Effect of the Consumer-Brand Relationship Quality on the Brand Loyalty in the Fast Food Restaurant in Masan, Korea (패스트푸드 레스토랑의 소비자-브랜드 관계의 질이 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향 - 마산시 일부 대학생을 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the consumer-brand relationship Quality (CBRQ) on the brand loyalty in the fast food restaurant in Masan, Korea. The Questionnaires were distributed to 250 students in the K University located in Masan, who were sampled by convenience-sampling method. The surveys were performed from December 6 to 14, 2004. The 246 Questionnaires were responded, and 12 unusable Questionnaires were excluded, then 234 were used for the final analysis $(response rate:\;93.7\%)$. For the statistical analysis, SPSS (12.0) was used to conduct the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. The result of this study showed that 2 constructs (satisfaction and commitment) of consumer-brand relationship Quality have significant positive effects on the brand loyalty in the fast food restaurant. It meant that as consumer-brand relationship quality becomes stronger, the customer's brand loyalty becomes greater. The differences of customer loyalty between the high and low group of self-connective attachment, satisfaction, commitment, trust and intimacy were significant. So the brand loyalty of high group of customer-brand relationship quality was significantly higher than that of low group of customer-brand relationship quality. As a conclusion, the operator in the fast food restaurant should focus on the marketing strategy to strengthen the quality of consumer-brand relationship in order to increase the brand loyalty of customers.

  • This study is a case study about the status of science gifted follow-up management systems for nation-level institutes for gifted and talented education. The aim of the study is to develop the theoretical model that establishes the basis of follow-up management systems for scientifically gifted to support in order to grow the beneficiaries of nation- level scientifically gifted education into globally competitive talented. Specifically, this study says the components of the systematic and efficient structure for nation-level gifted follow-up management. For this, we collect the experts' opinions on gifted education for follow-up management of the beneficiaries on national level science gifted, and gifted and talented education institutions conducted the case study for follow-up management. The collecting of experts' opinion have participated 11 persons, and 6 institutes were involved in the case study of follow-up management institutes. As a result, it reports for scientifically gifted follow-up management systems to be made by forming of the upper systems and each lower systems. Resources system was found to be composed of human information system and education information system. Operating system was found to be composed of input system, analysis system, and management system. Application system was found to be composed of prediction system, verification system and improvement system.

Analysing Astronomical Thinking of Elementary, Middle, and High School Students Using Ordered Multiple Choice Items (순위 선다형 문항을 이용한 초·중·고등학생의 천문학적 사고 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the astronomical thinking level of elementary, middle, and high school students using ordered multiple choice items. For this purpose, we constructed a questionnaire comprising three items about spatial thinking and system thinking. This survey was conducted and applied to 1,066 students in the 5th grade, 8th grade, and 11th grade in 12 schools located in Gangwon Province. The collected student response data were analyzed by applying inferential statistics of classical test theory and Rasch model. The results of the analysis were as follows; First, in the level of spatial thinking, students were able to grasp the spatial location and orientation of the celestial body, but were not able to convert the celestial motion of two-dimensional plane into three-dimensional plane, and it was revealed that there is no statistically significant difference in the spatial thinking of students among grade levels. Second, in the level of system thinking, students were able to identify the components and relationship between components of the celestial motion system, but could not identify the patterns of the system, and it was revealed that there was statistically significant difference among the system thinking of students in different grade levels, unlike in spatial thinking. Third, the astronomical thinking expressed in certain context (content) was very similar regardless of grade level, Through this, we could confirm the context-dependency or content-dependency of the astronomical thinking of students. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as basic data for exploring ways to enhance astronomical thinking level in school science classes.

Changes in Life Habits of Health Associated with Participation in a Wellness Improvement Program in the Elderly (웰니스 건강 증진 프로그램 참여에 따른 고령자 건강생활습관 변화)

  • This study was conducted with the elderly who used a senior welfare center to help their health improvement. After the status of body composition, senior fitness, life habits, and nutrition levels in the elderly were investigated, a wellness health improvement program was conducted for 12 weeks. Effects before and after the program were examined. The following conclusions were drawn. 1. For the changes of body composition by age associated with sex, while elderly men had a significant difference in BMI, elderly women had a significant difference in B.M.I and body fat percentage. 2. For the changes of senior fitness by age associated with sex, while elderly men had a significant difference in lower body muscle, upper body muscle, upper body flexibility, and transformed general endurance, elderly women had a significant difference in lower body muscle and upper body muscle. 3. For the changes of life habits and nutrition levels by age associated with sex, while elderly men had a significant difference in diet habits and exercise habits, elderly women had a significant difference in exercise habits, stress relief habits, and total nutrition level. Based on the findings, the elderly's participation in the wellness improvement program can enhance lower body muscle which is a risk factor of daily activities and fall and increase upper body muscle which is good to carry and move everyday objects. In addition, it may play a positive role in improving diet habits and changing stress relief and exercise habits, resulting in better health and quality of life of the elderly.

A Study on the Construction and Application of Social Capital Scale in Social Welfare Organizations (사회복지조직의 사회적 자본 척도 구성과 그 적용에 관한 연구)

  • This study set out to construct an social capital scale that could be commonly used by social welfare organizations and to apply it to examine any differences in social capital among social welfare organizations. For those purposes, the study distributed a questionnaire by mail to social welfare organizations in 15 cities and provinces across the nation and conducted latent means analysis. The major research findings were as follows. First, as a result of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, the validity and reliability in measurement indicators of social capital were proved to be satisfactory level. Secondly, social capital were found to be interpreted at the organizational level through the review of levels of analysis. Meanwhile, the configural, metric, and scalar invariance of social capital scale were confirmed, which indicates that the social capital scale can be commonly applied to social welfare organizations. Finally, latent means analysis was carried out to examine differences among social welfare organizations in the subindexes of social capital including network connectivity, setting and sharing of vision, reciprocal norm, trust and cooperation, and group participation. As a result, there were significant differences among social welfare organizations in network connectivity, reciprocal norm, trust and cooperation and group participation but no statistically significant differences among them in sharing of vision, goal and core value. Those findings led to implications needed to manage of social welfare organizations.

A Framework for Progression in the Professional Development and Learning of Secondary Science Teachers' Teaching Practice (중등 과학교사의 수업 실행 전문성의 발달과 학습 틀)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a framework for progression in the professional development and learning of secondary science teachers' teaching practice. The progression in the professional development was modified Pilhee Woo's framework(2010), and in the learning was developed by the researchers. The former included 6 elements and 36 aspects. The progression of each aspect was composed of five level criteria. The content validity is 96.4% and the reliability is .96. The latter was composed of another five level criteria. The content validity is 96.0% and the reliability is .95. Internet-online test and the questionnaire were administered to 203 secondary science teachers who were selected by convenience sampling. The mean level of the progression in the professional development and learning were 2.21 and 2.95. ANOVA, t-test and correlation analysis were conducted to compare differences by the characteristics of teachers. The level of the progression in the professional development and learning was significant difference according to almost all of teachers' characteristics. The level of the progression in the professional development was significantly correlated with the level of the progression in the learning.

Determinants of Registered Nurse Skill Mix & Staffing Level in Korea (간호인력 구성 및 확보수준 결정 요인)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify determinants of registered nurse (RN) skill mix and staffing level focused on hospital characteristics. Methods: Data were obtained from health insurance claims data and hospital reporting system in the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) for the year 2010. Data from 2,998 hospitals were analysed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis. Results: The RN skill mix and staffing level were positively related to hospital size and the percentage of inpatients to total patients. RN skill mix and staffing level were statistically different across regions. Including nursing aides (NA), however, there was no difference in staffing levels across regions. Medically vulnerable regions, bed operation rate, and the number of patients per doctor were also related to RN skill mix and staffing level. Conclusion: The statically significant determinants of RN skill mix and staffing level included hospital size, region, bed operation rate, percentage of inpatients, doctor-patient ratio. Further study needs to be done to investigate factors including RN supply and wages.

  • 현재 통신망 서비스는 과거의 한 지역에 국한된 서비스 수준을 넘어 전세계 지역을 대상으로 발전되고 있으며, 그에따라 통신 설비와 그 서비스의 종류도 다양화 및 고도화 되어 가고 있다. 그러나, 각 지역의 통신 노드들은 서로 다른 형태의 정보와 시스템으로 구성되어 있기 때문에 전체 통신 노드들의 통합시 발생할 수 있는 이기종 시스템간의 상호운용(interoperability) 및 관리 문제, 분산 환경하에서의 처리 문제 및 무관성(transparency) 충족문제 등을 표준화 작업을 통하여 해결해 나가고 있다. 또한, 초기의 통신망 출현 시에는 망 자체적인 특성으로 인하여 정보의 수준이 단순하였으나, 요사이 통신망은 엄청난 수의 노드 분산화, 구성 노드의 이질화 및 복잡화는 물론이고 이러한 특성을 갖는 망 자체의 빠른 진화로 인하여 망에서 다루어야 할 정보의 종류와 가지수는 천문학적으로 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같은 현실로 인하여 정보 관리 서비스 구조에 대한 연구가 꾸준히 진행되어 1988년 국제전신전화자문회(Consultative Committee for International Telegraph and Telephone: CCITT, 이하 CCITT라 함, CCITT는 현재 ITU로 개명)에서는 전체 통신망에 존재하는 통신 관련 정보를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 강력한 정보 제공 시스템인 전역(global) 디렉토리 서비스에 대한 국제 표준으로 X.500 시리즈를 발표하기에 이르렀으며, 계속적인 보완작업을 통하여 1992년판 표준안이 완료되었다. 이에 본 고에서는 1992년 판 X.500 디렉토리 표준에 명시된 내용 중 정보 모델링 관점의 내용들을 발췌 분석하므로써 향후 디렉토리 정보 베이스 구축시에 가이드라인으로 사용할 수 있도록 하고자 한다.

Queueing Network Model for Large-scale Multimedia -On-Demand Service Systems with Unreliable Components (결함 발생을 고려한 대규모 주문형 멀티미디어 서비스 시스템의 큐잉 네트워크 모델)

  • 멀티미디어 서비스환경에서는 수백에서 수천의 클라이언트들이 하나의 서버에 접속되기 때문에 서버 결합이 미치는 영향이 상당히 크다. 이러한 결함은 단지 서버 자체의 장애로 끝나는 것이 아니라 그로 인해 서비스 제공자들에게 유형.무형의 막대한 재산상의 피해를 가져올수 있다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 서버를 구성하고 있는 자원(프로세서, 디스크, 네트워크)의 결함 발생을 고려한 큐잉 네트워크 모델을 개발하였다. 복수개의 M/M/1 큐를 큐잉 네트워크로 연결하여, 각 자원에 대한 접근 및 서비스를 모델링하였으며, 각 자원에서의 서비스 시간 지연 비율(큐의 응답시간)의 조정을 통해서, 서버 자원의 결함 발생을 고려하였다. 고객 도착률과 자원 고장률 변동에 대한 서버 자원의 이용률과 큐의 길이를 구하여 효율적인 시스템 구성 자원의 부분별 용량을 산정하였으며 , 또한 데이터 패킷 응답 시간 분포 및 고장률 변화에 따른 시스템의 신뢰도 수준을 계산하였다. 이와 같은 서비스 시스템 성능에 관련된 파라미터 분석을 통하여 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스 수준 (Quality of Service)에 중요한 영향을 미치는 서버 설계 요소를 파악하였고, 시뮬레이터 패키지를 활용한 모의 실험을 통하여 개발된 큐잉 네트워크 모델의 정확성을 검증하였다.

Construction of Learner's Differential Contents for Self-Directed Learning (자기주도적 학습을 위한 학습자 수준별 콘텐츠 구성)

  • A lot of learning systems are applying self-directed learning to increase learner's learning effect. But most of this methods are hardly applied to fit the construction of learning contents considering learner's characteristics or it was processing the learning course without learner's choice. In this research, we proposed the recommendation method that can support the learning contents as calculate learner's preference contents based on learning history information when learner design the learning course. In the result, we chose test learner group and was able to know to generally increase average score of each learner after test between existing method and proposal one.
