FL Deadzone Compensation of a Mobile robot (이동로봇의 퍼지 데드존 보상)

  • A control structure that makes possible the integration of a kinematic controller and a fuzzy logic (FL) deadzone compensator for mobile robots is presented. A tuning algorithm is given for the fuzzy logic parameters, so that the deadzone compensation scheme becomes adaptive, guaranteeing small tracking errors and bounded parameter estimates. Formal nonlinear stability proofs are given to show that the tracking error is small. The fuzzy logic deadzone compensator is implemented on a mobile robot to show its efficacy.

  • This paper presents the design of DSTATCOM (Distribution Static Synchronous Compensator) controller. The results are verified by using PSCAD/EMTDC package. The state equation derived by decomposition analysis of DSTATCOM current component is applied to load model and the combined model which considered constraint condition. In case of single line to ground fault, the conventional method of Pl control is compared with LQR control technique. LQR control is shown to be superior in terms of response profile and composition of voltage sag.

  • 본 논문은 다시점 비디오의 조명 불일치 현상을 효과적으로 보상하기 위한 히스토그램 매칭 기법의 성능을 향상시키는 영상의 에지 방향성을 고려한 전처리 기법을 제안하였다. 다시점 비디오는 카메라 간 서로 다른 위치와 방위로 인해 인접한 시점 영상 간에 존재하는 동일 물체에 색상 차이가 발생할 수 있다. 히스토그램 매칭 기법은 모든 시점 영상의 히스토그램을 정해진 참조시점 영상의 히스토그램에 매칭시켜 다시점 비디오의 조명 불일치 현상을 보상하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 히스토그램 매칭을 수행하기 전에 ELA(Edge-based Line Averaging) 선형 보간 기법과 Cosited 대표 값 추출 필터를 결합한 전처리 필터를 선행하여 조명 보상 효과와 다시점 부호화 성능을 향상시켰다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 전처리 기법이 일반적인 다시점 비디오 부호화에 비해 약 2 dB의 평균 PSNR 향상과 34%의 비트율 절감 효과를 가짐을 확인하였다.

A Study on the Multi-Tap Update Algorithm in Time Variant Channel Model (시변채널 모델에서 다중 탭 갱신 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • Multipath diversity reception is applied to the compensation of the distortion of channel, which occurs in transmission of data at rapid speed. DS/BPSK systems are composed of the equipment with reception structure combined with a compensation algorithm to diversity branch. The efficiency of the system is evaluated from the point of view of average bit error rate according to SNR. In order to remove intersymbol interference, this algorithm is applied to time-invariant channel at every diversity branch with the number of L. As a result, the average bit error rate is saturated by $10^{-2}$ at the conventional compensation algorithm.

  • 본 논문은 새로운 역률보상회로를 적용한 플러그인 하이브리드 전기 자동차 탑재형 완속 충전기(On-Board Charger, OBC)를 제안한다. 제안하는 완속 충전기용 역률보상회로 (Power Factor Correction, PFC)는 기존의 부스트 컨버터를 기본으로 하는 역률보상회로와 동일한 개수의 회로 부품과 입 출력전압 관계를 가진다. 회로 구조상 전파 정류된 DC 전압을 저장하는 입력 커패시터와 입력 인덕터의 에너지가 저장되는 출력 커패시터가 직렬 결합되어 DC-link 전압을 형성하므로 출력 커패시터의 동작전압(Working voltage)을 낮출 수 있어 단가절감이 가능하다. 제안된 역률보상 회로를 적용한 플러그인 하이브리드 전기 자동차 탑재형 완속 충전기에 대한 동작 특성을 해석하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 타당성을 검증한다.

  • We demonstrated numerically that both the chromatic dispersion and the dispersion slope could be compensated by using purely phase-sampled superstructure fiber Bragg gratings provided with chirp of coupling coefficient along the wavelength axis. Also, we propose a purely phase-sampled Bragg grating for dispersion and dispersion slope compensation by introducing a chirp in coupling coefficient and sampling function. The bandwidth of all reflected channels can be equalized.

  • 본 논문은 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기의 순시 토크 맥동 저감 기법을 제안한다. 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기는 일반적으로 이중 돌극형의 구조로 인한 토크 맥동과 소음 발생의 단점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 제어 기법은 퍼지 로직 기반의 최적 턴 오프각 제어와 슬라이딩 모드 제어 기반의 토크 지령 보상 기법을 결합하여 순시적으로 발생하는 토크 맥동을 보상한다. 750W급 전동기 모델의 시뮬레이션 결과는 제안하는 제어 기법의 우수성을 보인다.

An Efficient Receive Diversity Combining Technique for SC-FDMA-based Cooperative Relays (SC-FDMA 기반 상호협력 릴레이를 위한 효율적인 수신 다이버시티 결합 기법)

  • In this paper, a receive diversity combining technique is proposed for single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA)-based cooperative relay systems when discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spreading sizes for mobile station (MS) and relay station (RS) are different. The proposed technique is composed of a DFT spreading size adjustment block, a phase rotation compensation block, a channel phase compensation block, and a receive diversity combining block. The proposed technique is robust to multipath channels and can be operated with a relatively small computational complexity because receive diversity combining is performed with scalar operations in the frequency-domain. It is shown by computer simulation that the proposed receive diversity combining techniques achieve a performance gain over the conventional maximal ratio combining (MRC) techniques for SC-FDMA-based cooperative relay systems.

  • The conventional image segmentation method using level set has been disadvantage since level set function in the gradient-based model evolves depending on the local profile of the edge. In this paper, a new model is introduced by hybridizing level set formulation and complementary smooth function in order to smooth the driving force. We consider an alternative way of getting the complementary function(CF) which is much easier to simulate and makes sense for most cases having no triple junctions. The rule of thumb is that CF must be computed such that the difference between their average and the original CF function should be able to introduce a reliable driving force for the evolution of the level set function. This proposed hybrid method tries to minimize drawbacks the conventional level set method.

Interframe Coding of 3-D Medical Image Using Warping Prediction (Warping을 이용한 움직임 보상을 통한 3차원 의료 영상의 압축)

  • In this paper, an interframe coding method for volumetric medical images is proposed. By treating interslice variations as the motion of bones or tissues, we use the motion compensation (MC) technique to predict the current frame from the previous frame. Instead of a block matching algorithm (BMA), which is the most common motion estimation (ME) algorithm in video coding, image warping with biolinear transformation has been suggested to predict complex interslice object variation in medical images. When an object disappears between slices, however, warping prediction has poor performance. In order to overcome this drawback, an overlapped block motion compensation (OBMC) technique is combined with carping prediction. Motion compensated residual images are then encoded by using an embedded zerotree wavelet (EZW) coder with small modification for consistent quality of reconstructed images. The experimental results show that the interframe coding suing warping prediction provides better performance compared with interframe coding, and the OBMC scheme gives some additional improvement over the warping-only MC method.
