높아지면서, 국가 차원에서 과학기술역량의 확충을 위한 다양한 정책적 노력이 경주되고 있으며, 그 일환으로 정부연구개발사업과 관련된 예산도 지속적으로 증가하여 왔다. 이와 함께 최근 들어 공공부분에 책무성(accountability)에 대한 논의와 함께 성과주의 제도의 적극적인 도입이 검토되고 있다. 특히 다양한 특성을 가진 많은 정부사업들이 적절하게 추진되고 있는지 그 성과를 측정하고 관리하는 것은 책무성의 이행이라는 측면에서 상당히 중요하다. 이에 따라 성과를 보다 명확히 측정할 수 있는 도구의 필요성과 함께 균형성과표(Balanced Scorecard: BSC)가 새롭게 조명을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 BSC의 기본모형을 확장하여 정부연구개발사업에 적용해 보고자 한다.
