A Study on Local Area Weather Condition Monitoring System in WSN and CDMA (무선센서네트워크와 CDMA망을 이용한 국지적 기상모니터링 시스템)

  • An local area weather condition monitoring system to minimize many disasters from the sudden change of weather condition in local and mountain ales is proposed. Firstly, the comparison of present state of the related monitoring systems and the possibility of realization with some merits are investigated. Moreover, this paper present direction of local area weather condition monitoring system based on integration of wireless sensor network and CDMA network following some case study. The sensor node for wireless sensor network and an interface dongle are fabricated for the system. The stand-alone software in cellular phone is also developed. Through the efficient integration of both networks, the measured weather condition data from sensors can be transmitted to the server or mobile to monitor with high reliability. The proposed monitoring system will guide new type of project in wireless sensor network and support alarm service of the sudden change of weather condition to mobile user from central official regulations.

  • In this paper, we developed a system which can detect and can alarm about the sailing provocative climate by using a photo. The research on domestic shipbuilding industry and in IT fusion technology is under construction, but a reliable safety device which can alarm a sailor about the circumstances of the fog and rain during ship operation as soon as possible due to the constant state in domestic. In this paper, a compact, for system low-power transceiver and data processing equipment for sensing were developed, also a performance evaluation got accomplished with simulation analysis. In results, it is operating normally at least 32.36[dB] and maximum values f 89.20[dB] in the domestic, and 32.55 to 60.66[dB] in the outdoors.

  • Car black box helps to investigate the cause of accident by recording time, position and videos as well as shock information. In addition, the car black box need a function to support safe driving for preventing accident. The representative driving support function is a lane departure warning. In order to implement the function, it is necessary to carry out the image processing to detect the lane first. The image processing algorithm requires computational burden to handle so much data and complicated structure of algorithm. This paper describes the efficient image processing algorithm with relatively low amount of computation for car black box embedded platform to detect lanes from the real-time lane image.

Earthquake-related Data Selection using Event Packets (이벤트 패킷을 이용한 지진관련 데이터의 추출)

  • In this paper, we propose a method for selecting meaningful event packets from which can receive before anything else from seismograph according to allotted priority and estimate epicenter using selected packets. Event packets which received from each station will be evaluated with their onset time, signal period and SNR by statistical method and will be selected packets related with real earthquake's P-wave. And estimated epicenters using by 'Application of epicenter estimation using first P arrivals'. With local earthquakes occurred in 2007 were announced by KMA, collected event packets on earthquake happened date and selected p-wave related packets and estimated epicenter. After result of experiment, if an earthquake occurred within seismic networks, can estimate epicenter with small misfits just after event packets arrived from above 4 stations. Considering average distance of each station, in case of using all stations' data include other organization, can estimate and alert rapidly. It show this method is useful when construct a local earthquake early warning system later.

  • Location-based services play an important role in many applications such as disaster warning systems and recommendation systems. These applications often require not only location information (e.g., name, latitude, longitude, etc.) but also the impact of events (e.g., earthquake, typhoon, etc.) on locations. Recently, to provide the impact of an event on a location, how to calculate location trustiness by using multimodal information such as earthquake information and disaster sensor data is researched. In the previous approach, the linear decrement of impact value of an event is applied to obtain the location trustiness of a specific location. In this paper, we propose a new approach to enrich location trustiness, that is, the impact of an event on a location, by using social media information additionally. Firstly, we design a collecting system for earthquake information and social media data. Secondly, we present an approach of location trustiness calculation based on earthquake information. Finally, we propose a new approach to enrich location trustiness by augmenting the trustiness in spatially distributed manner based on social media.

A Study on Prediction Method of Inundation Area by Using the result of 1D Runoff Model and Urban hydrology model (1차원 강우-유출모형과 도시유출모형의 모의결과를 이용한 침수면적 예측방법에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 내수침수에 의한 침수면적 예측을 위한 강우특성과 1차원 유출모형의 유출특성 및 월류특성 자료를 이용한 침수면적의 정확도를 다양한 호우사상을 적용하여 분석하였다. 국내에서 침수 취약지역 예측을 위해서 강우-유출모형의 유출량 예측 즉 홍수추적을 중심으로 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 기존 모형이 홍수추적을 중심으로 이루어진 것은 대유역의 경우에 XP-SWMM 모형과 같은 정밀모형을 이용할 경우 긴 모의시간으로 인하여 예경보 발령을 위한 골든타임 확보가 어려우며, 홍수량 예측을 통하여 예측된 침수피해에 대한 정밀도 확보가 어렵기 때문에 실제 상황에 적용하기 어려운 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 컴퓨터 하드웨어의 발전에 따른 연산속도의 증가와 빅데이터 처리기술을 발전에 따라서 10년 전과 비교하여 2차원 침수면적 예측시간이 단축되기는 하였지만, 실제 침수면적 예측에 적용하기는 어려운 실정이다. 따라서, 모의시간이 짧은 1차원 강우-유출모형, 1차원 도시유출모형을 이용한 침수면적 예측방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 홍수피해 예측을 위하여 다양한 수문학적 인자의 영향 분석을 위해서 XP-SWMM 모형의 다양한 형태의 강우입력자료에 따른 1차원 유출 모의결과와 2차원 지표류 모의결과를 이용하여, 2차원 침수면적 예측결과를 추정하기 위한 수문학적 인자의 적용방법에 대하여 분석하였다. 모의시간이 짧은 강우-유출모형과 1차원 도시유출모형을 이용하여 도출한 수문학적 인자를 이용한 침수면적의 추정방법을 분석을 비교분석함으로써 침수면적 예측 시스템 구축방안에 대하여 구체적인 수문학적 인자들 생성을 위한 단계적 모형 적용방안 수립을 위한 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 최근 기후변화에 따른 국내 기상특성이 변화함에 따라 가뭄, 하천건천화, 홍수 등 물 관련 재해 발생 빈도 및 규모가 점점 커지고 있으며, 세계적으로 홍수 발생 빈도뿐만 아니라 태풍 및 가뭄 발생 빈도도 꾸준히 증가하고 있어 광범위한 관측과 정확한 예측 및 즉각적 대처능력 확보를 위한 수재해 관리가 필요한 실정이다. 아울러 급격한 도시화에 따라 내수범람이 빈번하게 발생하기 때문에 재난발생 시 그 피해가 극대화로 직결되고 있어 도시에서 발생할 수 있는 내수범람을 정확하게 예 경보하기 위한 고해상도 실시간 강수관측이 필요하다. 또한, 유역차원의 홍수범람이 빈번하게 발생하고 있으며, 홍수기 홍수통제소의 댐수문 관리에 어려움이 따라 기상관련 재난이 발생할 수 있어, 유역 차원의 정확한 홍수량 예측과 예 경보 시스템 구축을 위해서는 고해상도의 실시간 강수관측을 통한 강수예측 기술이 중요하다. 이를 위해 위성, 레이더, AWS 등 각종 광역 관측 장비로부터 표출되는 데이터를 통합하고, 이를 종합적으로 분석하여 수리수문인자 및 기상인자로 전환할 수 있는 시스템을 개발 할 경우 가뭄, 하천 건천화, 홍수 등을 실시간으로 감시하고 평가 예측 할 수 있는 정보 생산이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수재해 정보 플랫폼 서비스를 위하여 전체적인 시스템을 개발하기에 앞서 가능성을 타진하고 검증할 필요가 있는 주요 구간을 시험하는 개발 기법인 프로토타입을 우선적으로 개발한다. 주요 항목으로는 (1) 지속 산출 격자 자료에 대한 OGC WxS 또는 LOD 서비스 자동 연계, (2) 격자 자료 ?춤형 제공(해상도, 좌표계 등), (3) 기초, 분석 정보 제공 시스템 등을 프로토타입 대상으로 설정하고 웹 기반 수재해 정보 플랫폼 인터페이스를 구현한다. 개발된 플랫폼은 수재해 예측정보의 정확도를 향상시키고 국지적 침수재해 평가 예측 및 지역 맞춤형 재해평가 체계를 실현함으로써 국가 물 관련 재해를 혁신할 수 있는 기술을 확보하는 소중한 토대가 될 것으로 사료된다.

A Study on the comparison of radio broadcasting service status to improve use (라디오방송서비스 이용현황 비교와 이용 제고 방안 )

  • In this paper, the current status of domestic radio use was compared with foreign countries such as the UK and the US. As a result of the comparison, it was found that the radio reach in both the UK and the US was very high at around 90%, but in Korea it was found to be very low at 21.7%. In addition, in the UK and the US, radio broadcasting is recognized as an important medium for delivering disaster warning messages in the event of a disaster, but in Korea, the importance of radio broadcasting in disaster situations was assessed at 0.7%, confirming that its importance is being overlooked. And the measures to increase the domestic radio broadcasting usage rate are 'Improving service quality such as expanding radio reception coverage', 'Awareness of the importance of radio broadcasting as a disaster warning medium', 'Introduction of digital radio' and 'Introduction of FM radio data broadcasting'. are presented.

HF Data Communication Service Using SSB Modems for Maritime Applications (SSB 모뎀을 이용한 해상용 HF 데이터 통신 서비스)

  • This paper describes on development of integrated interface and applications to support stable digital data communication service for small and midium sized crafts exploiting SSB modems and HF wireless sets. Firstly, integrated interface module between GPS (Global Positioning System) and communication devices was developed. Secondly, maritime map was implemented into a display terminal to provide location tracking service and voyage planning function. In addition, condition monitoring service of crafts and fishing report functions as well as alarm functions were developed to support secure fishery. Results of performance measure on developed application services shows that error rate was less than 3% and communication delay was shorter than 1 second when a message length was less than 1 Kbyte along with one-to-many communication type.

Implementation of Multi-function Sensor Module for Vessel Safety Monitoring (어선안전 모니터링 다기능 센서 모듈의 구현)

  • In order to cope with safety issues regarding fisher vessels, a device is required with the real-time monitoring for the safety and risk factors for a capability of informing and alerting function. In embedded modules, there is a trouble that we should design device drivers and application programs for usage of the multi-function sensors in order to detect risk factors. In this paper, we designed hardware circuit and implemented control program of the sensor part using PIC18F, in order to control and process the input and output data of multi-function sensors without device drivers and application programs. We confirmed the operation of multi-function sensor module to generate output data according to sensor operation.
