The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of gait speed and walkway slope on the body acceleration, for the future validation of using an accelerometer in the estimation of energy consumption. Ten young healthy subjects with accelerometers on the upper thigh and ankle walked on a treadmill at 9 conditions(three speeds ${\times}$ three slopes) for 5 minutes. Acceleration signals of four directions, i.e. anterior-posterior(AP), medio-lateral(ML), superior-inferior(SI) and vector sum(VS) directions, of each sensor were measured, and root means squared(RMS) values of them were used as analysis variables. As statistical analysis, repeated measure two-way ANOVA was performed for RMS accelerations at each attachment sites, with slope and velocity as independent factors. At both the upper thigh and ankle, RMS acceleration of all directions were affected by gait velocities(p<.001) showing greater accelerations for higher velocities. Contrary to expectations, no slope effect existed in RMS accelerations at hip. Moreover, RMS acceleraion at ankle decreased with slope in SI and VS directions(p<.01). These results suggests that RMS acceleration cannot reflect the change in physical activity due to the change in walkway slope.

Objectives : This study was aimed to grasp the stages of change in breast cancer screening of the nurses and general women who were over 20 and under 50 and specify the factors which affected the stages of change in breast cancer screening, based on Precaution Adoption Process Model. Methods : This study was conducted for 158 people who consisted of the nurses and general women who were over 20 and under 50. Results : As a result of examining the factors of cues to action and the belief in cancer screening according to the stages of change in the breast cancer screening of the nurses and general women, there was not a statistically significant difference and the perceived barriers showed a statistically significant difference in the stage of behavioral decision, the fifth stage. Conclusion : It is necessary to approach the individuals with the recommendation of cancer screening through the people around them and differentiated strategies considering the stages of change in cancer screening in order to induce the behavioral change in breast cancer screening, and develop and apply the strategies to enhance the severity perceived on the breast cancer.

The purpose of this study is to find out the significance and functions of the voice-over narration in the storytelling of the web-drama OH Ku-sil. As a result, the first person narration has enhanced the intimacy with a viewer via subjective statements and produced the two time zone effect that the image and the voice-over stood on different tenses. On the other hand, the third person narration has expanded its functions beyond those of the cinema and TV drama. First, the third person narration in OH Ku-sil has performed the essential role presenting significant information for the viewer's understanding story. Second, the objective/authoritative statements of the third person narration have changed to the subjective/suggestive statements. Third, the third person narrator has expanded his/her role from a narrator to a virtual character by means of the comic statements. It seems to be the existing narration's effective response to the web-drama's medium characteristics seeking efficient storytelling under the tight time restriction. Delivering speedily the story information and amusement, this evolutionary voice-over narration is changing its status from the staying off subject to the condition of the new medium called web-drama.

The purpose of this study is to explore factors that influence the use of intercity-bus services by means of applying a structural equation model. The data were collected by a questionnaire survey based on personal interviews with intercity-bus users in Chungcheongnam-do province. Analysis results show that environmental attributes of the bus service are more important than operational attributes. In the case of men, the cleanliness of bus stops and the ease of transportation card recharging are likely to be the most crucial factors. However, women are likely to consider the cleanliness of the bus as the most important factor affecting their satisfaction about the intercity-bus service. Moreover, as people's satisfaction about the bus service increases, their willingness to recommend the use of intercity-bus to others will increase. Therefore, to improve the use of intercity-bus and to increase the satisfaction about the service, clean buses must be provided. These results could contribute to developing a policy to activate the use of intercity-bus.

This study examines the actual operation status of the Korean children's library cultural program and analyzes the service type and operation status. Through this, it seeks the direction of cultural programs that can accommodate the needs of the users and establish the identity of the library. This study analyzes 856 kinds of cultural programs found on the homepage of 48 children's libraries in Korea. It was found that the lecture type programs for elementary school students were operated the most. In addition, most of the students participated one to three times during the lower grades of elementary school by their parents' recommendation. The satisfaction level of experiential cultural programs was the highest.

This study investigates factors affecting the number of insurance solicitor's turnovers of life insurance companies based on questionnaire about them. Since the response variable which is the number of insurance solicitor's turnovers is count data, it is analyzed by Poisson regression which is one of generalized regression. When work year in current company, which is direct influential factor on the number of insurance solicitor's turnovers, is controlled, affiliated corporation has been found to be the most influential factor. In addition, age, motivation to work as financial planner, monthly income, a number of average new contract per month, and final education have been identified to be important factors. If insurance solicitor's occupant organization is large company, the number of turnovers becomes small, but if the organization is general agent(GA), it becomes larger. When insurance solicitor's age is high, the number of insurance solicitor's turnovers are reduced. If the motivation to become a financial planner is due to acquaintance such as family and relatives, the number of turnovers becomes small.

Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) associated with gastritis and gastric cancer is mainly detected dental plaque and saliva in the oral cavity. Most infection is probably acquired in childhood, but the route of transmission is not clear. The oral cavity has been indicated as secondary reservoir of H. pylori, and may therefore be argued in the route of transmission and reinfection of the stomach which follows treatment of H. pylori infection. So this review aimed to discuss about H. pylori in the oral cavity. H. pylori in stomach can appear in the oral cavity by gastroesophageal reflex or vomiting, but infection of stomach and oral cavity is different. Diagnostic methods are serological method, urea breath test, PCR method, urease test, histologic method and so on. Nested PCR recommend for detection of H. pylori in saliva and dental plaque. H. pylori infection in the oral cavity appear variously and is no relation with dental diseases. The antimicrobial mouthrinse recommend in patients with periodontal diseases because of high detection rate fo H. pylori. Thus H. pylori may be considered as the normal oral microflora.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to report effectiveness of oriental medical treatments to symptoms and quality of life in the patients with herniated lumbar disc being suggested operation. Methods : Eighteen patients diagnosed with herniated lumbar disc by MRI in hospital were treated by oriental medical treatments. Symptoms of the patients were assessed by visual analogue scale(VAS) and SF-36. Results : After the treatments, the VAS of symptoms of herniated lumbar disc and the score of role-physical scale in SF-36 were improved but the other scores of scales were not significantly different. Conclusions : It could be suggested that oriental medical treatments were effective for the patients with herniated lumbar disc being suggested operation. Further study of the effect of oriental medical treatments on herniated lumbar disc is needed.

In this paper, the reduction amount of CO2 due to the virtual international video-conference organized by ITU in order to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) is calculated. The comparison is made with the case of off-line conference. In the symposium organized by ITU, "The power of ICTs to save The planet", held on September 2009 the participants were highly encouraged to attend the symposium through video-conferencing for the reduction of GHG. As a result, 46 foreign participants and 16 among 170 domestic participants have attended at virtual video-conference, which resulted in about 94.7 ton of CO2 emission reduction. This international symposium firstly tried in conjunction with online and off-line has drawn a big attention in the aspect of global warming. Definitely such ITU's trial will make significant impacts on the holding of other international symposiums and forums.

A Korean trawl fishery was conducted on the Emperor Seamounts in the northwestern Pacific Ocean from 2005 to 2007. Total catches were 750 mt, 460 mt and 440 mt in 2005, 2006 and 2007, respectively. Splendid alfonsino (Beryx splendens) and North Pacific armorhead (Pseudopentaceros wheeleri) were dominant in the commercial fisheries on the Emperor Seamounts during 2005-2007. Biomass of each species was estimated by the swept area method from March 2005 to August 2007. During three years, average biomass of Splendid alfonsino and North Pacific armorhead were 791 mt and 266 mt, respectively.
