In this paper, the performances of representative high resolution direction finding algorithms are evaluated and compared in wideband mobile environments. The angular spread phenomenon in mobile environments is first investigated and then a vector channel model for wideband OFDMA signals is derived. A direction finding system architecture for OFDMA smart antenna systems is proposed and finally the performances of high resolution direction finding algorithms are evaluated in wideband mobile environments by taking the WiBro system as a target system.

Wideband speech communications with 7㎑ bandwidth can provide high-quality speech services that are almost impossible with current narrow-band speech communications with 3.4 ㎑ bandwidth, and AMR wideband codec was recently developed for these services. The performance of AMR wideband codec is excellent due to its wideband information and partially to ACELP structure, but it requires high computational complexity especially in codebook search. In this paper, to solve this problem, an efficient codebook search method for AMR wideband codec is proposed. The proposed method first determines the coarse initial codevector, then improves the performance of codevector by replacing a poor pulse in codevector with better one iteratively. Simulations show that AMR wideband codec with proposed codebook search method has higher performance with much less computational cost than conventional AMR wideband codec.

We describe and anlayzes the methodology and implementation results of H / W configuration and signal characteristics analysis algorithm for analyzing equipment for analyzing OFDMA physical layer based on 802.16e. Recently, demand for signal analysis of instruments that analyze these signals with the development of digital communication signals is rapidly increasing. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop signal analysis equipment capable of analyzing characteristics of a broadband communication signal using a wideband digital signal processing module. In this paper, we have studied the basic theory of OFDMA in order to devise a device capable of analyzing characterisitcs of broadband communication signals. Second, the structure of OFDMA transmitter/receiver was examined. Third, a wideband digitizer was implemented. we design Wimax signal analysis algorithm based on OFDMA among broadband communication methods and propose Wimax physical layer analysis S/W implementation through I, Q signals. The IF downconverter used the receiver module and the LO generation module of the spectrum analyzer. Quantitative analysis result is obtained through the algorithm of Wimax signal analysis by I, Q data.

전 세계의 인구와 도시가 점점 증가함에 따라 매년 각종 범죄를 비롯한 사건사고와 가상이변, 홍수, 지진 등과 같은 자연재해가 증가하고 있다. 따라서 공공의 안전과 재난상황에서 구조를 위한 새로운 통신의 필요성이 급증하게 되었다. 모바일 광대역 공공안전(Public Safety) 통신은 여러 지역에서 다양한 사고와 재난이 발생하였을 때, 응급현장에서의 지시나 관리의 책임을 지는 기관에서 사용하는 전파통신을 의미한다. 이를 활용하면 더욱 효율적이고 체계적으로 공공의 안전을 위협하는 상황에 대한 대응능력을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 따라서 관련 시장 역시 급격히 성장할 것으로 전망되고 있다. 본고에서는 모바일 광대역 공공안전 통신시장의 규모와 흐름을 살펴보고 공공안전과 재난구조 활동의 발전을 위한 무선통신망 구축의 방안에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

기존의 마이크로파 대역의 전송 용량이 포화상태가 됨에 따라, 더 넓은 주파수 대역의 초 광대역에 대한 시스템의 요구가 커져가고 있다. 따라서, UWB(Ultra Wide Bnd)를 이용한 기술은, 향후 무선 통신망에서의 멀티미디어 통신을 가능하게 할 광대역 무선 통신 시스템의 기술로 발전하고 있다. 이러한 UWB 기술과 fiber-optic 기술과의 접속은, 더 넓은 주파수 대역의 제공, 다 많은 전소 용량 및 저잔송 손실이라는 측면에서 큰 장점을 가지고 있다. 그래서, Radio-on-fiber 시스템을 위한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있는 추세이다. 최근들어, 음성, 데이터, 영상을 포함한 멀티미디어 통신에 대한 요구가 증가되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 부응하기 위한 방법이 광대역 통신인데, 광통신이 하나의 방법으로 대두되고 있으며, 기존의 마이크로파 대역의 전송량이포화 상태로 됨에 따라, 더 넓은 주파수 대역의 UWB 대역의 시스템에 대한 요구가 커져가고 있다. 따라서, HS 논문에서는 이러한 UWB의 신호 생성을 위한 광 주입 방법을 제안하고 시스템의 평가를 위해 전송거리에 대한 CNR(Carrier-to-Noise Ratio)에 대한 페널티를 분석하였다.

Recently, environment facilities are able to manage real-time data collection and record management through integrated broadband modem LAN switching technology. Therefore, it need more stable and efficient facility management. So, we required practical use of environmental facilities convergence based on broadband integrated modem. In this paper, we proposed an integrated broadband modem LAN switching technology which can applicable to the environment facility. Also, we presented integrated broadband modem of design plan and communication system. And it received data inside of environment facility using the two communication methods(IEEE802.11x and IEEE802.15.4x). Then, our proposed integrated broadband modem LAN switching technology will prioritize processing data when emergency happen through collecting data, analysis data and processing. Lastly, we proved usefulness by experiment and simulation analysis.

21세기에 접어들면서 통신서비스의 새로운 조류는 단연 "Convergence"이다. 기존의 서비스들은 개개의 서비스 매체에 따른 개별망을 통해 제공되어왔으나, 광대역 인터넷의 대중화로 인해 IP 기반으로 발전하고 있으며, 궁극적으로는 가입자 단말기, 유무선 액세스망, 서비스 핵심망, 서비스 플랫폼이 IP기반으로 발전될 전망이다. 이러한 통신 패러다임의 변화에 따라, 급변하는 통신환경의 변화에 적응하고 보다 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 하나의 공통된 Network하에 제공하고자 하는 움직임이 Broadband Convergency Network(BCN : 이하 BCN)이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 궁극적인 광대역 통합망을 통한 멀터미디어 서비스 제공의 시발점은 광대역 IP망을 통한 음성 및 데이터 통합 서비스(이하 인터넷전화)라 볼 수 있으며 인터넷전화와 BCN은 분리시켜 생각할 수 없는 이유 중의 하나이다. 그러면 "인터넷전화로 시작되는 BCN은 사업자 및 이용자측면에서 어떠한 의미를 갖는가\ulcorner"를 살펴보기로 한다.(중략)

재난은 다양한 원인에 의하여 예측 불가능하게 발생되고 있다. 정보화의 진전에 따라 네트워크는 모든 경제활동의 근간이 되어 있으며, 재난이 발생하면 재난복구 및 구난 활동 등에 통신기능의 활용도가 더욱 높아진다. 특히 통신 장애를 일으키는 통신재난이 발생하면 그 파급효과는 빠르고, 넓게 확산되는 경향을 보인다. 본 고에서는 표준단체에서 비상통신과 관련하여 표준화 활동을 수행하고 있는 동향을 살펴보고 비상통신서비스를 제공하기 위한 기능요구사항 및 광대역통합망 구축 시 비상통신서비스를 제공하기 위해서 고려해야 할 기능에 대해서 기술한다.

General microstrip patch antenna has small bandwidth. If corner of a patch antenna is properly cutted to be triangular shape, then input impedance of patch antenna should be varied. Using this characteristic wideband patch antenna can be implemented. In this paper, wideband microstrip patch antenna operating in 2.4GHz ISM band is investigated through tracking variation of input impedance corresponding to cutting shape of patch antenna.

국내 이동전화 무선인터넷 시장은 성장기와 도약기를 동시에 맞이하고 있다. 이동전화무선인터넷은 이동전화 지불 ARPU의 19%를 상회할 정도로 급성장을 거듭해 왔으며HSDPA와 와이브로의 광대역 무선인터넷으로 도약이 추진되고 있다. 이에 국내 무선인터넷의 지속적인 성장을 위해서는 사업자의 적극적 투자, 가치사슬 전 영역에서의 참여, 킬러 서비스의 개발을 통해 광대역 무선인터넷으로 가입자의 조기 전환이 핵심 관건이 된다. 이에 본 고에서는 시장조사 결과를 바탕으로 국내 이동전화 무선인터넷 가입자의 광대역 무선인터넷으로의 전환행동을 전망하고 전환행동에 영향을 주는 요인들을 규명하고자 하였다. 그리고 결론에서는 국내 광대역 무선인터넷이 조기에 활성화되기 위한 방향을 제언하였다.
