The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of academic resilience, academic burnout and major satisfaction and to identify the influencing factors on major satisfaction of nursing students. Data were collected using questionnaires from 215 students who were in 3rd and 4th year of the nursing college in G city, from May to June 2019. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression with IBM SPSS 25.0 program. The study results showed that university students in nursing scored 3.71±.56 points for academic resilience, 2.96±.52 for academic burnout, 3.78±.54 for major satisfaction. The higher the academic Resilience, the lower the academic burnout and the higher the level of major satisfaction. The factors affection the relationship of academic resilience, academic burnout and major satisfaction are interpersonal relationships and admission motive which resulted in the major satisfaction level of 44.3%. In conclusion, to enhance major satisfaction for nursing students, efficient education program development is required considering the factors that explain the major satisfaction of nursing students. Also It should be considered that required the students' talent and aptitude. So it makes sure that this will require an advanced method of studying to students' capabilities.
Sea ice, frozen sea water, in the Artic is a primary indicator of global warming. Due to its importance to the climate system, shipping-route navigation, and fisheries, Arctic sea ice prediction has gained increased attention in various disciplines. Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI), motivated by a desire to develop more autonomous and efficient future predictions, have led to the development of new sea ice prediction models as alternatives to conventional numerical and statistical prediction models. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the two-stream convolutional long-and short-term memory (TS-ConvLSTM) AI model, which is designed for learning both global and local characteristics of the Arctic sea ice changes, for the minimum September Arctic sea ice from 2001 to 2021, and to show the possibility for an operational prediction system. Although the TS-ConvLSTM model generally increased the prediction performance as training data increased, predictability for the marginal ice zone, 5-50% concentration, showed a negative trend due to increasing first-year sea ice and warming. Additionally, a comparison of sea ice extent predicted by the TS-ConvLSTM with the median Sea Ice Outlooks (SIOs) submitted to the Sea Ice Prediction Network has been carried out. Unlike the TS-ConvLSTM, the median SIOs did not show notable improvements as time passed (i.e., the amount of training data increased). Although the TS-ConvLSTM model has shown the potential for the operational sea ice prediction system, learning more spatio-temporal patterns in the difficult-to-predict natural environment for the robust prediction system should be considered in future work.
Due to unpredictable climate change, the frequency of occurrence of water-related disasters and the scale of damage are also continuously increasing. In terms of disaster management, it is essential to identify the damaged area in a wide area and monitor for mid-term and long-term forecasting. In the field of water disasters, research on remote sensing technology using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite images for wide-area monitoring is being actively conducted. Time-series analysis for monitoring requires a complex preprocessing process that collects a large amount of images and considers the noisy radar characteristics, and for this, a considerable amount of time is required. With the recent development of cloud computing technology, many platforms capable of performing spatiotemporal analysis using satellite big data have been proposed. Google Earth Engine (GEE)is a representative platform that provides about 600 satellite data for free and enables semi real time space time analysis based on the analysis preparation data of satellite images. Therefore, in this study, immediate water disaster damage detection and mid to long term time series observation studies were conducted using GEE. Through the Otsu technique, which is mainly used for change detection, changes in river width and flood area due to river flooding were confirmed, centered on the torrential rains that occurred in 2020. In addition, in terms of disaster management, the change trend of the time series waterbody from 2018 to 2022 was confirmed. The short processing time through javascript based coding, and the strength of spatiotemporal analysis and result expression, are expected to enable use in the field of water disasters. In addition, it is expected that the field of application will be expanded through connection with various satellite bigdata in the future.
Recently, a number of deep-learning based land cover segmentation studies have been introduced. Some studies denoted that the performance of land cover segmentation deteriorated due to insufficient training data. In this study, we verified the improvement of land cover segmentation performance through data augmentation. U-Net was implemented for the segmentation model. And 2020 satellite-derived landcover dataset was utilized for the study data. The pixel accuracies were 0.905 and 0.923 for U-Net trained by original and augmented data respectively. And the mean F1 scores of those models were 0.720 and 0.775 respectively, indicating the better performance of data augmentation. In addition, F1 scores for building, road, paddy field, upland field, forest, and unclassified area class were 0.770, 0.568, 0.433, 0.455, 0.964, and 0.830 for the U-Net trained by original data. It is verified that data augmentation is effective in that the F1 scores of every class were improved to 0.838, 0.660, 0.791, 0.530, 0.969, and 0.860 respectively. Although, we applied data augmentation without considering class balances, we find that data augmentation can mitigate biased segmentation performance caused by data imbalance problems from the comparisons between the performances of two models. It is expected that this study would help to prove the importance and effectiveness of data augmentation in various image processing fields.
Gadolinium, commonly used as a contrast agent for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), is discharged into aquatic environments without removal after treatment in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) because of its high stability. In this study, we collected water samples from Suyeong WWTP, Busan, to investigate the dissolved rare earth element (REE) removal capacity of each wastewater treatment process and to evaluate the discharge of anthropogenic Gd (Gdanth) from effluents. As wastewater passed through each stage of treatment, the concentrations of light REEs (La-Eu) decreased, whereas those of heavy REEs (Tb-Lu) were relatively consistent. Negative Sm anomalies (<1) were observed in several samples, indicating that Sm can be removed by adsorption onto particles or phosphate during the biological removal process. Positive Gd anomalies (149±50, n=9) were observed in all samples. The ratios of Gdanth concentrations to measured Gd concentrations in all wastewater treatment processes were higher than 97%. This indicates that Gdanth was discharged to the Suyeong River without removal during the wastewater treatment process. Considering the daily treatment capacity in each process, the total flux of Gdanth was estimated to be 259 mmol/day. Our results suggest that mid- and/or long-term monitoring of Gd is needed because Gdanth is continuously discharged into Suyeong Bay through WWTPs.
This study is a descriptive research to investigate the, safety environment, and performance of nurses working in public medical institutions on standard precautions for infection, and to identify factors affecting the performance of standard precautions for infection. As for the research method, data were collected through a questionnaire on 192 nurses from two public medical institutions in S city and N city, and the results were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 22.0 statistical program. From the research results, there was a significant difference in the knowledge of standard precautions according to work experience, and there was a significant difference in the safety environment of standard precautions according to the position. The average level of knowledge of standard precautions was 21.98/25 points, the average safety environment was 5.68/7 points, and the average performance was 40.28/60 points. There was a significant positive correlation between the safety environment of standard precautions and the performance of standard precautions (r=.21, p<0.01). The affecting factor on the performance of standard precautions was found to be the safety environment of standard precautions(𝛽=.22, p=.003). Therefore, to improve the performance of standard precautions for nurses' infection control in public medical institutions, Different and persistent infection management educational programs that consider the Historical situation and monitoring are required other than providing financial support and supportive safety environment.
In accordance with Article 15 of the Medical Law, medical personnel in Korea cannot refuse treatment of a patient unless there is a justifiable reason, and violation of this obligations is subject to criminal penalties. Japan also stipulates the same content in the law. However, this violation of obligations in Japan is not subject to criminal penalties, and is used as a judgment element of the liability for damages of doctors only in the case of damage to the patient. However, in both countries, it is difficult to interpret and apply the law because the regulation is a little ambiguous. In particular, the key is to find out what is the justifiable reason for the doctor to refuse treatment of the patient. Recently, Japan has completed the work of re-examining the discussion on medical refusal from a modern perspective in terms of improving the excessive working environment of doctors. On the other hand, in Korea, it is not clear in what cases it is possible to refuse treatment. because there is a lack of systematic discussion on medical refusal. Rather, unnecessary misunderstandings and controversies have resulted in the loss of trust between patients and doctors. In Korea, there is already a legal right for a doctor to reject it according to his religious beliefs or conscience in the implementation of the suspension of life-sustaining treatment decisions. And in the case of an abortion, debates are underway that doctors should be given the right to refuse it. This study introduces the current state of discussion in Japan, and examines the issues surrounding medical refusal in Korea. It is hoped that this study will facilitate further discussions on the medical refusal.

This study was conducted from April 2020 to June of the same year to identify the working skills, quality of life and depression on occupational therapists working at medical institutions in Gwangju, Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do. Each function was evaluated using the WAI(Work Ability Index), the Korean version of WHOQOL and PHQ-9(Patient Health Questionnaire-9 Korean version) to evaluate the working ability, quality of life and depression level of depression. Studies have shown mo statistically significant differences in all areas of work capability, quality of life, or depression, depending on general characteristics. The correlation between work tretment worker's work ability, quality of life and depression showed a positive correlation between work ability and quality of life and a strong nehative correlation between quality of life and depression. This is a tesult of improved working ability, which improves the quality of life and lowers the level of depression if there is a positive change in the quality of life. It is hoped that research will be conducted considering the work ability and quality of life of occupational therapists who play an important role in rehabilitation and ways to reduce depression.

This study aimed to evaluate the masticatory performance of Korean children and adolescents and to investigate related factors. Early loss of primary molars, degree of occlusion of first molars, occlusal relationship of first molars, and presence of anterior crossbite were considered. From March 2020 to July 2021, 56 children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 12 were included. The mixing ability index (MAI) was calculated to evaluate the masticatory efficiency of children and adolescents. The subjects were classified into three groups according to the number of early lost primary molars; normal dentition, 1 - 2 teeth lost, more than 3 teeth lost. The number of participants are 23, 18, and 15, respectively. There was no difference in the MAI values between the normal dentition group and the group has 1 - 2 teeth lost. However, when 3 or more primary molars were lost, the MAI value decreased and a significant difference was observed. This study is the first study to evaluate the masticatory performance of children and adolescents in Korea, and it will be helpful to pediatric dentists who evaluate the masticatory performance of children and adolescents and strive to improve the masticatory efficiency of children and adolescents in clinical practice.
Shipping companies earn profits through cargo transportation, and therefore, investment decisions to purchase ships are more important than anything else. Nevertheless, the cash flow discount method was mainly used in the economic analysis method, which assumes that all situations are static. This study shows that the real option model is useful in the economic analysis of ship investment. This economic analysis took into account the irreversibility of investment and uncertainty of benefits. In particular, this study used a binary option price determination model among real options. In addition, the simulation was conducted using actual investment data of A shipping company. As a result of the analysis, the investment value of used ships according to the net present value method was analyzed as negative (-), but the investment value in the real option model reflecting the flexibility of decision-making was evaluated as having positive (+) economic feasibility. It was analyzed that economic feasibility is affected by profit volatility and discount rate. Therefore, this study is expected to help shipping companies make more flexible decisions by using the real option model along with the existing net present value method when making ship investment decisions.
