A Study on the Idea of Forest Park in Kyongsungbu Namsan Park Design Proposal in 1917 (1917년 경성부 남산공원설계안의 삼림공원 개념에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze features and meanings on Kyonsungbu Namsan Park Design Proposal established in 1917, and to discuss the significance of the idea of Forest Park on Namsan Park. This Namsan Park Design Proposal has been the first attempt to apply modern park concept to broaden Namsan area by a professional park planner. The professional park planner to conduct Namsan Park Design Proposal is Dr. Seiroku Honda who is a pioneer of modern Japanese park planning. He clarified the concept of Namsan Park into Forest Park. With his idea we can imagine the position of Namsan at that time as a meaningful green space in Kyonsung city. In the proposal, the planning boundary of Namsan Park was considered widely as Namsan area into one big park, including the north with existing Wesungdae Park, Hanyang Park, Noinjeong and Jangchungdan, and the south with connecting park to Yongsan area beyond the walls of Hangyang castle. In a wide range of park space of the plan, parkways and park facilities were introduced. How to manage new parkways and facilities were also considered together. The significance of this plan is that it is the first trial of modern park planning with Namsan. In addition to the analysis of Kyonsungbu Namsan Park Design Proposal, the modern meaning and implications were also discussed.

  • Development of digital information and internet technology causes the changes of technology environments and companies, and the variety of customers needs has been dynamically changed in terms of integrating information system with customers satisfaction. Moreover a new logistics concept is needed through the sharing information between suppliers and consumers, which maximizes the customers service and its flexibility by changing functional-oriented to process-oriented. Many research papers on transportation studies have focused on the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) and Vehicle Scheduling Problem (VSP). However in the real world, it is known that it takes long time to build vehicle scheduling in the process of transporting the amount of orders from the logistics center to the vendors due to the realistic constraints. This paper presents a framework design for each process enabling delivery planning automatically using heuristic algorithm. In addition, an interactive delivery planning system is implemented utilizing the proposed algorithm.

  • A network design problem (NDP) formulated as a mathematical program is generally used to find an optimum value to minimize or to maximize some objectives such as total travel time, social benefit, or others. NDP has, however, some limits of describing components of travel patterns like activities and trip generation due to its modeling simplicity, and also it has difficulty in including attributes of regional planning. In order to cope with such limits, this paper extends NDP to the urban planning field and proposes a mathematical program which can describe the interactions between urban social activities and transportation planning. Based on this model the authors try to optimize both urban activities and the transportation system. The model developed in this paper is tested to assess its application with a real-size regional transportation network.

Low-Power Bus Driven Floorplan for Segmented Bus Design (버스 분할 설계를 위한 저전력 버스 기반 평면계획)

  • In this paper we present the Low-Power Bus Driven Floorplan(BDF) in which the bus power consumption is minimized by using a new cost function. The previously reported BDF has used the cost function which minimizes only the chid and the bus area. However, such a cost function may not consider the bus power consumption determined by the topology of a bus in case of the segmented bus design. In this paper, we formulate a new cost function which. reflects the communication frequency and the real distance between blocks in a bus to model the bus power consumption. For the Low-Power BDF with the new cost function, the experimental results show the bus power consumption cost is reduced by 11.43% on the average.

  • 최근, 우리나라에서는 효과적인 수자원 관리와 추가적인 수원 확보 차원에서 빗물 재이용에 관한 관심이 크게 증대되고 있다. 하지만 국내의 관련된 제도와 기술 지침은 단지 규제 측면에서 빗물이용시설을 설치하도록 제시하고 있어 빗물이용시설의 실제 사용을 고려한 계획이 배제되어 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 실용적인 빗물이용시설의 계획을 위해 SWMM을 이용하여 빗물 재이용의 수요(빗물 재이용 목표량)와 공급(연간 강우량과 패턴)을 반영한 설계 방법을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 SWMM 내에 구현되어 있는 빗물통 모의에 관한 수식을 이용하되, 수식을 목적에 맞도록 일부 변형하여 활용하였다. 그리고 빗물이용시설의 규모는 설정한 목표량을 만족할 수 있는 최소의 크기로 결정하는 것이 적절하고, 장기간의 강우자료를 이용한 물수지 석이 요구되므로 이를 고려하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 빗물이용시설의 설계 방법은 송산 그린시티 동측지구에 계획된 빗물이용시설의 규모 결정에 활용되었다. 빗물 재이용의 목표량이 일정한 경우, 빗물이용시설의 크기가 커질수록 빗물 재이용 가능량은 로그함수의 형태로 증가하여, 빗물이용시설이 특정 규모 이상으로 커지더라도 빗물 재이용 가능량은 더 이상 증가하지 않는 임계점이 나타난다(그림 1). 따라서 빗물이용시설은 이러한 임계점이 나타나는 규모 정도로 설계하는 것이 합리적이다. 본 연구에서 제시한 빗물 재이용을 고려한 빗물이용시설의 계획은 빗물이용시설을 보다 합리적으로 계획하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

A Balanced Approach to the Planning and Design of Urban Streets (보행자와 자동차를 동시에 고려한 도시 가로의 균형적 계획 및 설계에 관한 연구)

  • Pedestrians and vehicle users ate competing for limited space in urban streets. Therefore, strategical planning and design should be considered to balance the needs placed on urban streets. The study suggested a way to put this concept in to practice by comparing level of service(LOS) of pedestrians and vehicles in the planning and design stage. Also. the study considered the priority among two users basing on the land use characteristics and the functional hierarchy of the streets. In order to overcome the lack or prediction or survey of pedestrian demands in design process, new pedestrian LOS applicable to sidewalk design was suggested based on the comfort linked with the physical limitation. The comparison of the suggested way and the existing way provided at the end of the paper.

The Study of the Process of Design on the Application of the Architectural Field Concept (건축장 개념을 적용한 설계과정 연구)

  • The architectural design process is consisted of the phase of programming and the phase of the design. The contemporary architectural scheme, as a datascape, a rhizome structure and a diagram, is based on the concept of modern physics. And it is applied on the phase of design by synthesizing data. Like this, the design of the architectural field is accomplished in the phase of design. For design of the architectural field, the characteristics of the architectural field is considered as the viewpoint of design in the procedure. First, according to the area which is defined by relations of environments, around architectures and so on, the net system of relations is designed as area. Second, design the linkage between building and space, building and building, space and space, according to the correspondence each other. Third, design the method or form of connecting building and space to one as a building and a space are no longer divided but are understood by one. As a result, for the design of architectural field, it is necessary to define the criteria by the characteristics of architectural field and the architectural field is designed by process.

컴퓨터를 이용한 통신망의 치국 계획

  • 통신망 계획에 있어서 컴퓨터의 이용은 이미 새로운 것이 아니며 그 중요성 또한 날로 증대되고 있다. 그 중에서도 전화망 계획의 가장 기본이 되는 치국계획(placement planning)에 컴퓨터를 이용한 설계기법을 소개하고자 한다. 즉, 통화량을 기본으로 하여 대지비용, 새로운 교환 및 전송비용과 기존시설들이 치국계획에 어떤 영향을 미치며 이를 해결하기 위한 방법론 및 컴퓨터 프로그램 개발의 필요성등을 설명할 것이다.
