Objectives The purpose of this study is to check the research trends of pharmacopuncture treatment in nerve entrapment syndrome, identify specific techniques, identify which pharmacopuncture are used, and provide directions for future research. Methods This study was conducted based on the five steps suggested by Arksey and O'Malley. We searched five domestic databases (Research Information Sharing Service, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, Korean studies Information Service System, Science ON, and KMBASE) and identified studies with key search terms like "nerve entrapment" And "pharmacopuncture" until June 23, 2023. Results Twenty-nine studies were finally selected. among them, 25 papers were non-comparative studies (86.2%). The most common disease was carpal tube syndrome (n=10). All the investigated studies were treated by injecting pharmacopuncture into the pathway of the entraped nerve. The depth of pharmacopuncture injection was mentioned only in 13 studies. As for the pharmacopuncture used, sweet bee venom was 8 studies and bee venom was 6 studies, and about half of the pharmacopuncture manufactured with Bee venom as the main component accounted for. Conclusions This study is a scoping review of the pharmacopuncture treatment for nerve entrapment, which was first conducted in Korea. The treatment is mainly performed on the path way of the entraped nerve. After that, it is necessary to study the standardization of the specific technique method of pharmacopuncture and the uniformity of evaluation criteria.

Objectives This study aimed to investigate domestic clinical research trends in Shinbaro pharmacopuncture, identify diseases managed using Shinbaro pharmacopuncture, and suggest the direction for future studies to increase its clinical utilization. Methods This study used five steps proposed by Arksey and O'Malley and the PRISMA-extension for scoping reviews checklist. We examined published literature on Shinbaro pharmacopuncture studies reported until June 5, 2023, in the following eight databases (Research Information Sharing Service, Science ON, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, KMBASE, The Society of Internal Korean Medicine, PubMed, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library). The search terms used were 'Shinbaro' or 'Sinbaro'. Results A total of 47 studies were included in our analysis. Of these, 37 (78.7%) were interference time series studies. Shinbaro pharmacopuncture was the most frequently used treatment for lumbosacral disease (n=15). In the facial area, ST4 and ST6 were used in five out of six studies, and in the shoulder area, TE14 and LI15 were used in all studies. Nine of the 15 studies in the lumbosacral area used the EX-B2. The other parts mostly used the pressure points. Compared to other pharmacopuncture methods, the treatment effect was similar to that of bee venom, and faster than that of jungsongouhyul. Conclusions This is the first scoping review of Shinbaro pharmacopuncture therapy in South Korea. Studies with a high level of evidence based on sole treatment, large capacities, and standardization of Shinbaro pharmacopuncture need to be conducted to increase its clinical utilization.
This review summarized research trends regarding sample collection methods, pretreatment method, and types of analysis devices for microplastics (MPs) in soil and groundwater matrices. Soil sampling considers the selection of sampling location, depth, and volume. The typically sampling depth is within 15 cm (topsoil), and about 1 kg of mixed each sample. Among spot sampling and continuous flow sampling, groundwater sampling mainly used a continuous flow sampling, with collection rates 2 to 6 L/min in the range of 300~1,000 L, and followed by immediate on-situ filtration. Pretreatment method, applied to soil and groundwater, consist of organic digestion and density separation. In the organic digestion method, H2O2 is recommended among H2O2, acidic, alkaline, and enzymatic method. NaCl is primarily used as a reagent in density separation. However, depending on the density of MPs, other regents can be selectively used like ZnCl2, ZnBr2, and etc. Representative analysis device includes Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy for non-destructive analysis and Pyrolysis Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) for destructive analysis. µ-FTIR and Raman can count MPs of larger than 10 and 1 ㎛, and analyze MPs materials. However, it is need to sufficiently remove interference, like organic matter, in spectroscopic analysis using essential pretreatment method. Py-GC/MS is being continuously researched because it doesn't require complex pretreatment method and allows quantitative analysis of specific materials.
The purpose of this study is to derive passenger trends and change rates for each airline and identify directionality and synchronization phenomenon. Data by each airlines was collected from the National Statistics Forum of Statistics Korea, and we used a total of 156 monthly data from January 2011 to December 2023. In this study, the rate of change was calculated for domestic Full Service Carriers (Korean Air, Asiana Airlines) and Low Cost Carriers (Jeju Air, Jin Air, T'way, foreign airlines). As a result of the analysis, the correlation was found to be high for KOREA in that order: Asiana, Korean Air, Jeju Air, T'way, Jin Air, foreign airlines. The rate of increase was highest in that order: T'way, Jin Air, Jeju Air, foreign airlines, Asiana, Korean Air. In the Scatter analysis, Asiana and Korean Air showed a very strong synchronization with KOREA. In addition, Jeju Air, T'way, Jin Air and foreign airlines also showed the same direction toward KOREA to a certain degree. In the Box-Box Plot analysis, it was determined that each airline experienced a number of unusual sudden fluctuations due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Passengers have a wider range of choices due to the emergence of Low Cost Carriers, and as a result, expectations for airline service are increasing. Airlines will need to make appropriate environmental improvements to satisfy these needs for corporate development.

This study was conducted with the aim of providing a foundation for high-quality national place name authority data by developing Korean-specific guidelines for place name authority data in response to the need for systematic construction and standardization of authority databases. To this end, a survey of domestic and international trends and cases related to place name authority data was conducted, and the rules and guidelines of each country for establishing place name authority data were analyzed. Based on these surveys and rule analyses, the scope of concepts and terminology required to build a place name authority database were defined and the direction for the development of place name authority data guidelines was set. The analysis also determined the scope and framework of the guidelines, and how they should be referenced to existing rules. The structure of the guidelines proposed in this study is based on the original RDA and NCR. Based on the implications derived from the analysis process, the guidelines were organized and presented in terms of scope of construction, selection and recording of preferred place names, recording of variant place names, and attributes of place names to propose a technical guideline for place name authority data that fits the Korean situation. Future discussions were revealed accordingly.
The purpose of this study is to explore research trends on AI-based mathematics teaching and learning. For this purpose, a systematic literature review was conducted on 57 literatures in terms of research subject, research method, research purpose, learning content, type of AI, role of AI, and role of teachers. The results indicate that student accounted for the largest proportion at 51% among the research subjects, and quantitative research was the highest at 49% among the research methods. The purpose of study was distributed as follows: effect analysis 44%, theoretical discussion 35%, case study 21%. 'Numbers and Operations' and 'Variables and Expressions' covered learning contents most, and Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) was used the most among the types of AI. 'Student teaching' was the largest parts of role of AI at 40.4%, followed by 'teacher support' at 22.8%, 'student support' at 21%, and 'system support' at 15.8%. The role of teachers as 'AI recipients' was highlighted in earlier studies, and the role of teachers as 'constructive partner with AI' was highlighted in more recent studies. Also, role of teachers was explored in pedagogical, AI-technological, content aspects. Through this, follow-up research was suggested and the roles that teachers should have in AI-based mathematics teaching and learning were discussed.

As cyber threats increase in the defense sector, the security of weapon system software is becoming increasingly important. Currently, most of the embedded software installed in domestic weapon systems operates based on foreign real-time operating systems(RTOS) that have no security. As a result, the localization and security enhancement of embedded software for weapon systems have emerged as urgent tasks. This study aims to propose the application and development strategies of secure RTOS for weapon systems. To this end, we examined the technological trends of domestic and foreign RTOS and secure RTOS, and analyzed the problems of current embedded software in weapon systems. The results revealed major issues such as low localization, vulnerability to cyber attacks, difficulty in maintenance, increased costs, and loss of opportunities for accumulating technological capabilities. An investigation of the current status of embedded software applied to existing weapon systems found that embedded SW are in operation across all fields, including maneuver, firepower, protection, command and control, communication, naval vessels, and aircraft. Among them, 99% rely on foreign RTOS such as VxWorks. A review of the core functions and applicability of secure RTOS to weapon systems suggests that it can be applied to key areas requiring real-time performance and security, such as fire control, navigation devices, and flight control in existing and future weapon systems. However, ensuring performance and reliability, securing verification and compatibility, and systematic government support were raised as prerequisites.

The study analyzed the rapidly growing food tech startup in South Korea, focusing on industry classification, core technological domains, investment stages, and growth trajectories. Utilizing the ERIS model, two innovative food tech startups, MyChef and CatchTable, were examined as case studies. Results revealed food tech startups are focusing on information technology and smart distribution technology-oriented solutions rather than traditional food production. This study also found that robotics and AI integration were key technology areas. Analyzing the emergence of food tech startups, investment stages, and cumulative investment amounts based on founding years revealed a trend of scaling operations through rounds of funding, especially after securing SERIES A and B funding. The period between 2014 and 2018 saw a dense concentration of food tech startup establishments, likely influenced by favorable conditions for technological innovation amid the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The high rate of strategic mergers and acquisitions and bankruptcy can be interpreted as the complexity inherent in the food tech industry. The case study of MyChef, which grew into HMR manufacturing, and Wad(CatchTable), which expanded into a restaurant reservation platform, derived the entrepreneurs, resources, industry, and strategic factors that served as success factors for food tech startups. This study has practical implications in that it provides entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers in the food tech industry with insight and direction to develop strategies in line with market trends and technological changes and promote sustainable growth.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends of electroacupuncture (EA) at CV23. Methods: Studies published until July 2024 were searched on PubMed and domestic databases (OASIS, ScienceON, RISS, KISS, KCI, KMbase, and DBpia) using the keywords "CV23", "lianquan", "electroacupuncture", "염천", "전침", and "전기자극". Results: A total of 16 studies were selected. There were 6 randomized controlled trials, 1 case report, and 9 experimental studies. Of the 16 papers selected, 15 examined the effect of EA at CV23 on improving swallowing function. Clinical studies found that EA at CV23 was effective in improving dysphagia, aphasia, and drooling symptoms through mechanisms such as increased hyolaryngeal movement, normalization of pathologically elevated NO, ET, and improvement of excitement of the swallowing motor cortex. According to experimental studies, EA at CV23 activates the brain region associated with swallowing function, promotes the swallowing reflex by increasing neurotransmitters, improves electromyography of the swallowing muscles, and improves blood flow around CV23. Conclusion: Electroacupuncture at CV23 may be an effective and safe method for post-stroke dysphagia, post-stroke aphasia, and post-stroke drooling. In the future, research should be conducted in different diseases and high-quality studies should be conducted.
As climate change is expected to lead to a severe reduction of biodiversity, studies to investigate the reasons for habitat loss, growth decline, and death of Korean fir (Abies koreana Wilson), endangered alpine/subalpine species in Korea, have been conducted for years but found no clear answer yet. This study reviewed previous studies on Korean fir published in the journals in the past 40 years, 1980 through 2020, into 10-year units, examined the study trend by period, region, and subject with a focus on ecological studies, and analyzed the study results. The ecological studies were categorized into evolutionary ecology, physiological ecology, population ecology, and landscape ecology. Based on the results, we suggested the required research fields in the future. We found a total of 73 papers published in the past 40 years and 48 (65.8%) of them published in the past 10 years. In terms of region, Mt. Halla accounted for the most as 41 papers were on it. In terms of ecological subjects, the physiological ecology accounted for the most with 38, and the evolutionary ecology accounted for the least with 10. The review of the study results showed that many studies identified water stress caused by the water resource imbalance due to temperature increase and spring precipitation reduction following climate change as the main reason for the decline and habitat loss of Korean fir. However, recent studies suggested other factors, such as soil environment, disturbing organisms, and climatic events. The cause of the decline and death of the Korean fir not yet being clearly identified is that most of the studies dealt with the basic content, were carried out intermittently, and were concentrated in some regions. Therefore, we need long-term studies with advanced technology in each study subject at a local scale to find the cause of Korean fir decline and present sustainable management and conservation. Moreover, it is necessary to extend our study subjects to ecosystem ecology and systems ecology to integrate the results from various study subjects for a comprehensive understanding of the reason for Korean fir declines. The results of comprehensive studies could provide clearer answers for Korean fir's declines and the alternatives of conservation management and practices.
