  • This paper takes a close look at technology related services of e-Commerce companies from the viewpoint of B2C customers. The goal is to determine at which specific points of the customer purchase journey changes should occur, to address consumers' personal needs more effectively. All ten technologies examined fall into one of the following steps of the customer purchase journey: Decision Making, Payment Methods, and Delivery. AHP was utilized to clarify the preferences of millennials from Germany and Korea. The findings show that factors such as country of origin and gender had an impact on the preferences of the survey participants. In case of Germany, women replied that a change in Payment Methods would lead to significant enhancement of their shopping experiences, whereas men favored Decision Making. As for Korea, both genders stated that Decision Making should be the focus of marketers' efforts. One of the main findings was that participants from Germany and Korea exhibited different tastes in the use of technologies. Germans preferred functional technologies, whereas Koreans favored technologies which are more engaging and entertaining.

  • Unplanned purchase is an unexpected buying behavior affected by product or marketing stimuli. Unplanned purchase does not follow the order of the rational decision making process. Through an in-depth interview, this study classified the types of unplanned purchase of clothing and examined the decision-making processes. The results (according to the need recognition level of consumers prior to stimuli) show three types of unplanned purchase of clothing products that are classified as: the need-manifesting type, the need-embodying type, and the need-reminding type. In addition, each type is reclassified into the high-cognition type and the low-cognition type according to the cognitive effort level of consumers during the purchase decision-making process. The need-manifesting type recognized a buying need after exposure to stimuli and then engaged in unplanned purchases. The need-embodying type recognized a problem, but the purchase intention was not concrete. The need-reminding type recognized a desire to buy clothing products, but temporarily forgot it, and then later remembered the problem recognition from the past after experiencing the stimuli.

  • As electronic commerce establishes itself as a viable and competitive channel, this research compares the attractiveness of online and offline purchase from a transaction cost perspective. In the process, we propose a framework that integrates transaction cost with purchase decision process and product type. Specifically, the paper proposes and tests hypotheses regarding the difference between online and offline channels with respect to the transaction costs incurred in each stage of the purchase decision process. These differences are further compared across different product types categorized according to the FCB Grid. A total of 24 hypotheses were tested by conducting a questionnaire survey on university students. The results showed that 19 out of 24 hypotheses were supported. Following a detailed presentation of the analysis results, the paper concludes by discussing the academic and managerial implications of the findings.

  • On-line consumers have some visit behavior characteristics when they visit internet-shopping mall between visit-stage and purchase-stage. Therefore, information of on-line consumers have influenced on internet-shopping mall's profitabilities at site manager's perspectives. For examples, Are any on-line consumers continuous visiting under any situations? Or are any on-line consumers purchased on any specific internet-shopping mall? Expecially in this paper, researcher tried to understand visit behavioral characteristics of on-line consumers using two-stage mixture regression analysis. Throughout this process, it could be proposed method, which could be reinforced competitiveness of internet-shopping mall by segmental decision-making method. Additionally, it is expected that visit behavioral characteristics' information could be supplied strategic implications between visit-stage and purchase-stage Throughout empirical test it could be proved two-stage decision-making process, which decision-making process of on-line consumers would be processed visit-stage and purchase-stage. In this study, researcher proposed suitable response strategy after understanding visiting behavioral characteristics of on-line consumers. This paper has some academical contributions, which visit behavioral characteristics of on-line consumers could be grasped the meaning by site stickiness and navigation pattern.

  • With the emergence of indirect procurement, it has become a global trend for companies to outsource their maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) supplies to procurement service providers (PSPs). Due to the variety of MRO items, evaluation of numerous suppliers in various industries is a particularly complex task for PSPs. Due to this complexity, many PSPs still evaluate and select suppliers based on the sourcing managers' subjective knowledge. Through the case of adopting a supplier evaluation system, this research is to find the managerial issues organizations should consider when they transform sourcing managers' knowledge into the system. We interpret the issues based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. This case conclusively shows the importance of positive feedback loop between the users and the information system for the performance improvement of the system.

  • When a consumer intends to purchase products through Internet stores, many difficulties are met because of limitations of the current search engines and the current web structure, and lack of tools supporting decision-makings. This paper raises an Internet shopping problem and proposes a framework of decision making process to settle it with an intelligent agent based on Semantic Web and Finite Domain Constraint. The agent uses finite domain constraint programming as modeling and solution methods for the decision problem under the Semantic Web environment.

  • Industrial design aiming the mutual benefit of both user and manufacturer demands grasping and analyzing the needs and wants of consumer for the establishment of the optimum plan and production by attribute oriented approach. Inspite of its usefulness, however, it might be impossible to help industrial designers to develop a new product effectively without full understanding of industrial design activity in attributes of products and using the appropriate methodology for grasping the major attributes. This thesis is purposed for developing the guideline of research models of consumer for industrial by studying characteristics of industrial design activity in attributes of products through bibliography and defining the clear limit of design research focused on consumer selection through comparison with real purchase decision making procedure at every phase. Through the observation and analysis of the real purchase decision making procedure following the proposed guideline, the possibility of difference between the two cases has been shown in both theoretical and practical aspects.

  • Enterprise's executives who believe methodologies the theories prescribe consideration of consumer as rational and reasonable behavior. However, by recent investigation, consideration of consumer can be defined behavior that is occurred by sensibility. These consideration of consumer affect to a process that purchase a product, consumer's purchase decision process. Consumer make a purchasing decision with sensible criterion, respective of quality after all rather than various rational criterion like price, efficiency and usefulness. Brand image has sensible value to thought in the mind about a product and affect to purchase products. Hence building brand image through positive sensitivity is significant point in strengthening. Research from this point of view makes a content advance with improving product process along storytelling method which kind of affective, sensible communication way as a factor of strengthening brand image.
