Standardization of vitamin analysis continues around the world, and much effort has been made to improve the accuracy of the results. This study analyzed the sigma metrics of the vitamin D test using the external quality assessment (EQA) program. Sigma metrics is used for quantitative tests performed in the laboratory, and the test results can be objectively visualized in terms of quality. This analysis was performed based on the accuracy of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) using the results of the 2019 accuracy-based vitamin D (ABVD) survey, and about 300 laboratories participated in the survey. Reference values were obtained by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reference laboratory. At six different concentrations, the sigma metrics were analyzed to be 1.00, 1.85, 2.42, 1.01, 1.54 and 0.78, respectively. An average of 1.43 sigma metrics was determined. In particular, only positive biases for ABVD-16 and 17 were shown in the liquid chromatography tandem-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), which is the standard method for vitamin D determination when compared to the reference values. The causes of the difference can be explained by cross reactivity to various vitamin D metabolites. Laboratories need to improve their overall performance.

Tracheobronchial rupture is one of the less-common injuries associated with blunt chest trauma. The diagnosis of tracheobronchial rupture is not easy, but failure to diagnosis may lead to death or long-term disability. Early diagnosis and appropriate management can reduce the mortality and morbidity. Bronchoscopy is the diagnostic method of choice for patients with tracheobronchial rupture. We report a case of tracheal rupture after blunt chest trauma. A 40-year-old man was transferred to our hospital for dyspnea after blunt chest trauma. He was promptly diagnosed as tracheal rupture by fiberoptic bronchoscopy and chest computed tomogram. He was successfully managed by thoracotomy and primary repair.

농림수산식품부는 '소 및 쇠고기 이력추적에 관한 법률' 제14조 및 같은 법 시행령 제5조에 따른 소 및 쇠고기의 개체식별 검사방법 및 검사기관 등에 관한 세부사항을 명확히 규정하기 위해 지난 4월 23일 고시했으며, 6월 22일부터 시행토록 했다.

Ultrasonic inspection method is more profitable than X-ray radiographic inspection in cost and effect of defect detection such as dis-bond, damage, and it does'nt need special constructions and can be possible real time inspection with safety. This report explains the experiment and analysis of ultrasonic property of solid propellant and the inspection methods of propellant/liner dis-bond by inside or outside inspection, and of propellnat micro crack by damage. At result, ultrasonics has big attenuation$(6\sim8db/cm)$ in solid propellant, and it. can be possiblle to detect the defect of propellant/liner dis-bond by inside or outside inspection. And also it can be possible to detect the propellant micro crack caused by damage by using ultrasonic attenuation.

건협 부산지부는 지난해부터 선천성대사이상질환 중 페닐케톤뇨증(PKU)에 대한 검사를 실시해, 관련 의료기관으로부터 좋은 반응을 불러 일으키고 있다. 지난해 2월부터 검사의 필요성에 대한 계몽작업을 시작해 지금까지 가검물수집, 검사, 결과통보까지 성실히 수행해 오고 있는 부산지부는, 지난해의 검사에 대한 평가를 통해 올해에는 선천성 대사이상 질환의 발견율을 증가시키기 위해 검사종목의 확대 등에 대한 계획을 수립, 진행시키고 있다. 부산지역 내 신생아 건강관리에 일익을 담당하고 있는 이 검사사업이 전국적으로 확대되어 정신박약아의 발생을 사전에 예방할 수 있게 되기를 바라면서 부산지부의 검사 실시 과정과 앞으로의 계획을 들어보기로 한다.
