Evaluation for mechanical properties of high strength concrete by stressed test and stressed residual strength test - part 2 strain properties - (설계하중 사전재하 및 잔존강도 시험방법에 따른 고강도콘크리트의 고온특성 평가 - 제2보 변형특성을 중심으로 -)

  • The present study is aimed to study the effect of elevated temperatures ranging from 20 to $700^{\circ}C$ on the strain properties of high-strength concrete of 40, 60, 80MPa grade. In this study, the types of test were the stressed test and stressed residual test that the specimens are subjected to a 25% of ultimate compressive strength at room temperature and sustained during heating and when target temperature is reached, the specimens are loaded to failure. Or specimens are loaded to failure after 24hour cooling time. tests were conducted at various temperatures ($20{\sim}700^{\circ}C$) for concretes made with W/B ratios 46%, 32% and 25%. Test results showed that the relative values of elastic modulus decreased with increasing compressive strength grade of specimen and the axial strain at peak stress were influenced by the load before heating. thermal strain of concrete at high temperature was affected by the preload as well as the compressive strength.

  • 한전 전력연구원에서는 2009년 12월부터 125 kW급 용융탄산염 연료전지 발전시스템의 성능평가를 위한 운전이 진행되고 있다. 현재 진행 중인 "250 kW급 열병합 용융탄산염 연료전지 Proto Type개발" 과제의 최종시작품인 250 kW급 발전시스템은 125 kW급 MCFC 스택 2기로 설계되어, 125 kW급 시스템의 시험운전은 매우 중요한 기술적 성과가 될 것이다. 현재 125 kW급 MCFC 스택은 10,000 $cm^2$의 유효전극면적을 갖는 단위전지들로 구성되었으며, 적층 스택의 온도 및 농도분포의 최적화를 위해 내부 매니폴드 및 Co-flow Type 열교환기 기반의 분리판을 개발 적용하였다. 연료극의 전극 구성은 Ni-Al alloy로, 공기극의 전극 구성은 Lithiated-NiO로 이루어졌다. 그리고 매트릭스는 ${\alpha}-LiAlO_2$로 제작되었고, 전해질은 Li과 K Carbonate가 68 : 32 비율로 섞인 용융염을 사용하였다. 본 125 kW급 용융탄산염 연료전지 시스템의 운전평가는 고적층 스택의 온도 및 농도 분포를 확인하고, 최적화된 스택 운전 조건을 도출하는 것을 그 목적으로 하고 있다. 125kW급 스택 1기의 규모의 주변기기 시스템은 외부개질기, 촉매연소기, 이젝터, 고온순환 블로어 및 공기블로어 등으로 이루어져 있다. 고온형 연료전지 시스템에서 연료극과 공기극의 균일한 온도 및 압력 확보는 매우 중요하며, 이를 위하여 외부개질기 및 촉매연소기 연동을 통한 온도편차를 최소화하고, 기존 고온용 순환 블로어 대신 이젝터를 개발 도입하여 압력균형을 조절하였다. 125kW급 MCFC 시스템은 2009년 12월부터 전처리 운전을 시작하여 2010년 1월 말부터 PCS로 전기를 생산하고 있다. 평균전압 0.83V에서 100kW의 출력을 기록하였으며, 피크부하 120 kW, 누적출력량 30 MWh를 초과달성하였다.

  • Steel column is very important an structural element in steel framed building and plays a key role in sustataining the applied external load. Generally, the fire resistance performance of steel column has been executed by application of fire standard and vertical furnace having a limitation in height. Therefore, the fire resistance test was conducted with a H-section column having 3500 mm in length and hinge to hinge boundary condition. And the fire protective material derived from the fire test can be applied to any kind of boundary conditions and lengths. However, it is hard to determine the fire resistance. In this paper, to make sure the structural stability of them at high temperature according to various boundary conditions and lengths of H-section column, an analysis was done by using the mechanical properties and an heat transfer theory.

  • For a cooling performance research of the combustor operated in a extreme environment of a high temperature and high pressure, we accomplished a cooling performance analysis. Generally a heat transfer characteristic in cooling passage is known well experimentally and theoretically, however heat flux in the combustion chamber isn't. In this study, fluid flow combined with heat transfer and thermal structural analysis is accomplished about a combustor nozzle. We tried to analyze the cooling performance with a heat transfer characteristic of a gas and coolant side in the view point of quantity on the mass flow rate to be supplied to the cooling channel. And finally, evaluation on the thermal and structural safety of nozzle wall material was accomplished.

  • In large-scale production of hydrogen, a PHE (Process Heat Exchanger) is a key component because the heat required to carry out the Sulfur-Iodine chemical reaction that yields hydrogen is transferred from a VHTR (Very High Temperature Reactor) by the PHE. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute established a helium gas loop for conducting performance test of components that are used in the VHTR. In this study, as a part of high-temperature structural-integrity evaluation of a designed PHE prototype that is scheduled to be tested in the helium gas loop, we carried out high-temperature structural-analysis modeling, thermal analysis, and thermal-expansion analysis for the designed PHE prototype. An appropriate constraint condition is proposed at the end of the in-flow and out-flow pipelines of the primary and secondary coolants and the proposed constraint condition will be applied to the design of the performance-test loop setup for the designed PHE prototype.

Designing a Highly Sensitive Eddy Current Sensor for Evaluating Damage on Thermal Barrier Coating (열차폐코팅의 비파괴적 손상 평가를 위한 고감도 와전류 센서 설계)

  • A thermal barrier coating (TBC) has been widely applied to machine components working under high temperature as a thermal insulator owing to its critical financial and safety benefits to the industry. However, the nondestructive evaluation of TBC damage is not easy since sensing of the microscopic change that occurs on the TBC is required during an evaluation. We designed an eddy current probe for evaluating damage on a TBC based on the finite element method (FEM) and validated its performance through an experiment. An FEM analysis predicted the sensitivity of the probe, showing that impedance change increases as the TBC thermally degrades. In addition, the effect of the magnetic shield concentrating magnetic flux density was also observed. Finally, experimental validation showed good agreement with the simulation result.

  • SOFC(Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) is one of the high-temperature fuel cells, SOFC system and Stack has a high temperature operating Characteristics. These Characteristics cause a lot of trouble in the design of the system and selection materials, securing durability, and securing safety performance. Therefore, For Commercialization and Supply of SOFC, the development of safety performance assessment techniques and evaluation systems should go together. In this study, we analyzed the evaluation items of SOFC Safety performance standards and risk factors of the stack for design of stack safety performance evaluation system. Based on the analyzed data, the evaluation item was deducted for design of stack safety performance evaluation system. Through the results of this study, we expect to facilitate the supply of SOFC and contribute to a safe use environment.

  • This paper presents the tensile characteristics for carbon/epoxy, carbon/phenolic and silica/phenolic composites under elevated temperature, which are considered for vehicle structure or thermal protection materials. The tensile test was conducted with servo-hydraulic testing machine and high temperature furnace, and the mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio were evaluated by using high temperature strain gages. Also, they were compared each other with respect to fiber orientation and temperature effect. These test results were used for designing and analyzing some airframe structures with these composites.

  • 초전도 특성평가장치는 외부 인가 자장과 온도를 변화시켜 가며 고온 초전도 선재의 특성을 측정할 수 있는 장치이다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 설계된 초전도 특성평가장치용 마그네트에 대한 전자장 해석을 하였고, 이 마그네트에 iron을 설치하였을 때의 전자장 해석을 수행하였다. 전자장 해석을 통하여, iron을 설치하였을 때와 iron을 설치하지 않았을 때의 차이를 파악하도록 하였다. 그리고, iron의 두께에 따라 달라지는 자장 분포를 파악하여 초전도 특성평가장치에 iron을 설치하였을 때의 특성을 파악하도록 하였다.

  • U-City의 안전을 위하여 안전한 전기공급과 전기안전 점검과 전송에 필요한 전기IT 인프라는 중대한 요소이다. U-City의 건설에 필요한 전기IT기기의 설계와 개발 및 제조를 하고 Test-bed에 설치하여 성능 평가를 한 후에 검증을 맡은 전기IT기기를 U-City 설치하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 U-City 안전을 위한 전기IT기기에 대한 절연저항, 누설전류에 따르는 고온, 연기, Co2, 불꽃, 화재 등을 감지하는 센서를 부착하고, 발생할 수 있는 재난을 사전에 예방하기 위해 전기안전보호기술, 전기설비를 상시 감시할 수 있는 기반기술, 설비를 원격으로 관리할 수 있는 제품에 대한 성능평가와 시뮬레이션을 통해 U-City에 구축되려는 종합적인 전력통합감시시스템을 연구한다.
