  • The curriculum in primary and secondary school is at the heart of the education. In education, a curriculum is broadly defined as the comprehensive plan consisting of educational goal and objectives, instructional content, materials, teaching and learning method. Many countries has national level curricula in primary and secondary education, such as the Korea. Korean national curriculum has been revised 10 times. Currently, '2015 revised curriculum' is applied in korea. On the other hand, the Korean library association developed called a 'Library and information life' curriculum for information literacy instruction in 2007. However, this curriculum is based on the '2007 revised national curriculum', so it differs from the system and contents structure of the '2015 revised national curriculum'. Since the primary and secondary school applying the '2015 revised national curriculum', 'Library and information life' curriculum should be revised. Therefore, this study suggests the direction of revising the 'Library and information life' curriculum after comparing and analyzing '2015 revised curriculum' and 'Library and information life' curriculum.

  • Although the importance of literacy in Artificial Intelligence (AI) education is increasing, there is a lack of testing tools for measuring such competency. To address this gap, this study developed a testing tool that measures AI literacy among middle school students. This goal was achieved through the establishment of an expert group that was enlisted to determine the relevant factors and items covered by the proposed tool. To verify the reliability and validity of the developed tool, a field review, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted. These procedures resulted in a testing tool comprising six domains that encompass 30 items. The domains are the social impact of AI (eight items), the understanding of AI (six items), AI execution plans (five items), problem solving with AI (five items), data literacy (four items), and AI ethics (two questions). The items are to be rated using a five-point Likert scale. The internal consistency of the tool was .970 (total), while that of the domains ranged from .861 to .939. This study can serve as reference for developing the analysis of AI literacy, teaching and learning, and evaluation in AI education.

  • In this paper, we developed a design thinking-based artificial intelligence education program for middle school students and applied it to verify the impact on creative problem-solving skills. The inspection tool used the Creative Problem Solving Profile Inventory (CPSPI), an inspection tool for measuring creative thinking type ability based on the CPS theory of Hwasun Lee, Jungmin Pyo, Insoo Choe(2014). CPSPI included the steps of evaluating cognitive preferences and cognitive abilities by supplementing the limitations of existing tests, and sharing and persuading one's ideas with others. Before and after applying the design thinking-based artificial intelligence education program, as a result of analyzing the creative problem-solving ability, it increased significantly in all areas. As a result of analyzing the creative problem-solving ability of middle school students, significant results were found in the areas of Problem Detection and Analysis, Idea Generation, Action plan, Execution, Persuasion and Communication. The effect of design thinking was confirmed as a teaching and learning method to improve creative problem-solving ability in artificial intelligence education.
