Adaptive Feedback Interference Cancellation Algorithm Using Correlations for Adaptive Interference Cancellation System (적응 간섭 제거 시스템을 위한 상관도를 적용한 적응적 궤환 간섭 제거 알고리즘)

  • To reduce the outage probability and to increase the transmission capacity, the importance of repeaters in cellular systems is increasing. But a RF(Radio Frequency) repeater has a problem that the output of the transmit antenna is partially feedback to the receive antenna, which is feedback interference. In this paper, we proposed adaptive Sign-Sign LMS(Least Mean Square) algorithm using correlations for the performance enhancement of RF repeater. The weight vector is updated by using sign of input signal and error signal to the least squared error of the conventional algorithms. When compared with the conventional method, the proposed canceller achieves the maximum 10 dB performance gain in terms of the MSE(Mean Square Error).

A Design of PID Controller using Quantitative Feedback Theory and Turbine Speed Control (정량적 궤환이론을 이용한 PID 제어기 설계 및 터빈 속도제어)

  • QFT is a very practical design technique that emphasizes the use of feedback for achieving the desired system performances in despite of plant uncertainties and disturbances. The loop shaping procedure of QFT is employed to design the robust controller, until the desired bounds are satisfied. This paper presents an optimization algorithm for designing PID controller using the loop shaping of QFT. The proposed method identifies the parameter vector of PID controller from a linear system that develops from rearranging the two dimensional system matrices and output vectors obtained from the QFT bounds. The feasibilities of the suggested algorithm are illustrated with a turbine speed control problem.

  • In this paper, a digital controller of magnetic bearing system for a high vacuum turbomolecular pump (TMP) is designed and examined. For stabilizing and providing damping in magnetic bearing, the digital PID controller is applied for each 5 control axes, and the inter-axis cross feedback controller is also applied to suppress low frequency vibration caused by gyroscopic moment of the rotor at high speed of rotation. The fabricated rotor-shaft has its first flexible natural frequency lower than maximum speed, about 614Hz, so the two lead filters are applied to increase damping of flexible mode. Notch filters with rotating frequency were selected to reduce vibration of the pump housing caused by unbalance load. The implemented controllers are verified by examination of frequency response and rotating test up to 40,000 rpm, which is higher than critical speed of backward flexible mode.

  • For fast response of the dc output voltage in P\hi1'v1 converter, it is desirable that the relation of power balance of the i input and output terminals is introduced to the system modeling. In this case, controller desi밍1 is not easy since the m model is nonlinear. In this paper, a nonlinear control them${\gamma}$ using input-output feedback linearization is used to solve t the nonlinear problem of the system. By nonlinear control. the voltage transient response can be faster, and it is also p possible to control the output voltage to be constant with smaller output filter capacitance for load disturbance.

  • 본 논문에서는 이산시간 LQ 조절기의 안정도 강인성을 주파수 영역및 시간영역에서 고찰하고 그 향상책을 제시하낟. 주파수영역에서 강인성 척도인 궤환차행렬(return difference matrix) 의 최소특이치가 상태가중치 행렬과 제어가중치 행렬의 비와 반비례함을 보이고, 시간영역에서 매개변수의 변화에 대한 안정도 강인성 범위들을 얻는다. 이 범위들의 점근적 성질을 밝히기 위하여 LQ 궤환이득의 특이치들이 상태가중치 행렬과 제어기중치 행렬의 비의 증가함수 임을 보인다. 몇가지 조건하에서 시스템 행렬(입력행렬)에 대한 안정도 강인성 범위가 상태 가중치 행렬과 제어가중치 행렬의 비가 증가(감소)함에 따라서 증가함을 보이고, 이러한 사실들을 예제를 통하여 검증한다.

  • In this paper, a novel multivariable state feedback control with feedforward control is proposed to improve control performance of power conversion systems. The targets of the application are three-phase voltage-source PWM converter and inverter system, and current-source PWM converter and inverter system, of which equivalent circuits and models are derived and analyzed. Various simulation results are presented to verify the validity of the proposed scheme.

  • In this paper, we propose an equalization digital on-channel repeater (EDOCR) with a feedback interference canceller (FIC) for single frequency network of the ATSC terrestrial DTV system. The proposed EDOCR with FIC does not have only high output power by cancelling feedback signals caused by insufficient antenna isolation through the FIC, but also shows better quality of output signals than the conventional on-channel repeaters (OCRs) by removing multipath signals existing between the main transmitter and the OCR, and residual feedback signals through an equalizer. In addition, computer simulations are provided to figure out the superior performance of the proposed EDOCR with FIC.

  • The steam generator feedwater and level control system is designed by two steps of the feedwater control design and the feedback loop controller design. The feedwater sen system is designed by the optimal LQR/LQG approach and then is modified by the LTR method to recover the robustness. The plant characteristics are subject to change with the power variation and these dynamic properties are considered in the design of the feedback controller. All the designs are made in the continuous domain and are digitalized by applying the proper sampling period. The system is simulated for the two cases of power increase and decrease. From the results of simulation, it is found that the controller constants would rather be invariable during the power increase, while for the case of power decrease they should be changed with the power variation to keep the system stability.
