The school library media specialists offer the users assistance in using information resources and instructional media by assessing, evaluating and selecting the most appropriate materials for the present educational situation in school. The format of the information media and the scope of the media center collection have constantly been changed by information technology. Media specialist has to know the selection criteria to be capable of providing any media format in the technological society, particularly of providing instruction software(courseware), multimedia, hypermedia and digital reference service to maintain the school library media center as one of the user oriented educational information centers. This paper presents the selection criteria for the instruction media by media format as one of the useful guidelines to the media specialist.

Biodiversity, which has recently become increasingly recognized due to the destruction of the ecosystem, is an important factor in the survival of humans and the ecosystem, and has a significant impact on the survival of endangered species. Accordingly, social education is necessary to maintain biodiversity, and education through media can be more effective than simple theory because it is more accessible and has higher demand. This study developed a game to improve awareness of endangered species protection by investigating and analyzing theories and research data from existing literature. Pre- and post-tests were conducted on the game developed as a result of the research to confirm that it had an effect of improving awareness. The results of the research are expected to be utilized in educational institutions such as schools through supplementation.

Although the social media plays leading role in the change the political, economic, social and cultural environment in all fields, it is not really understanded the overall management of social media in society. With understandings on the influence of social media, the purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of social media and to provide some suggestion to make use effectively of social media in society. To achieve th purpose of this study, the responsibility and the effort of government was examined. As a result, the Social Media Strategy Broad (tentative title 'Social Media Committee') suggests to protection of the users' rights and active support of the current utilization. This study is expected to show the meaningful implication of social media strategy and standard of the social media utilization in policy, education etc.

독서 교육은 종래의 종이책 위주의 독서에서 종이책과 인터넷의 멀티미디어를 병행한 방향으로 나아가고 있으며 재량활동 시간에 독서관련 활동을 선택하는 학급이 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. 또한, 각 분야에서 이와 관련된 웹을 활용한 독서지도프로그램이 많이 연구되고, 제안되고 있다. 위인전이나 동화, 영어이야기 등의 분야는 웹을 활용한 여러가지 활동들이 제공되고 있지만 초등학생을 위한 동시를 즐길 수 있는 내용들은 많이 부족한 실정이다. 종래의 동시지도는 주로 교사와 텍스트 중심으로 이루어져 왔다. 본 연구에서는 학습자 중심의 수업활동을 통해 학습자 스스로 사고하고 연상함으로써 동시를 학습(국어과 교육과정을 분석하여 재량활동에 사용)할 수 있도록 웹을 기반으로 하는 동시학습 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

국내에서는 네트워크를 활용한 원격 교육 시스템에 관한 연구는 진행되어 왔으나, 차세대 네트워크 기술을 원격 교육에 적용하는 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 차세대 인터넷 기술의 범용성을 확보하기 위해서, 고도의 네트워크, 시스템소프트웨어 응용 기술의 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 이를 위해 전통적인 비디오/오디오 중심의 멀티미디어 스트림 전송에 있어 멀티캐스트 네트워크를 활용하고, 체계적인 세션관리를 위하여 XML(extensible Markup Language)과 차세대 웹기술인 웹서비스(Web Service)를 이용하여 상호 운영성을 제공하는 원격 교육 세션관리 시스템을 개발함으로써, 체계적인 원격강의 정보를 제공하는 차세대 인터넷 응용 프로그램을 개발하는 것이 논문의 목표이다.

컴퓨터와 멀티미디어, 네트워크 기술의 발달을 바탕으로 웹 기반 교육이 출현하였고 기존 교실 중심수업의 한계를 뛰어 넘는 교육적 잠재성에 교육 운영자 및 학습자는 많은 기대를 하게 되었다. 웹을 이용한 학습은 자기주도적인 학습이 가능하고 학습자와 교수자 간의 상호 보완적인 학습이 이루어질 수 있다는 장점이 있기 때문이다. 이러한 웹 기반 학습을 효과적으로 운영하기 위해서는 개별 교육기관 자체적으로 개발한 학습관리시스템(Learning Management System;LMS)이 필요하다. 학습자들에게 양질의 온라인 콘텐츠를 제공하고자 하는 교사들을 위해 개발된 학습관리시스템 중 하나가 Moodle LMS이다. Moodle LMS는 소스가 공개되어 있어 누구나 필요한 사람은 소스를 개선, 확장, 활용할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 Moodle LMS를 활용하여 학습자가 원활하게 토론에 참여할 수 있는 토론 시스템을 설계하였다.

빅데이터의 중요성이 부각되고 있는 빅데이터의 시대에 교육서비스시장은 스마트 교육이라는 새로운 변화에 따라 많은 변화가 일어나고 있다. 자기 주도적이며 개인화되고 쌍방향커뮤니케이션 등의 특징을 가진 스마트러닝 환경에서는 LMS와 LCMS의 역할이 점점 중요해지고 있다. 현재 콘텐츠의 중요성이 부각되는 정보홍수 시대이므로 LCMS가 해야 할 역할이 크다. 그러나 아직까지는 교육서비스에서 빅데이터의 아키텍쳐와 대용량 데이터 처리 기술을 활용하고 있는 사례는 그다지 많지 않다. 이에 본 논문에서는 빅데이터 기술을 활용한 LCMS에 대해 분석하고 새로운 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine parents' mental model of media environment and children's media use and to provide some educational suggestions. For this purpose, twelve parents of second-graders to fourth-graders sampled in elementary schools were interviewed with three activities such as a word-association experiment, a sentence completion task and a in-depth interview. The result was categorized into 8 elements such as interaction, source of supply and adverse effects. Furthermore, the analysis on the mental model of media use shows that firstly, the parents understand modern media reflects competence while they have a feeling of fear and newness on media themselves. Secondly, the parents show an ambivalent understanding on media use in terms of both negative and positive effects and have a tendency to control them. Another finding is the fact that the parents understand digital media as a representation of both connection and disconnection. Also, the parents realize media as a cause of conflict and as a place for reconciliation as well. Finally, it is showed that media is not only a personal territory but also a part of social system in the parents' understanding. Based on these findings, some interpretations and parents' educational applications are provided in terms of the Meyrowitz(1998; 1999)'s three perspectives on media.

The purpose of this study was to design and develop a multimedia program for elementary school students' emergent literacy teaching. The program aims at helping students improve their reading ability and enhance their letter decoding ability through drill-and-practice as well as tutorial instructional strategies. To that end, the instructional materials were reorganized so as to provide a basic syllable table and writing examples with standard pronunciation. The multimedia program is composed of three sections: basic literacy teaching, advanced literacy teaching, and evaluation sections. The implications of the study were discussed.

Recently, the rapid growth of the media market and the expectations of users have been increasing. In this research, tags are extracted through media-derived audio and classified into specific categories using artificial intelligence. This category is a type of emotion including joy, anger, sadness, love, hatred, desire, etc. We use JupyterNotebook to conduct the corresponding study, analyze voice data using the LiBROSA library within JupyterNotebook, and use Neural Network using keras and layer models.
