European economic integration and geographical enlargement brought change in the intra-european trade flow and a trade structure. The first, an european enlargement contributes to the increase in intra-european trade, but its effect relatively becomes smaller successive enlargement. The second, the intra-industry trade increases in the intra-european trade according as an european economic integration and enlargement make possible the economy of scale. In the intra-industry trade, the horizontal intra-industry trade decreases and the vertical intra-industry trade increases. The third, the Western Europe's trade is generally an intra-industry trade, the trade of Southern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe is an inter-industry trade. But the South Europe's trade and Central and Eastern Europe's trade change from the inter-industry trade to the intra-industry trade.

This study was done through Panel Gravity Model to analyze the trade pattern of Korean motor industry and empirical analysis was also performed on the effect of regional economies joining to the Korean trade is to draw out some implications. Compared with per capita pattern regarding the income levels of both the countries, the results indicated that trade of Korean motor industry followed GDP pattern in accordance with the overall market. The results of effect on regional economic integration to Korean motor industry reflected 179% and 198% increase in motor trade industry and motor parts trade, respectively. To expand the trade of Korean motor industry at the international competitiveness level, focus should be made on smaller, smarter and greener car with lesser impact on the environment. Hence, the present investigation suggested that government should not delay in retaining the core technology as well as private sector should also aggressively invest in the market.

The paper uses a panel gravity model to analyse the determinants of export via Gwangyang port for the period from 2000-2012. The gravity model includes export via Gwangyang port, GDP and population of trading partners, the distances between Korea and its partners, and Korea-ASEAN FTA dummy. Hausman test shows up which one is exactly appropriate between random effect estimation and fixed effect estimation to use panel dataset. It depends on whether or not existence or nonexistence of the correlation between unobserved omitted factors and variables. Fixed effect estimation is suitable for this paper by the rejection of null hypothesis. An Empirical analysis of this paper shows GDP influences positive effects and distance influences negative effects to Gwangyang port trading partners. In addition, the results strongly supported the effects of Korea-ASEAN FTA on the growth of Gwangyang port export.

The purpose of this study is to examine the current situation of Korean shipbuilding industry and the effects of free trade agreements (FTAs) in this field. This paper uses empirical research models including a panel gravity model based on trade, gross domestic product, purchasing power parity, population, distance, and implementation of FTA. According to the results of the analysis, FTAs have a positive influence on the Korean shipbuilding industry. Therefore, the Korean government needs to work positively in order to sign FTAs and provide support for the industry and related businesses to grow.

차기 전투기 사업의 성과는 공군의 전력 증강이라는 기본적인 목표 달성이외에 부수적으로 달성한 절충교역 내용이 매우 중요하다. 절충교역 분야는 기술이전, 부품제작/수출, 창정비 등 크게 3가지 분야로 나뉘어 공군, 조달본부, 국방과학연구소, 국내 방산업체 등이 협상에 참여하였는데, 국익을 우선으로 하여 적극적으로 협상을 추진한 결과 당초 목표를 크게 웃도는 85%라는 높은 성과를 달성하였다. 이로써 군은 국내 창정비 능력을 통해 원활한 군수지원이 가능하게 되었고, 특히 유사시 작전 효율성 증대에 크게 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

아시아 북방국가중 에너지자원이 많아 수출의 가능성이 있는 나라들은 러시아, 중국, 베트남, 서남아시아 CIS 공화국 등이다. 이들은 경제발전단계가 우리나라의 중간재와 내구성 소비재를 수입하는 단계이기 때문에, 향후 우리나라와의 교역관계가 매우 증대할 전망이다. 그러나 이들 국가들은 경화의 지불능력이 약하기 때문에 이들이 가진 에너지를 수입할 수 있다면 교역은 더욱 확대될 수 있다. 여기에 이들 나라들의 에너지 수출가능성이 우리의 관심사가 된다.

태평양 도서국은 간선항로와 먼 거리, 적은 물동량, 수출입 불균형 등으로 해상운임이 높게 형성되어 있으며, 기후변화에 취약하여 항만운영에 제약이 많은 등 해상운송이 상당히 열악한 실정이다. 또한 해상운송 의존도가 상당히 높은 반면, 정기선 연계정도는 상당히 낮아 해운물류 경쟁력을 향상 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사회연결망분석(SNA)를 통해 14개 태평양 도서국의 국가 간 해상교역 구조를 파악하고 이를 통해 해상운송망 강화를 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 분석 결과, 대상국가 간 교역구조는 점차 복잡해지고 있으며, 점차 피지, 사모아, 파푸아뉴기니 등을 중심으로 Hub-spoke 체제의 해상운송 네트워크가 형성되고 있다. 역내 해상운송망 강화를 위해서는 분석결과에서 도출된 역내 주요 항만을 환적항으로 개발하여 해상운송 연계성을 강화하고, 카보타지 허용을 통한 정기선 입항빈도 증대, 인프라 개선을 통한 항만 운영탄력성 강화 등이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is on the expansion of trade between South Korea and Middle East Countries. This paper examines the existing state of the Middle East area. The Trade Intensity index and Trade Specialization index analysis enables to evaluate the trade between South korea and Middle east Countries. Hence, this study explains how to proceed the trade and shows some items for advancement in the market. And it gives also some products for vitalizing the export in South Korea. Furthermore, this presents the next-generation growth engines industry and develops new market frontier. In order to promote trade between South korea and Middle East area, korean government must be keep trying to make the FTA with middle east. and korean company must be improving to understand the local culture and to hire special for Middle East.
