Exploring the Latent Classes in Students' Executive Function Difficulty by Mother and Teacher: Multivariate Analysis across School Adaption and Academic Performance (초등학생의 집행기능곤란에 대한 어머니와 담임교사 평정에 따른 잠재집단 탐색 및 학교적응, 학업수행 차이 검증)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify latent classes in executive function difficulty of first graders depends on evaluations from their mother and teacher and to investigate how its related with their school adaption and academic performance in second grade. Based on the model of the latent profile analysis, the 8th and 9th wave data from Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey were analyzed. The results of this study were as following. First, results showed that there were three types of latent classes in the executive function difficulty depend on evaluations from their mother and teacher: 'low executive function,' 'students who were highly evaluated by mother,' and 'students who were highly evaluated by teacher.' Second, students' executive function difficulty had a direct effect on the students' school adaption and academic performance in their second year of school. Especially students who were evaluated as having the lowest executive function difficulty showed significant higher means than students who were evaluated higher by mother and teacher. This study emphasized the importance of multiple evaluation in students' executive function difficulty to provide an educational intervention.

The Influence of Social Support Perceived through SNS on Teachers' Adult Attachment and Occupational Satisfaction (SNS를 통해 지각된 사회적 지지가 교사의 성인애착과 직무만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the influence of social support perceived through SNS on teachers' adult attachment and occupational satisfaction. In order to do so, survey was conducted on teachers and a total of 103 sets of responses were used for final analysis. As a result of the study on social support perceived through SNS, with regards to adult attachment, it was shown that emotional support, informational support, and instrumental support have influence on attachment anxiety. With regards to attachment avoidance, emotional support was shown to have statistically effective influence. In addition, with regards to influence of social support perceived through SNS on occupational satisfaction, it was shown that emotional support and informational support have effective influence on occupational satisfaction. In conclusion and discussion, the implications and limitations of this study were suggested.

Hope in Relation to Social Support in Adolescents (청소년이 지각한 사회적 지지자 희망에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine hope in relation to social support in adolescents. Four hundred adolescents at two middle schools and two high schools participated in Gwangju metropolitan city. Hope and social support were assessed using self-report questionnaires. Findings indicated that there were significant positive associations between social support and level of hope in adolescents. Adolescents' hope was influenced by gender, religious experience and social support. Specifically, informational support of parents and appraisal support of friends were the two most important factors in explaining hope of adolescents.

The Effects of Daycare Center Teachers' Perceptions about the Emotional Leadership of Principals and Organizational Culture on Their Job Satisfaction (어린이집 교사가 지각한 원장의 감성리더십과 조직문화가 직무만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the emotional leadership of principals and organizational culture perceived by daycare center teachers on their job satisfaction. The subjects were 366 teachers who worked in daycare centers. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the teachers considered the level of the principals' emotional leadership to be above average. The largest group of the teachers viewed the organizational culture of the daycare centers as a collective culture, followed by an innovative culture, a hierarchical culture and a rational culture. Finally, the teachers considered the level of their job satisfaction as above average. They were especially more satisfied with welfare benefits and pay, and they were relatively less satisfied with working environments. Second, emotional leadership of the principals and organizational culture perceived by daycare center teachers were positively correlated with their overall job satisfaction. Third, as a result of analyzing the effects of the emotional leadership of the principals and organizational culture perceived by daycare center teachers on their overall job satisfaction, principals' social capabilities were found to be most influential, followed by the collective culture and the innovative culture which were the sub-factors of organizational culture.

A Study on the Factors Affecting on Pre-Service Early Childhood Teachers' Adoption Intention of Robot-Based Education (예비유아교사의 로봇활용교육 수용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors affecting on pre-service early childhood teachers' adoption intention of Robot-based education. For this purpose, the survey was conducted on 259 college students and the collected data was analyzed using SPSS 23.0. T-test and one-way ANOVA were used to compare the differences of adoption intention and predictive factors according to pre-service early childhood teachers' background variables. In addition, multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to analyze influence of perceived ease of use, perceived efficacy, innovative will, and social effect on adoption intention. The results were found that adoption intention and predictive factors did not show any significant difference according to background variables and that perceived ease of use and perceived efficacy influenced on pre-service early childhood teachers' adoption intention. Moreover, innovative will and social effect had an effect on perceived ease of use and perceived ease of use and social effect had an effect on perceived efficacy.

Study on the Effectiveness of Human Rights Education Program for the Teachers in Community Child Center -Focused on Human Rights Sensitivity- (지역아동센터 교사를 위한 인권교육 프로그램의 효과성 - 인권감수성을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study to develop a human rights education program for improving human rights sensitivity of the teachers in community child center, and verify its effectiveness. For this purpose, pre-program and post-program analysis was conducted by using human rights sensitivity scale on 102 teachers working in community child center. The major results of this study is as follows: First, the teachers' human rights sensitivity was statistically improved. Second, the teachers' ability of situation perception, ability of consequence perception, and ability of consequence perception were statistically improved. Third, the teachers' human rights sensitivity on "the right not to be arrested illegally", "physical liberty of the disabled", "the right to labor by migrant workers", and "freedom from detention" was statistically improved. Based on the research results, practical implications and limitations were discussed for developing human rights education program.

The Relationship Between School Organizational Climate and Teacher Burnout: Focusing on the Latent Profile of School Organizational Climate Perceived by Special Education Teachers (학교조직풍토와 교사 소진의 관계: 특수교사가 지각한 학교조직풍토의 잠재프로파일을 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to identify how special education teachers perceive their school's organizational climate through latent profile analysis performed using Mplus, and determine whether there was a difference in the average teacher burnout rate between perception groups using three-step approaches. The participants were 312 special education teachers. The perception groups were identified as 'closed', 'laissez-faire', 'average', 'controlled', and 'autonomous.' The groups had different teacher burnout rates. The closed group had the highest rate, while the autonomous group had the lowest. This paper discusses the implications of these results for special education teacher burnout and school organizational climate, and suggests ideas for future studies.

Patterns of Childhood's Smart Media Literacy and Effect of Parents' and Teachers' Mediation (유년층의 스마트 미디어 리터러시 유형과 부모와 교사의 중재 영향)

  • This study is to identify different patterns of childhood's smart media literacy and to predict factors relating to smart media literacy behaviors. Also, the purpose of the present study is to examine parents' and teachers' mediation of childhood's smart media literacy. The data were collected from 400 elementary students in Korea and we presented two patterns of smart media literacy : perception literacy, critical literacy. The results showed positive relationships between perception literacy and parental active and passive mediation. And a teacher's active and passive mediation was positively associated with children's perception literacy. In addition, the results of this study showed that parental active and passive mediation also affected the critical literacy. It was found that there were significant differences in sociological characteristics like in gender, school year, spending time, a double income family on smart media literacy. This suggests that a parent's active and passive mediation may lead to activate children's smart media use.

An Investigation of the Predictability of Variables Related to Kindergarten Preservice Teachers' Technology Intention to Use (예비유아교사들의 테크놀로지 활용의도 관련변인 간의 관계 규명)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the predictability of variables among technology easy to use, perceived usefulness, and technostress that had impacts on kindergarten preservice teachers' technology intention to use. For this study, the survey data collected by 64 students who were enrolled in the kindergarten preservice teacher education were analysed by using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study showed as follows. First, technology easy to use significantly affected perceived usefulness. Second, technology easy to use negatively affected technostress. Third, perceived usefulness significantly affected technology intention to use while technostress negatively affected it. From this results, it is revealed that various technology training opportunities would be provided for improving preservice teachers' technology intention to use and lessing preservice teachers' technostress. Furthermore, effective teaching-learning strategies for utilizing technology as an educational media should be developed in the early childhood educational environment.
