One of the most important paradigms in society has recently been a set of efforts to prepare for the future and to protect the environment by saving carbon that occurs in everyday life as well as in the industry. In order to successfully deal with this new paradigm, Korean government has adopted and implemented various policies including the green certification, the development of green technologies and green growth. Many agencies and organizations in both public and private sectors have established plans about the carbon savings and performed a lot of research using IT technology. For example, attempts have been made in Korea to use as electronic documents instead of paper documents using these green IT and mobile devices. This paper proposes a 'Paperless' waiting order count system using QR code and mobile phone as an example of green IT for 'Low carbon and Green growth'.

The elevator is extreme important due to the large size of the building and public facilities. In particular, it occurs bottleneck phenomenon in a elevator in case of using a theater. So, in this paper, we suggests technology of removing the traffics of visitors' movement and increase the efficiency of the use of elevator. Configuration of the proposed technique is divided parts of the processing unit, the movement route of the mobile cover to help viewers to create a route to collect sensor and the sensed data to detect state and a waiting elevator. This was the design and verification of technical performance and implementation.

Seismic safety is more important for large spatial structure such as theaters, stadiums, gymnasiums since these structure are public goods. It is, however, difficult to understand behavior taking place when large spatial structure which has variety of structural system and shape receives seismic load. On this study, the natural vibration mode of arch structure which is main structural element of the large spatial structure, is checked. And then, when the artificial earthquake ground motion is applied to arch structure, it is more affective by long period component than magnitude of design acceleration spectrum.

It is an undeniable that cultural landscape of Korea is centered in Seoul, where all the cultural powers are oriented. From this aspect, a municipal theatre of Daegu (Daegu Municipal Theatre), where is considered an area somewhat isolated from the perspective of culture, has managed to develop theoretical programs serving public purposes through efforts on the diversification of performance programs, development of creative plays, acceptance of open direction, classic, modern and experimental plays, foreign exchange, musicals and non-verbal, development of modern and post-modern history of the region, aggressive exploration of subjects, and characterization of the theater through citizen-participated programs and communication with citizens. With such efforts on diversification of public benefits and communality conforming to its purpose, it has been recognized for its contribution to the recovery of popularity of performance art and plays in Daegu. The Daegu Municipal Theatre, celebrating the 20th anniversary of establishment this year and having Choi Ju-Hwan as its fifth art director, has managed to conduct various experimental attempts to gain popularity and these include the exploration of the region and its historical figures, development and promotion of creative musicals, and promotion of communication between citizens and performance culture and of participation of audiences, in turn having a stabilized operation system. Such changes are seemed to be attributable to the maturity of performance production and roles of senior members. From this aspect, this study aims at investigating the changes in the Daegu Municipal Theatre and 'roles and popularity of national/public theatre companies.

This paper aims from various angles to examine the context of the problem situations that Jang Woo-Jae describes from contemporary korean society, to examine which chance of thinking is in this case given to the audience, and to examine whether through the plays in the theater this chance of thinking can be referred to public opinion. This study considers not only the contribution of Jang's thought experiment that is connected to the dramaturgical function including the aspects of dramatic form and content to dramatic effects for the audience, but also the possibility of an arrangement for a new way of thinking by the audience. Thus, Jang's thought experiment should be understood in connection with the whole message of his plays. And this study researches, how an new attention to the public nature of common world, which should be demanded for the sake of a mature civil society comes into existence within the point of contention in every play based on Jang's thought experiment. Finally this paper inspects through Jang's plays the possibility of contribution of performing art to contemporary korean society, and takes account of self-examination in meta-dimension of the theater regarding the role and meaning for the sake of human being and gemeinschaft.

This article was started to find a way for creating a performance out of Gut. In order to find such way, the first thing that had to be done was to organize the Gut performances that had been made until now. It was to organize the existing study on the performances and to seek a different way from it, believing that the virtue of a performance is to 'create diversity'. However, it was not easy to organize the Gut performances, which became full-scale in the 1980s, because they were never organized before. Therefore, based on my direct and indirect experience, I have organized the most important performances in chronological order. Most importantly, as the planners of the performances (can sometimes be a group or an organization instead of an individual) are the ones who make the show possible, I have noted on them with keen interest. The National Folk Art Performance Contests in Korea, Theater 'Space Sarang', The Association of Gut, Theater 'Madangsesil', Seoul Nori Madang, and National Gugak center were the center space and planning body of the Gut performances. Recording the history of Gut is a worthwhile work of its own. However, it is a substantial amount of task to be done with individual effort, and it has to be progressed as a public project in order to promote and spread its value. Therefore, this article raises the need for it. Meanwhile, as stated earlier, this article has recorded the history of Gut performances as a precondition to finding a way to create a performance out of Gut. From the experimental organization of the Gut performances history, I could find out that most of the performances had the people who did Gut as the main body and the method of the Gut performance did not significantly deviate from just reenacting the original Gut at the time of when it was performed. Therefore, I have introduced Shinmyeong, the Nori-Pae (troupe), and TheGwangdae, the Korean Traditional Performance troupe, who create Madangguk from various Gut materials. By refining the wholly complicated performance elements of the Gut, it could escape from the 'reenacting' performance to becoming a material or a metaphor for a whole new performance.

Media facades project images on the external walls of a building as a screen. Such facades can recover the cultural emotions of users tired of a high level of market competition in urban spaces and develop into urban aesthetics and be reinterpreted as an image design as the city becomes a topic as well as the target projected. From a cultural perspective, the artistic possibility and strengthening of publicness of media facades are discussed. One of the considerations is that it should be the medium communicating with the building or surrounding of the projected target. Urban landscape media facades, such as 2014 Gwanghwamun media facade, 2014 Sejong Center for the Performing Arts media facade and 2013 Namsan media facade were compared and analyzed. As a result, four types of image design components could be derived such as motifs, concepts, stories and projection types. Media facade, which is establishing itself as a new technological genre beyond canvas and theater screens, should contain messages, themes and technological advances as a higher level of the urban symbolic art form in the future. This paper derived the components of image design through the comparative analysis of symbolic urban landscape media facade.
