Trajectory and Attitude Analysis for the 1st Flight Test of KSLV-I Launch Vehicle (나로호 발사체 1차 비행시험에서의 궤적 및 자세 분석)

  • This paper presents the analysis results of trajectory, performance and attitude control based on the first flight data of the KSLV-I. The KSLV-I had a fairing separation problem and failed to inject spacecraft into the orbit. In this paper, the trajectory, flight performance, and attitude control was analyzed considering the influence of unseparated fairing. Moreover, the flight results and performance of the inertial navigation and guidance system were presented. As a results of post-flight analysis, any other problem besides the fairing separation problem was not happened and onboard equipment functioned normally.

  • In implant restorations, it is difficult for the patient to percept any symptoms. In addition, they are absent of shock absorbers, which can lead to mechanical failure if stress distribution is not considered. Since maxillary anterior multiple-implant restorations play a significant role in guiding the functional movement of the mandible by distributing lateral force, it is crucial to form appropriate occlusion. The use of the T-scan system is more advantageous in assessing 'dynamic occlusion', such as the change of occlusion over time, the amount of tooth contact during functional movement, and assessing the occlusion in the less-visible posterior teeth. The case is reported as it has satisfactory results in harmonious anterior guidance of a maxillary anterior multiple-implant restoration using T-scan analysis.

  • Maxillary canine impaction is a common eruption problem in children. Impaction frequently involves further complications such as root resorption of adjacent teeth, cyst formation and migration of the neighboring teeth, etc. Various treatment modalities include extraction of preceding deciduous canine, orthodontic traction, and surgical extraction followed by immediate replantation of the extracted tooth at the proper position(autotransplantation). Autotransplantation is considered as the treatment of choice when surgical exposure and subsequent orthodontic traction are difficult or impossible due to unfavorable impacted position. The prognosis of autotransplantation is affected by the degree of apex formation, surgical procedures performed, timing of root canal treatment, and length of stabilization period. In these two cases presented, the patients with unerupted maxillary canine were treated with autotransplantation. One case was thought that guidance of eruption by orthodontic traction was difficult because of its unfavorable impacted position. In the other case, parents didn't agree to treat by orthodontic traction, therefore autotransplantation was done. In both cases, autotransplantation was carried out following root canal treatment and orthodontic treatment, and both cases have demonstrated to be successful to this day.

Performance Analysis of the WDM Protocol for the Multicast Traffics (멀티캐스트 트래픽 처리를 위한 WDM 프로토콜의 성능분석)

  • In this paper, a dynamic minislot reservation protocol(DMRP) is proposed and analyzed to improve the performance of the multicast traffic processing in wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) networks. For the proposed protocol analysis, the WDM network architecture with a passive star coupler is used. One pair of transceiver is used for a control channel and the ocher pair of transceiver with one fixed transmitter and one tunable receiver are used for data transmission. In this protocol. the packets which fail to have successful transmission in the present time slot due to data channel and destination collisions, have priority to have successful reservation in the contention-less minislots of the next time slot. Therefore, protocols have improved the throughput and the system delay performance caused by the reduced probabilities of control channel contentions and destination collisions probability. Today, the efficient protocol that can handle the various types of data traffic is needed. As results, the DMRP is useful to improve the performance of throughput and system delay characteristics regardless of the kinds of traffic.

Reconstruction of failed fixed implant prosthesis accompanied by abutment screw loosening and fracture : A case report (나사풀림과 나사파절이 동반된 실패한 임플란트 고정성 보철물의 회복증례)

  • In the case of failed fixed implant prosthesis accompanied by abutment screw fracture, fractured screw fragment must be removed to use the existing implant fixtures. A 61-year-old male patient, who had a failed maxillary fixed implant prosthesis accompanied by three abutment screw fracture, hoped to reconstruct the maxillary implant prosthesis, while maintaining the existing implant fixtures. To use the existing implant fixtures, fractured screw fragments were removed. A maxillary implant overdenture using available existing implants was planned. Bar-attachment with Locator was used for implant splinting, denture stability, and retention. Final impression was taken after treatment of peri-implantitis. Jaw relation registration was taken to evaluate available interarch space for bar-attachment. After fabricating bar-attachment, centric relation was taken. Implant overdenture using bar-attachment with Locator was delivered after wax-denture evaluation. This case report showed that a satisfactory clinical result was achieved by implant overdenture using existing implant fixtures in a maxillary edentulous patient.

  • Periodontal tissue destroyed by inflammation is difficult to achieve regeneration of the tissue and esthetic restorations only by surgical methods. In particular, improvement of esthetics is more difficult if the problem is related to the implant. A 23 year old woman suffered from unesthetic anterior implant prosthesis. According to her dental history, a repeated bone graft and soft tissue graft failed at a local dental clinic. It was needed to resolve the inflammation and to improve the esthetics. A free gingival graft and ridge augmentation accompanied by guided bone regeneration and a vascularized interpositional periosteal connective tissue graft was performed. Instead of implant prosthesis, a conventional fixed bridge was adopted for better esthetic result. The patient was satisfied with the esthetic conventional fixed prosthesis. This case report introduces esthetic rehabilitation of unesthetic implant prosthetics in the maxillary anterior dentition by a combination of surgical and prosthetic approaches.

Chromosomal Analysis of the Human Oocytes Failed to Fertilize following Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) (정자 직접 주입법 (ICSI) 이후에 수정에 실패한 인간 난자에 대한 염색체 분석)

  • Despite the direct placement of sperm within the oocyte, fertilization failure still occurs after ICSI. This study was accomplished to analyze the chromosomes in oocytes failed to fertilize after ICSI comparing to oocytes failed to fertilize by conventional in vitro insemination. Seventy-four ICSI cycles and 122 conventional IVF cycles were included in analysis. Included unfertilized oocytes were from 74 patients (mean age = $32.7{\pm}3.7$). Ninety-three oocytes were informative and 83 oocytes were legible for cytogenetic analysis. Sixty-two oocytes out of 83 (74.7%) had normal chroruosomes, while 15 (18.1%) were hypoploidy, 6 (7.2%) were hyperploidy. Eighteen oocytes out of 93 (17.6%) were premature chromosome condensation (PCC). Two hundred ninety-four unfertilized oocytes after conventional insemination were subjected to chromosomal analysis and 180 oocytes were legible for analysis. One hundred thirty-two oocytes out of 180 (73.3%) were normal, while 22 (12.2%) were hypoploidy, 20 (11.1%) were hyperploidy, and 6 (3.3%) were polyploidy. Twenty-two oocytes (12.2%) were PCC. There was no difference in chromosomes between oocytes that failed to fertilize after ICSI or conventional insemination. High PCC rates in fertilization-failed oocytes suggest that oocytes maturity is another important factor in achieving successful fertilization.

A Main Memory-resident Multi-dimensional Index Structure Employing Partial-key and Compression Schemes (부분키 기법과 압축 기법을 혼용한 주기억장치 상주형 다차원 색인 구조)

  • Recently, to relieve the performance degradation caused by the bottleneck between CPU and main memory, cache conscious multi-dimensional index structures have been proposed. The ultimate goal of them is to reduce the space for entries so as to widen index trees and minimize the number of cache misses. The existing index structures can be classified into two approaches according to their entry reduction methods. One approach is to compress MBR keys by quantizing coordinate values to the fixed number of bits. The other approach is to store only the sides of minimum bounding regions (MBRs) that are different from their parents partially. In this paper, we propose a new index structure that exploits the properties of the both techniques. Then, we investigate the existing multi-dimensional index structures for main memory database system through experiments under the various work loads. We perform various experiments to show that our approach outperforms others.

수의학강좌 II: 최근 한우 성우에 제각대용으로 뿔커버를 시술한 요령, 사례 및 그 이점에 대해서

  • 일반적으로 알려져 있는 소에 있어서의 제각은 화학적인 소락제, 송아지 제각기 (tube calf dehorner), 전기인두, 톱 및 선거(線鋸; wire saw) 등을 이용하고 있으나, 제각 처치시 소에 많은 스트레스를 주고 있는 실정에 있다. 2001년도에 일본의 요우카이치시(四日市) 소재 냉동 및 냉장창고업을 하는 일신냉장고(주)에 근무하는 직원이 현내의 비육농장에서 제각하는 것을 보고, 생산자나 소비자로부터 이야기를 나누던 중, 점차적으로 소 사육농장에서 다두사육화가 되면서 우군 무리중에서 순위싸움으로 인해 외상을 입거나, 경쟁에 밀린 소는 사료를 제대로 먹지 못하여 스트레스를 받는 다는 것에 착안하여, 끝이 뾰쪽한 뿔에 복싱 글러브(boxing glove)와 같은 커버를 장착하면 제각을 하지 않고 소 본래의 자연체형을 유지한 체로 안심, 안전, 위험방지가 가능한 소의 뿔 커버를 연구개발하게 되었다. 최초로 제작된 소의 뿔 커버는 고무 특유의 수축작용을 이용해서 소의 뿔에 장착하였으나, 소의 큰 압력에 눌려 하루도 못가 각상피(角上皮)와 같이 탈락하였으며, 그 후 약 3년간은 실패를 거듭한 끝에 4년째인 2005년 봄에 의외의 장소에서 힌트를 얻었는 데, 귀가시 가족중 우연히 이가 빠졌는 것을 보고, 소의 각돌기(角突起)의 각첨부(角尖部)에 고정하는 방법을 생각하게 되었다. 연구를 시작하면서부터 NOSAI 수의사들, JA 동일본조합사료 수의사, 전농축산 서비스 등의 도움을 받았으며, 이후 오리온기업육성기술개발지원사업에 채택되어 4년여간의 연구를 한 끝에 약 30초의 부착시간이 걸리는 1회성의 영구적인 소의 뿔 커버를 특허개발(2005년)하여 2008년도부터 판매하기 시작하여 거세 화우, 교잡종 화우암소, 화우 암소 등에 일본 전역에서 보급되어 시술되고 있다. 최근 수개월전에 제가 아는 지인이 일본서 뿔 커버 2두분을 직접 구입하여 왔는 바, 직접 한우 경산우 암소 2두에 극히 간편하고 쉽게 시술하였기에 소개하여 도움을 주고 저 한다.

Tiny Drone Tracking with a Moving Camera (동적 카메라 환경에서의 소형 드론 추적 방법)

  • With the rapid development in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) and drones, higher request to development of a surveillance system for a drone is putting forward. Since surveillance systems with fixed cameras have a limited range, a development of surveillance systems with a moving camera applicable to PTZ(Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras is required. Selecting the features for object plays a critical role in tracking, and the object has to be represented by their shapes or appearances. Considering these conditions, in this paper, an object tracking method with optical flow is introduced to track a tiny drone with a moving camera. In addition, a tracking method combined with kalman filter is proposed to track continuously even when tracking is failed. Experiments are tested on sequences which have a target from the minimal 12 pixels to the maximal 56337 pixels, the proposed method achieves average precision of 175% improvement. Also, experimental results show the proposed method tracks a target which has a size of 12pixels.
