Fan Noise Prediction Method of Air Cooling System (공기 냉각 시스템의 홴 소음 예측 기법)

  • Fan noise prediction method is presented for air conditioning, automobile and electronic cooling system applications where fan acts as an internal equipment having very complicated flow interaction with other various system components. The internal flow paths and distribution in the fan-applied systems such as computer or air conditioner are analyzed by using the FNM(flow network modeling). Fan noise prediction method comprises two models for the discrete frequency noise due to rotating steady aerodynamic lift and blade interaction and for the broadband noise due to turbulent boundary layer and wake vortex shedding. Based on the fan operation point predicted from the FNM analysis results and fan design parameters, the present far noise model predicts overall sound pressure level and spectrum. The predictions for the flow distribution, the fan operation and the noise level in air cooling system by the present method are well agreed with 3-D CFD and actual noise test results.

Experimental Study and Evaluation Method for Sloshing Noise of Fuel Tank on Passenger Vehicle (승용차량용 연료탱크 슬로싱 현상에 대한 실험적 고찰 및 평가 방법에 대한 연구)

  • The signal patterns of slosh noise produced by the fuel tank of a passenger vehicle are characterized by analyzing vehicle interior noise, fuel tank vibration, and near-field noise radiated from the fuel tank. This paper also shows the noise transfer path analysis results performed from the fuel tank to the vehicle inside. On top of them, physical index is described, demonstrating a good correlation with subjective feeling of slosh noise. It is essential to identify the main noise transfer paths for redesigning of the fuel tank system aiming at reducing slosh noise and also helpful to apply physical index in evaluating and reducing this noise. It is found that structure-borne path is the main root of slosh noise and a value reveals a good correlation with subjective feeling.

State-of-the-Art on the Indoor-Noise Characteristics of High Speed Train (고속전철의 실내소음특성에 관한 연구현황분석)

  • A high speed train named Korean High Speed Train (KHST) with its maximum operating speed 350 km/h is now under development. For the successful design of a quiet and comfortable high speed train, it is important to understand the general features of the noise and vibration characteristics of high speed train. This paper reviews extensively collected materials on the noise and vibration characteristics of existing high speed trains. Based on the noise and vibration characteristics of TGV systems, a simple indoor-noise prediction rule is proposed for the TGV-type high speed trains such as KHST The indoor-noise of KHST at 350km/h is expected to be larger than at least 71 dBA. Some important researches conducted for designing KHST during last two years under the G-7 project are also briefly introduced at the last part of this paper.

  • The acoustical characteristics of silencer has been investigated by experimental methods. The relations between various geometrical parameters, i.e. length, diameter, offset and twisting angle of silencers and transmission loss have been studied. The effect of mean flow on the transmission loss was also investigated. Results show that experimental decomposition of flow and sound is possible. Experimental results which take into account for the effect of mean flows provide the accurated data which have not been found in the literature.

  • Structure-bone noise is an important aspect to consider during the design and development of a vehicle. Reduction of structure-bone noise of the compartment in a vehicle is an important task in automotive engineering. Many methods which analyze transfer path of noise have been used for structure-bone noise. The existing method to measure of frequency response function of transfer path has been tested by removing a source. This Paper presents an experimental analysis about Transfer Path Analysis of the vehicle interior noise according to Excitation or not. To identify these points of difference, experiment were conducted through an experimental test using simulation vehicle.

  • 최근 자동차기술의 발달로 인한 차량의 경량화, 고급화 추세는 더욱 개선된 승차감을 요구하고 있다. 승차감에 영향을 미치는 주요인으로서는 엔진의 진동과 소음, 변속장치, 구동축 등의 구동 계통의 진동 및 소음, 그리고 노면으로부터의 진동, 외부 공기의 흐름에 의한 소음 등 여러가지가 있다. 엔진지지계는 이중 엔진의 진동 및 소음을 절연하는 기능을 맡고 있고 동시에 엔진하중의 지지, 변위제한, 충격흡수 등의 기능도 가지고 있다. 실제에 있어서 엔진지지계는 진동 및 소음 절연의 기능 외에 다른 기능도 갖고 있으나 이중 가장 어렵고 해석이 곤란한 것은 결국 진동절 연성능이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 여러 가지 제약조건이 있으므로 최적의 진동절연특성의 실 현이 항상 가능한 것은 아니고 방진고무의 특성치난 지지각도 등의 어느 범위안에서만 선택이 가능하므로 실제 설계에 있어서는 적용상의 특정조건을 만족시키는 초기설계치를 정하여 그때의 진동절연특성을 평가하고 기준이하일때는 설계치를 재조정하여 다시 평가하는 접근방식이 실질 적이다. 따라서 이 설계과정에 필요한 엔진지지계의 진동절연특성해석 및 평가용 컴퓨터 프로 그램을 개발하였으며 그 해석치와 실험결과를 비교하여 타당성을 입증하였다.

A Development of COS Holder to Reduce an Impact Ambient Noise (충격성 소음 감소용 COS 홀더 개발)

  • We are using COS to block the excess current and to protect the transformer. But the fuse of COS is melt due to the overload resulting from the excess current flows and it destroys an air severing relations to clear as strong arc happens. Such phenomenon induces an impact ambient noise and it gives the circumstance area resident or pedestrian the fear. Thus, it is necessary that we urgently need to control the ambient noise from the actual circumstances. In this study, we investigate the characteristic of an impact ambient noise associate with the melting state of the COS fuse and suggest the method to reduce the noise.

  • 오늘날 도시의 규모가 커지고 도시의 기능이 점점 복잡해진다. 또한, 도시에는 사람들이 많이 살고 있으며, 계속해서 도시로 사람들이 모이게 된다. 그러므로 도시에서의 삶은 서로 간에 점점 더 가까워지고 많은 부분에서 이웃 사람들과 연결되고 공간과 시간을 공유하게 된다. 특히, 사람들이 대중교통을 이용하면서 원하든 원치 않았든 많은 소리에 노출 되며, 그 소리에 대한 영향으로 서로 피해를 보기도 한다. 서울은 세계에서 가장 혼잡한 도시 중 하나이며, 이런 서울의 대중교통 중 마을버스는 좁은 골목길을 포함해 도로를 다니며 시민들의 공공의 이동을 담담하고 있다. 이 마을버스를 사용하는 사람들은 일반적으로 차량 내에서 좋은 승차감, 높은 공기질 및 적은 소음에서 이용하기를 원한다. 본 논문에서는 마을버스의 실내 소음에 대한 성가심도를 소음도 및 혼잡도에 관하여 분석한다. 그리고 이러한 상황별로 어떠한 경우에 성가심도가 높은지를 판단하고, 저감하는 방법을 마련하도록 하고자 한다. 분석결과 마을버스 내부 소음은 새 차와 오래된 차에서 큰 차이를 보이지 않았고, 성가심도 또한 도로 상황에 따른 소음의 정도에 민감한 반응을 보임을 확인하였다. 그래서 저감대안으로는 차량의 소음이 적게 발생 시키는 운전과, 차량의 정비 등을 제안하고자 한다.

An Experimental Study to Develop the Perforated Panel System for Noise Chamber (소음쳄버용 다공판 시스템 개발을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • The air conditioner system that is used in large structure, such as hospital, hotel, railway platform and train generate a high level noise generally. A chamber with sound absorbing materials, such as glass wool and polyurethane foam, are installed in this system to reduce the noise. However, these chambers cause environmental problems owing to the sound absorbing materials recently. Therefore, we develop noise chamber a built-in perforated panel resonance system as eco-friendly chamber to solve this problems. This noise chambers show the same noise reduction performance as the current chambers in the range above 500Hz. But, it reduces the noise up to 8dB(A) comparison to the current chambers in the range 200Hz~400Hz.

  • This paper is the experimental study to investigate the noise sources location in order to reduce the noise level of line flow fan for the air conditioner in the subway car. The noise of line flow fan is caused by various factors such as the turbulence by air flow, random noise, noise of blade passing frequence(681Hz) and noise due to structural vibration of rotor unbalance(28.4Hz) by motor revolution. By performing the noise reduction on each sound source, the noise level is decreased as much as 5.7dB(A) through the controls of housing guide angle and distance, the configuration changes of flow passage shape and rotor balancing.
