Linear Algebra Teaching in the Digital Age (디지털 시대의 대학수학교육: 선형대수학을 중심으로)

  • The educational environment in the digital age of the 21st century definitely affects teaching and learning methods to be changed. In addition, the perceptions and methods of mathematics education in the digital age have also been changing. This study proposes a university mathematics education model suitable for the digital age, which makes full use of the internet/digital environment and leads the students to participate in the learning processes. We apply the proposed model to Linear Algebra course, and present a concrete method of teaching and learning model including evaluation. This will be the first study on how to organize and operate digital courses in Korea in accordance with the mathematics education in the digital era which is rapidly spreading around the world.

  • The need for Maker Education has received attention as an educational environment for cultivating the active and creative ability that can solve new problems in this era, and it is applied in various educational fields. Many of them use Design Thinking as a stage of maker activities. However, the educational value of each concept has not been magnified, since maker programs are designed by simply borrowing steps without considering the similar but different features of them. Therefore, this study developed a model of Maker Education utilizing Design Thinking based on complementary relationships. To this end, formative research methodology was conducted by the following procedures, developing a draft, conducting a formative evaluation, and completing the final model. As a result, the stages of Maker Education were visualized and detailed activities and instructing strategies in each step by reflecting the features of Maker Education, the autonomy of the learner and producing visible outputs using various tools and materials, and Design Thinking, the specific process of solving problems and enabling social participation.

  • CS Unplugged education is emphasized as the component of the basic principles of Elementary SW education. This document produced by two other Timbell presents the contents in a variety of topics about computer science. One of the main components is the finite Automata, and this requires the development of educational materials for teaching our situation. So We'll present the finite Automata learning materials for elementary school classes. Learning model that we have presented is a process of self-directed and activity-based learning. For verification of this experiment was the validation of the expert group and was concluded that adequate through the analysis of the diagnostic tests.

Effects of cooperative Blended learning in secondary science instruction (중학교 과학 수업의 온.오프라인 혼합 협동학습 효과)

  • 이 연구는 중학교 과학 수업의 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습에 대한 효과를 검증해 보고자 하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 먼저 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습과 관련된 문헌 고찰을 통해 연구의 수행에 필요한 이론적 기반을 마련하였다. 중학교 1학년 과학 내용 중에서 연구 단원을 선정하여 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습 모형을 제시하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 김포시에 위치한 'K'중학교 1학년 학생들 중에서 사전 학업성취도 검사와 학습태도 검사에 의해 동질집단으로 확인된 2개 학습 79명이다. 연구대상 중 1개 학습 40명을 실험대상으로 선정하여 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습의 실험을 실시하고 통제집단에는 기존의 면대면 협동학습을 실시하였으며 실험이 끝난 후 두 집단의 학업성취도 및 학습태도 변화 차이를 비교 분석하였다. 결과 분석은 SPSS Ver.12.0을 이용하였으며 학업성취도는 다변량 분산분석(MANOVA)을 하였고, 학습태도는 독립표본 t검정을 통해 분석하였다. 분석한 연구의 결과 첫째, 중학교 과학 수업에서 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습은 면대면 협동학습과 학업성취도에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 또한 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습 실험집단이 면대면 협동학습 통제집단보다 학업성취도의 하위 영역 중 기억 영역에 그 효과성이 두드러짐을 확인하였다. 둘째, 중학교 과학 수업에서 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습은 면대면 협동학습과 학습태도에서 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 연구 결과를 토대로 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습은 첫째, 학습자들로 하여금 자료 수집, 분석, 정리 단계에서 정보의 공유를 통해 적극적으로 학습을 유도하였다고 예측할 수 있다. 이는 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습이 면대면 협동학습보다 학업성취도 향상에 효과적인 교수학습 방안으로 제시될 수 있음을 의미한다. 둘째, 중학교 과학수업에서 온 오프라인 혼합 협동학습은 학습자의 학습태도에 효과적이라고 확신할 수 없다. 따라서 학습자의 교과에 대한 학습태도의 향상을 위해서는 교수 학습방법을 다각화하고 교과와 학습목표에 맞는 적절한 학습방법의 지속적 활용이 중요하다고 판단된다.

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of problem solving models and middle school students' recognition inproblem solving activities and to get implications of problem solving activities in science education. We took the position of problem solving as consisting of four sequential stages: search of problems, performance of the plan, presentation of results, and evaluation of the presentation. Taking into account thechosen activity factors for each stage of problem solving, we developed detailed activity tools that are supposed to guide the stage. Recognition of problem solving activities in 7th grade middle school students were positive. Students felt that problem solvingactivities made them engage more and interested in science classes, and that they were helpful in solving problems in everyday life. Even though they found real problems in everyday life, they preferred problem solving activities to deal with real problems rather than simple minded ones.

  • Applying iterative learning utilizing SNS & Community to the class for pre-kindergarten teachers, the effectiveness of teaching satisfaction, self-efficacy, and curriculum understanding was verified. A iterative learning model utilizing SNS & Community in teachers leading traditional off-line teaching at college education field was applied separately into thinking to one-self by advance organizer, thinking together by presentation in the beginning of the class, and sharing the thoughts by community activities after the class. Iterative learning begins by being sent SNS to students from teachers before the class, but learners for themselves subsequently start to proceed self-directed learning activities. As a result, class satisfaction and understanding of pedagogy have been increased, and it had a positive influence on self-efficacy. Thus, it is to suggest utilizable SNS of professors and a teaching method utilizing Community to college students who need basic learning skills.

  • In this paper, we design a semantic-based syllabus template including learning ontologies. A syllabus has been considered as a important blueprint of teaching in universities. However, the current syllabus has no importance in real world because most of all syllabus management systems provide simple functionalities such as, creation, modification, and retrieval. In this paper, our approach consists of definition of hierarchical structure of syllabus and semantic relationships of syllabuses, formalization of learning goals, learning activity, and learning evaluation using Bloom's taxonomy and design of learning subject ontologies for improving the usability of syllabus. We prove the correctness of our proposed methods according to implementing a real syllabus for JAVA programing course and experiments for retrieving syllabuses.

  • The education of radiological technology in Korea is provided lots of information but are low effectiveness of studying due to attach importance to traditional lecture preparing for the national exam of radiological technologist. With a critique about traditional education, a new method of teaching, PBL(Problem based learning) can meet with the workplace through problems and see the real world of occupation objectively taking part in a self-directed learning and cooperative discussion process. And when become a radiological technologist as a member of current society can build up solving problems and ability of communicative competence. We suggest problem-based learning for the education of radiological technologist, hope to see make for cultivating radiological technologist of ability and improve the quality of education.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the major areas that will have to be considered in designing the Blended Learning in university class, and to provide an actual aid to the instructors that intends to design and practice the 'Blended Learning' by developing a practical and the 'Prescribing Blended Learning Design Model' on the basis of real precedent cases. In order to accomplish above study problems, I established the following study problems, and I have results by study problems. a. The major domain for designing the 'prescribed blended learning' for university class application was set up. b. The 'prescribed blended learning design process' for university class application and its character classified by each stages was presented. c. The 'prescribed blended learning design model' synthesized the blended learning design process and its character was presented. To carry out above problems, I have accomplished a literature study, investigation study, and formative precedent study.

  • I'd like to introduce a teaching method to improve learning efficiency. Most students are likely to ignore what they don't understand in the class of a course. The subject of Occlusion is essential to understanding prosthodontic and orthodontic subjects. It is necessary to let students know and review what they don't understand among parts of a chapter in the course of Occlusion. Therefore I look over the examination papers after every examination and input the problems that each student didn't solve into the C-language computer program and print the list of the contents that each student must study particularly. I give the lists to students and let them review and present their own weak parts of a chapter in the course of Occlusion in the next class. This teaching method leads to improvement in learning and is helpful to students as well as lecturers.
