  • Today's communication needs the super high-speed data transmission system to send many data rapidly, correctly, and simultaneously because of the increase of internet use, the demand of multimedia service and so on. Before long, the super high data service will be offered us by a satellite called platform which will be located at stratosphere of 20[km]over earth. It is possible to build the optical wireless communication networks which have the high data-tarrying capacity because this system use a laser. But, there are many problems to overcome because it make use of the atmospheric space as transmission channel. In this paper, therefore, we study up on the relations of data rates, bit error rates, and turbulent effects of atmosphere to present the effects of atmosphere to present the effects of atmospheric turbulence on the optical satcom link.

  • In this paper, we demonstrate that indoor wireless optical communication is possible with lighting LEDs without a photo diode or a solar cell. A LED is used for both light emitting and light signal detection. This scheme is very useful because transmission is possible without any additional communication systems. In experiments, wireless optical communication will be carried out at a higher signal frequency of 5MHz using a lighting LEDs with both light emitting and light detection characteristics in the future.

  • A receiver ASIC for fiber optic modules of STM-1 optical communication has been fabricated with 0.65 $\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. The ASIC has a limit amplifier circuit for the 155.52 Mbps data reshaping, and a clock extraction circuit for the 155.52 MHz clock recovery. The ASIC has an acquisition aid and LOS monitoring circuit for properly operation with near 155.52 MHz clock frequency in case of the data loss due to transmission line open or data transfer fail. Measured results show that the circuit reshapes data from 5 mV to 1 V wide range of input voltage condition, add it recovers system clock with stable on any condition.

  • In this paper, a novel 622Mbps burst-mode clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit is proposed for passive optical network (PON) applications. The CDR circuits are implemented with 0.35um CMOS process technology. Locking dynamics is accomplished with instantaneous feature and data are sampled at an optimal timing. This is realized by seven different delay configurations, which are generated from precisely-controlled delay buffers. The experimental results show that the proposed CDR circuits are operating as expected, recovering an incoming 622Mbps burst-mode input data without errors.

  • 본 논문에서는 고밀도 광 기록 시스템에서 코드율이 2/3인 (1,7) 코드를 사용하여 부분 응답의 목표를 다양하게 변화시켜 여러 가지 목표 응답에 대해 잡음의 대부분을 차지하는 지터(jitter) 성분만을 고려했을 때와 이에 부가적인 백색잡음(AWGN)만을 고려하였을 경우의 성능을 각각 비교, 분석하였다. 또한, 이 실험 결과를 토대로 고밀도 광 기록 채널에 적용시킬 수 있는 가능한 부분 응답들을 조사하였고, 그 결과 PR(6,6,8,4,3) ML 코드가 고밀도 기록 시스템에서 좋은 데이터 검출 능력을 나타냄을 보였다.

  • 이 논문은 채널당 1Gbps로 동작하는 10채널 광 수신기를 0.25$mu extrm{m}$ CMOS공정을 이용하여 설계한 것이다. 광 수신기는 크게 2부분으로 나눠지는데 첫 번째 부분은 입력된 전류 신호를 전압 신호로 변환시켜주는 역할을 하는 트랜스임피던스 전치증폭기이고, 다음 부분은 원하는 디지털 레벨로 풀스윙 할 수 있도록 하는 후치증폭기이다. 전치증폭기의 출력 전압은 스윙폭에 무관하게 그 다음 단에서 적당한 디지털 레벨 데이터로 변환되어야한다. (중략)

  • 가시광 무선 통신 기술은 LED의 반도체 특성을 이용하여 디지털 신호를 송신하고, 빛의 유무를 판단할 수 있는 PD를 이용하여 광전 변환을 통해 디지털 데이터를 수신할 수 있는 차세대 무선 통신 기술로 평가받고 있으며, 이에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본고에서는 특히 가시광 무선 통신 기술을 활용할 수 있는 응용서비스 분야를 설명하고, 특히 실내/실외 위치 측정 기술의 국내외 연구 동향에 대해 소개한다.

  • In this paper, a transceiver of VLC (Visible Light Communication) using LED white lighting has been implemented. We analyzed differences between conventional wireless communication and VLC with high-speed data transmission in a variety of environments, and confirmed symbols which passed through a channel using QAM. In order to get a high data rate, we found some variables that should be considered essentially though experiments. In addition, we set a bandwidth and found an optimal gain according to the distance between transmitter and receiver. We analyzed proposed system model through Labview and finally showed a system performance and to efficient data transmission and detection for VLC, we apply the orthogonal sequences to VLC system.

  • Solar heat flux data is needed for thermal load prediction of launch vehicle. In order to predict the solar flux, several solar flux models have been compared and a new model is developed. Most of the models can predict well the direct solar flux, but show some errors in the scattered solar flux. The newly developed model considered isotropic and anisotropic scattered solar fluxes, and the predicted solar flux agreed well with the measured. Because the present model can be used at any longitude, latitude, day and altitude, the model would be an useful tool to predict the thermal load of the launch vehicle and the vehicles which have to consider the solar heat.
