Modern police activity is achieved than individual achievement by police officers through member's interaction. It is police's goal which protect citizen's life and body, property and is public order maintenance and to achieve this, suitable police official's selection and public official upgrading the quality and capacity strengthening are important element. But, polices organization has characteristic that do activity by team, and therefore, mutual cooperation of police officers is important first of all for public order preservation. Therefore, this study limited as patrol police officers and investigated realization difference about organizational effectiveness for public order maintenance. Analysis result, realization of organizational effectiveness appeared difference according to sex, age, area, police departments, class, period.

Motorcycle patrol is used for traffic control and enforcement in highly congested areas. One of the major problems with this form of patrol is that it is extremely dangerous since just about any type of accident tends to cause harm to the rider. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of police motorcycle patrol, and to suggest the methods for improving the effectiveness of police motorcycle patrol. This study conducts the survey on 139 policemen that belong to Daejeon Provincial Police Agency that had implemented motorcycle patrol. By factor analysis, the intimacy between policemen and citizens, the excellence of patrol devices, the speed of response, and the appropriacy of patrol method are grouped as the independent variables. And the dependent variable is the effectiveness of police motorcycle patrol. The results of this study demonstrates that the effectiveness of police motorcycle patrol is affected statistically by the speed of response, the appropriacy of patrol, and the intimacy between policemen and citizens. But, the intimacy between policemen and citizens affected the effectiveness negatively. Therefore, police department must make the effort for increasing the speed of response and enhancing the appropriacy of patrol. Also, police department must make patrolmen sincerely conscious of the value of police-community relation.

This paper is dealing with the effectiveness to the crime prevention by the combined security system of the private security and the public security(the Police). In the western countries the public and the private security have well co-operated each other in terms of the job distribution. But our country's The private security has not much serviced in the crime prevention. The public security system has in limited capability to prevent the crime, therefore the co-production through with the private security industry and the community network are required to prevent and reduce the crime we are facing on. The followings are the result of survey on the prevention of crime through The combined security system(co-production) of The police, the private security and the community network; 1) The private security could be a big help to the police work if the two system can be co-operated smoothly. 2) The crime prevention could be not good worked out if police work would only be in the upper level class. 3) The job satisfaction is a positive if the co-operation between the police and the private security is on well.

In this study, I examine whether differences in the levels of stress exist with regard to the police department size. To accomplish this, a way ANOVA analysis of variance(One-way ANOVA) was conducted. As a result, a significant difference was found in Job stress and traumatic stress according to the department size and grade. Specifically, first, in the job stress level on the department size, the smaller department size was, the higher job stress level was and the bigger department size was, the lower job stress level was. Second, in the traumatic stress level on the department size, the smaller department size was, the higher traumatic stress level was and the bigger department size was, the lower traumatic stress level was. Third, in the job stress level on the department grade, the lower department grade was, the lower job stress level was and the higher department grade was, the higher job stress level was. Fourth, in the traumatic stress level on the department grade, the lower department grade was, the lower traumatic stress level was and the higher department grade was, the higher traumatic stress level was.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the actual disaster response and suggest improvement measures for introduction of an autonomous police system Method: This study suggests the improvement measures by reviewing police disaster response manual, related statistical data, and statutes comprehensively Result: The introduction of autonomous police system enabled effective management of police based on circumstances of each region. However, there are still doubts on police response against situations that require large number of personnel. According to analysis on roles of autonomous police during the mass disasters, the autonomous police controlled disaster site to prevent secondary damage, prevented additional disaster damages, and rescued people. However, it is hard for the autonomous police to respond against the mass disasters due to its structure. Conclusion: To improve the response of autonomous police against mass disasters, this study suggested on disaster scene control and secondary damage prevention by the police, cooperative disaster response with regional autonomous police, and utilization of control tower.

The police, as an advance guard for performing governmental functions, should conduct their duties to protect lives, physical bodies, and properties in the nation against various kinds of crimes, prevent from a public risk by detecting a factor that can menace public safeguard and public order and suppress it when a risk factor occurs. Practically it is impossible to protect lives, physical bodies, and properties in the nationprovided that social stability is not taken as security. The roles of the criminal investigation police that take a countermeasure to prevent a risk in prior by detecting hindrance factor of social stability and process any occurred crime in conformity with pertinent laws could control a successful performance in each of the police activities themselves. The study assumes that the organizational capabilities of the criminal investigation police exercises a significant influence upon organizational concentration. In spite of the fact that it is natural that the organizational capabilities of the criminal investigation police exercises a significant influence upon organizational concentration, until now it is very deficient in studies of this field. It is a viewpoint that an organizational concentration would be improved when a capability of the organizational staff will be improved, they would have a targeting capability for sharing organizational goals and vision and a systematic capability would be supported by the dimension of the criminal investigation police. The study was aimed to deduce a developmental method for the criminal investigation police by conducting an analysis on the impact of the organizational capabilities of the criminal investigation police upon organizational concentration that it suggest method that the criminal investigation police will make a contribution for maintaining a social order.

The Purpose of this study is to search for ways to improve the police-related emergency reporting service through the analysis of its actual condition - focusing 112 emergency reporting & 122 emergency reporting. For this purpose, the main data related to police-related emergency reporting required for inspection of the administration conducted by the National Assembly in 2013 is utilized. The actual condition of the police-related emergency reporting service is examined in 3 aspects - the number of reported cases by reporting type, the number of police response, and the average arrival time. The principal analysis results of the actual condition revealed that 112 emergency reporting is increasing and 122 emergency reporting oscillates between increases and decreases in the total number of reported cases, the number of non-emergency reporting is increasing in both 112 and 122 reported cases, the number of prank call is high in 122 reported cases, the rate of other agency transmit($122{\rightarrow}112$) is higher than 12% in 122 reported cases, and the number of police response and the average arrival time are decreasing in 112 reported cases. To improve the police-related emergency reporting, based on the above actual condition, the followings are required: to operate dualistic police-related response; to publicize a police-related reporting service; to take stern measures against false report; to make continuous improvement of the police-related emergency reporting system.

Recently, Police integrity has been issued on the media, which cause discredit of police organization. Although high level of morality and integrity are required compared to other occupational groups due to their authority to exert legal force to the citizens and a variety of policies have been enforced by the National Police Agency for the purpose of uplifting the integrity of the officers, in reality, corruption had not yet been eradicated. At this point in time, this study attempted to draw implications for uplifting integrity by utilizing domestic and foreign preceding studies and statistical data related to police corruption and uplifting integrity. The inspection system through whistle-blowing was pointed out as a problem in the institutional framework that hinders uplifting integrity of the police officers and the perception in which police officers are regarded as potential criminals was also pointed out as a problem. Also, vague standards of disciplinary action in examining an offense of a police officer and lack of care for those who were disciplined in the past which affects loyalty to the organization were presented as problems. Based on such suggested concerns, policies for uplifting integrity and restoring citizens' trust in the policies officers were proposed. The proposed agenda were warning the police officers by presenting clear and specific category of corruptive behaviors, expressing the necessity of devising a system that prevents the officers from committing serious crimes by discovering problematic officers earlier through introduction of Early Warning System(EWS) of US and Australian police in order to break away from exposure-oriented inspection system, and reinforcing the testing of integrity in the new employment process.

In the police, crime intelligence is the basis of decision making for police's original activities in response to crime. Police decision making is done in various ways such as investigation and prevention of individual cases, allocation of resources, organization prioritization, etc. The purpose of this study was to investigate the activities of the UK policing in analyzing crime intelligence and to reflect them in the policing and to draw implications for the comparison with the Korean police. The UK operates a central police agency based on the local police system, and establishes a National Intelligence Model (NIM) system that operates crime intelligence throughout the country. In order to respond to crimes and risks through coordination and cooperation, rather than by centralized police activities, the intelligence department of the police agencies should not only prevent and suppress crime through the analysis of integrated crime information, but also make police decision-making. In contrast, the Korea police operate crime intelligence, such as statistics, case intelligence, and there is no integrated way to use it. In addition, there are few cases in which the organizational decision - making based on crime intelligence is utilized efficiently and systematically. For development, it is necessary to construct an integrated management system and analysis organization for crime intellgence. Criminal Intelligence Analysis Organizations should seek to reorganize the role of the current intelligence department or to operate a separate analysis system through the information system while maintaining the current role of each department.
