A Design of The PHB Mapping Model for Combining Services with DiffServ in The MPLS Network (멀티 프로토콜 레벨 스위칭망에서 DiffServ와의 서비스 결합을 위한 PHB 매핑모델 설계)

  • This study proposed the PHB mapping model for combining services with DiffServ in the MPLS network capable of high-speed switching, and the effective differential bandwidth service model in the MPLS network on the basis of the proposed mapping model. The result of simulation on the service model using PRI showed that the transmission rate was achieved as much as the assigned bandwidth regardless of the increase of traffic as far as the EF PHB did not exceed the assigned bandwidth at the peak rate when the overall traffic increased.

  • Recently, fieldbus communication technologies have been widely deployed for industrial automation because they are profitable in providing easy system integration and management for multiple devices, as well as high-speed communication. It is essential for smart encoders to support fieldbus connectivity, where the device configuration and various types of information related to position are exchanged between an external controller and multiple encoders over the communication link. In this study, we implemented the CiA 406 device profile for smart encoders from the CANopen standards by extending an open-source CANopen standard-compliant framework, called CanFestival. The CiA 406 functionalities implemented in this study were validated on a test-bed consisting of a CANopen master and virtual CANopen encoders with our CiA 406 extension module.

  • As BigData is issued, many applications that operate based on the results of data analysis have been developed, typically applications are products recommend service of e-commerce application service system, search service on the search engine service and friend list recommend system of social network service. In this paper, we suggests a decision frequent pattern tree that is combined the origin frequent pattern tree that is mining similar pattern to appear in the data set of the existing data mining techniques and decision tree based on the theory of computer science. The decision frequent pattern tree algorithm improves about problem of frequent pattern tree that have to make some a lot's pattern so it is to hard to analyze about data. We also proposes to model for a Mapredue framework that is a programming model to help to operate in distributed environment.

  • As internet services are being provided through a wireless access, the importance of quality of experience (QoE) is stressed that is defined as the quality that indicates user's actual feeling when a service is provided. Unlike quality of service (QoS) that can be expressed as a numerical value, it is difficult to represent QoE in an objective way. If an internet service is serviced over a wireless channel, its QoE can be affected by a number of factors such as fading, mobility and so on. This paper, therefore, attempts to specify the relationship between QoE and QoS by conducting practical measurements for the voice service through 3G high speed packet access (HSPA) access network. Analysing the measured results, it has been shown that received signal strength indicator (RSSI) has a great influence on mean opinion score (MOS) through transmission delay.

  • This paper proposes a session key exchange scheme for providing secure communication between Vehicles and Infrastructure in VANET. In the current VANET environment, IEEE 802.11i or PKI based mechanism is used to provide secure communication between V2I. However, since the vehicles and the frequent changes of network topology, VANET nodes have some difficulties to exchange the session key using IEEE 802.11i or PKI method. In the proposed scheme, Local Router is newly defined for exchanging the session key between moving vehicles and infrastructure. A session key is generated by XOR operation based on the random values between Local Router and OBU. As a result, the proposed scheme has a noticeable advantage on the fastness of key exchange by exchanging session keys between LR and OBU.

  • Along with increasing of its subscribers and traffic for high-speed LTE service, it is widely expected to bring about the 2nd data explosion and results in any inconvenience of users. This paper proposes a smart traffic management scheme and its system design based on user's participating with the mobile application, in order to provide a fast and stable service for end users as well as to resolve the network overhead with increasing traffic. By making use of a time shift by users who want to reduce data usage amount and communication cost, the proposed scheme tries to reduce the peak traffic by shifting the delay-tolerant services, such as file sharing and software download, into the other time line. It also reduces the high volumed video traffics by transforming them into a user customized one. In addition, we suggest a mechanism to select video size and service time, then proposes an overall system design and its user service scenarios.

  • Grid computing, a mechanism which uses heterogeneous systems that are geographically distributed, draws attention as a new paradigm for the next generation operation of parallel and distributed computing. The importance of grid computing concerning communication cost is very huge because grid computing furnishes uses with integrated virtual computing service, in which a number of computer systems are connected by a high-speed network. Therefore, to reduce the execution time, the scheduling algorithm in grid environment should take communication cost into consideration as well as computing ability of resources. However, most scheduling algorithms have not only ignored the communication cost by assuming that all tasks were dealt in one cluster, but also did not consider the overhead of communication cost when the tasks were processed in a number of clusters. In this paper, the functions of original scheduling algorithms are analyzed. More importantly, the functions of algorithms are compared and analyzed with consideration of communication cost within the co allocation environment, in which a task is performed separately in many clusters.

Low Power Parallel Acquisition Scheme for UWB Systems (저전력 병렬탐색기법을 이용한 UWB시스템의 동기 획득)

  • In this paper, we propose a new parallel search algorithm to acquire synchronization for UWB(Ultra Wideband) systems that reduces computation of the correlation. The conventional synchronization acquisition algorithms check all the possible signal phases simultaneously using multiple correlators. However it reduces the acquisition time, it makes high power consumption owing to increasing of correlation. The proposed algorithm divides the preamble signal to input the correlator into an m-bit bunch. We check the result of the correlation at first stage of an m-bit bunch data and predict whether it has some synchronization acquisition information or not. Thus, it eliminates the unnecessary operation and save the number of correlation. We evaluate the proposed algorithm under the AWGN and the multi-Path channel model with MATLAB. The proposed parallel search scheme reduces number of the correlation 65% on the AWGN and 20% on the multi-path fading channel.

  • The Internet had been taken properties which were both a slow speed and low-bandwidth of the first time. It was impossible to transmit large multimedia data because of a Internet properties. After tens of Year Passed, many people began to transmit multimedia data in the Internet which had fast-speed and high-bandwidth. Some people want to team classes to be taught in school through the Internet. And, educators wish to use multimedia data in the educational field. Due to previous reasons, many parts in the educational field had tried to join real-time objects to multimedia objects. But, real-time data didn’t appear easily due to many faults like network errors and system bugs if we want to control data in order to teach and learn classes. Then, this paper separates real-time and unreal-time data and controls these data that aye made a time scheduler to have time information in the extended SMIL-file for deceasing these faults.
