A Study on the Use of Newspaper Articles for Mathematising in the Primary School Mathematics (초등학교 수학 교실에서의 수학화를 위한 신문 활용 방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study intended to search for the way of NIE use as follows: 1) Setting up theoretical base about the way of NIE use to math loaming in primary school. 2) Analyzing the course mathematising through NIE use in math learning in practice. 3) Searching for the way of NIE use to aim at mathematising. As the result, this presented NIE model for mathematising according to the character of each step of the mathematising course. This paper says two things : The first, the way for using learning materials as reonstructing articles of newspapers to teach math learning 1) is searched for each information, scrapped to materialize. 2)is to extract the contents of NIE teaming available to the field and the unit of math curriculum. 3) searches for and applies the model for math NIE teaming. 4) makes up learning materials for each level using articles and presents the matters of deepening and supplement suitable for students. The second, the way for teaching math NIE with a view to helping students' mathematising during the course of teachers' math teaming. 1) reconstructs materials chosen by students' reality. 2) should offer students' communication and abundant context materials which mathematical model is possible. 3)needs to guide students to have motivation teaming so that they can mathematise their real matters by rediscovery 4) progresses mathematical activity using newspapers so that they can apply to new reality by applying informed Idea.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Mathematics-Learning Theory (수학학습 이론의 효과 고찰)

  • This study is to adjust the Theory in the Mathematics Education, apply it to learning mathematics and to analyse its effectiveness. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, because learning mathematics is hierarchical, teachers must make and use a task analysis table classified by units. Second, development age and the retention of mathematics concepts are intimately associated with cognitive development theory. Third, learning mathematics through cognitive processes enhances a student's scholastic achievement. Fourth, students interests and self-confidence can be enhanced through the presentation of both examples and non-examples. We cannot understand the higher-order concepts of mathematics by only its definitions. The only way of understanding such concepts is to have experience through suitable examples.

An Analysis of Mathematics Instruction Focused on Discourse-Based Communication (담화 중심 수학적 의사소통 수업의 분석)

  • Mathematical communication has been emphasized not only as the process of learning mathematics but also as the objective of mathematics education. However, little studies have been conducted with regard to what to consider and how to implement in the actual classroom for promoting mathematical communication. Given this background, this paper implemented a mathematics instruction in each of 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade classrooms in which specific learning objectives were considered to promote discourse-based mathematical communication. It then analyzed the degree by which such learning objectives were achieved and the linguistic interactions between the teacher and students in each classroom. This paper finally provided issues and suggestions for effective discourse-based instruction in mathematics classroom by analyzing similarities and differences among the three classrooms.

  • 21세기 정보화 시대에는 알고 있는 지식의 대부분이 짧은 생성 주기를 가지게 되어, 다양한 변화의 시대가 될 것으로 예상하며 우리는 이것을 체험하고 있다. 열린수업에 대한 연구가 끝나기도 전에 수준별수업, 이번에는 멀티미디어 수업, 올해는 수행평가와 체험수업 등으로 다양한 변화를 권장받고 있다. 그리고 변화는 더욱 가속될 것이며, 또 다른 새로운 이름의 학습모형이 계속해서 나올 것이지만 그래도 일관된 방향성을 찾는다면, 가르친다는 것이 '지식의 전달'에 근거한 권위적인 모델로부터 '배움의 자극'을 제공하는 학생중심의 수업으로, 개별적인 학습활동과 더불어 소집단 공동학습활동을 중시하여, 발표${\cdot}$토의 활동과 관찰, 조사 등의 자기주도적인 학습능력과 협력 학습능력을 배양하는 쪽으로 바뀌어 가는 것이다. 다음의 예는 구서여자중학교 중심 MathPower 교과연구회에서 수행하고 있는 수학적 힘을 기르는 몇 가지 방법으로, 수학적 개념을 가르치는데 가장 적절한 예는 아닐 수도 있지만, ${\cdot}$ 학습수준을 고려한 교양으로서의 수학. ${\cdot}$ 협동적으로 사고하고 문제를 해결하는 의사소통 수단으로서의 수학. ${\cdot}$ 창의성과 인재에 중점을 둔 수학. 교육으로, 다양한 학습자료의 제작 및 활용으로 교실이 다른 사람과 협동적으로 사고하며, 수학적인 아이디어를 나누는 장소가 되어, 가슴이 따뜻하며, 재기발랄한 아이들이 IQ와 EQ, 그리고 창의력을 두루 맛볼 수 있었으면 하는 바램으로 정리한 것입니다.

Hearing Restoration Operation (청력증진술)

  • The aim of ear operation is to cease otorrhea and to restore hearing. The ceasation of otorrhea and the graft of tympanic membrane are reached to successful stage, and yet hearing restoration process still remains further to need a matter of development. Authors carried out 67 cases hearing restoration operation among 154 patients who had been undertaken mastoid-tympanoplasty during period of Feb. 1978 through March 1979. 54 cases have been followed for this study among 67 cases hearing restoration operation. The used material of operation are almostly incus and some cases with TORP. This paper is dealing with its surgical method and postoperative audimetric study.

  • The Purpose of this study is to clarify present situation and condition of information in public education and then. indicate the problems and suggest their solutions on new developmental plan. As a result, it was found that a lots of problems, a crisis of 'collapse on classroom' and insufficient using a medium of information. This study suggested the information equipment should be supplied. to develop the educational effective programs using a medium of information, to build information infrastructure, and the role of teacher in information education.

  • This study measures the various moving velocities of elementary school children under situation of fire drill and suggests the methods of analysis. The velocities are such as the exiting velocity at the door of the classroom, personal walking velocity at corridor, velocity according to density of crowd and personal walking velocity at stairway. For these measurement an elementary school in Daejeon is chosen and 15 girls and 15 boys are selected in each grade. Finally speed data of the children is obtained and we can apply this data for the evacuation simulation of a school.

  • This study is to clarify the actual condition of the plan of high schools in the rural area. Recently, many high schools are remodeling the buildings and facilities based on departmental system. This study, through analyzing on 5 remodeling cases of high school in gyeongnam area. This article discuses about the basic characteristics of the plan composition and the education program of 5 high schools. This study is showing the variation before and after remodeling and space organization types. The results of this study are summarized as follows; We studied 5 high schools in 2012~2013 of them, which located in the rural area. We studied the location of department classrooms, teachers' labs and home bases of them. 1) Most of them take horizontal zoning system in the department classrooms. 2) The number of teachers' labs were increased in most of floors. On the other hand, most of Labs' area were decreased. Every department classroom zone has one teachers' lab. 3) Sample schools took much more spaces of home-base and media-space than before.

Measurement of Classroom Air Quality in large cities in summer (여름철 대도심 학교교실의 실내공기환경 측정연구)

  • Together with the concern about the indoor all quality as sick house syndrome, the Ministry of Environment announced "Indoor Air Quality Control Law for the Multi Purpose Facility," which made the interests to be focused in the urgent understanding of current condition and preparation of measures about the indoor air pollution. In Dec 2005, the law was revised to obligatorily notify the amount of Formaldehyde and Volatile Organic Compounds in the case of newly constructed apartments with more than 100 houses. School also have its own indoor air quality guideline, Indoor air quality in school is very important because, children who very weak to indoor pollutants reside long time in there. The purpose of this paper is to survey indoor air qualify in school by field measurement. Field measurements were performed in 11 schools which were selected from 3 major cities(Incheon, Dae-jeon, chuncheon) in korea, during July, 2004. Totally concentration of Indoor pollutants were determined in 27 classroom. Target air pollutants were TVOC, formaldehyde, dust, CO, CO2 and NO2. For the result of this investigation, Indoor air quality in classroom was very poor and it was found that some pollutants (TVOC, float bacteria) exceed the guideline.

A Field Measuring Study on the Thermal Environment of Human Surrounding in the Classroom Equipped with Ceiling Unit (천장형 유닛을 설치한 교실 내의 인체 주변 온열환경에 관한 실측연구)

  • This paper performed to investigate on vertical temperature distribution, effective draft temperature (ETD) and PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) in the classroom, which is located YangSan city (Kyungsangnam-Do), Korea, is equipped with ceiling unit. The vertical temperature difference between F.L+10 cm (ankle) and F.L+120 cm (neck) of a measuring point which is adjacent corridor in the classroom showed about $1^{\circ}C$ but of measuring point which is adjacent outdoor expressed up to $4^{\circ}C$, The effective draft temperature (ETD) is -2.3 and -0.52 and 0.67 at near ceiling unit but is 1.2 and 3.3 at far from ceiling unit. The PMV of total classroom showed the range of 'Cold' and 'Slightly Cold.' Therefore, to achieve comfort condition in the classroom is equipped with ceiling unit, the location of ceiling unit and discharge angle and discharge distance from ceiling unit are very important elements.
