The Effect of Job Embeddedness in Small and Medium Sized Construction Companies on Turnover Intention through Organizational Commitment (중소건설기업의 직무배태성이 이직의도에 미치는 영향 : 조직몰입을 매개로)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Job Embeddedness of members of small and medium-sized construction companies on turnover intention through organizational commitment, targeting employees of small and medium-sized construction companies located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon. The significance sampling method was applied as the sampling method, and the number of cases used in the final analysis was 316, and the input data was processed using the SPSS 20.0 program for statistical analysis. As a result of analysis, First, it was found to have a significant negative(-) effect on the turnover intention in suitability and sacrifice as sub-factors of Job Embeddedness of small and medium-sized construction company members, and the correlation between linkage and turnover intention was not significant. Second, it was found to have a significant positive(+) effect on the organizational commitment in suitability, links and sacrifice as sub-factors of job embeddedness of small and medium-sized construction company members. Third, organizational commitment was found to have a significant negative(-) effect on turnover intention. Fourth, organizational commitment was found to completely mediate the relationship between job commitment and turnover intention. Therefore, it was found that the higher the Job embeddedness of the members of small and medium-sized construction companies, the more influential the turnover intention. This suggests that it can have a negative effect on turnover intention by improving the suitability of values pursued by individual members of the organization, work passion, and attachment to the organization.

Analyzing the Resilience of Innovation City through the Application of Adaptive Cycle and Panarchy - Focusing on Ulsan Ujeong Innovation City (적응순환계와 패나키의 적용을 통한 혁신도시의 리질리언스 분석 -울산 우정혁신도시 사례를 중심으로-)

  • The central government has been promoting innovation cities since the early 2000s for the balanced development of the country in order to solve the problems of overcrowding in the metropolitan area and underdevelopment of the country due to rapid urbanization since the 1980s. The 10 innovation cities built through the regional relocation of public institutions were expected to have positive effects such as economic revitalization and population influx, but uncertainties and various externalities still exist. Therefore, this study aims to analyze innovation cities from the perspective of urban resilience to create sustainable cities. To this end, the research analyzed urban factors in the physical, natural, social, economic, and institutional dimensions of Ulsan Ujeong Innovation City, and applied the Adaptive Cycle and Panarchy to comprehensively analyze them. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the built, socio-economic, and natural environments are currently undergoing the adaptive cycle stages of preservation, reorganization, and growth, respectively, and the interaction and structural causal relationships between Korea, Ulsan Metropolitan City, and Ulsan Ujeong Innovation City were identified. The study concluded that Ulsan Ujeong Innovation City can be sustainable by utilizing opportunities such as the central government's Innovation City Season 2 and financial support, construction of Janghyeon Advanced Industrial Complex, and fostering local innovation clusters according to local conditions.

  • We are developing asset management information systems to introduce the preventive/proactive approach at operation and management (O&M) of infrastructures. The objective of this study is to explore the future direction for development and operation of asset management information systems. So, we developed the success model and selected the evaluation criteria for analyzing user satisfaction to assess the expected performance of asset management information systems and the degree of impact on asset management functions to operation and management of highway transportation facilities. We estimated the relative importance weight according to the selected evaluation criteria through AHP analysis. We verified the logical consistency of the importance weight and exclude biased outlier from importance weight group using the concept of the Compatibility.

(주)해우종합물류, (주)천안물류, 최승락 한국통운(주) 대표는 건설교통부 장관 표창을, (주)오에프에이 시스템은 매일경제신문사 사장상을 각각 수상했다.

  • Quality is the core competence for customer satisfaction in current competitive business environments. The manufacturing companies regard the quality as the success factor in enhancing competitiveness and foremost concept of the management innovation. But in many cases, the basis for the quality management and the action programs are not prepared yet. In construction industry, normally schedule and cost have priority over quality and the level of overall quality is relatively lower than other industries. This is caused by the vague quality goal and result-oriented management. This study suggests the quality performance indicators for measuring performance objectively, and develops the continuous quality monitoring system based on those indicators. By using this system, the quality improvement can be expected and corporate quality competitiveness can be ensured.

  • Recently, the fourth industrial revolution has a great influence on the development of many industries as well as the construction industry. Various technologies related to the industrial revolution 4.0, such as AI and big data, have gained much attention. However, little has been known about the importance and preparedness of stakeholders of the construction industry in Korea for the industry 4.0 technologies so far. This study revealed how the stakeholders perceive and prepare for industry 4.0 using a survey. In addition, collaboration potential score for each technology was calculated to find technologies with high potential for collaboration. Result is that the importance of the technologies was evaluated high in overall, but the preparedness and implementation in university education or business was evaluated low. Technologies with high potential for industry-university collaboration are AI/big data and 3D printing/3D scanning. This study can contribute to the training of industry 4.0 experts and improving preparedness, which would enable the innovation and application of industry 4.0 technologies in the construction industry.

  • (사)한국물류협회(회장 서병륜)와 건설교통부, 매일경제신문이 공동으로 주최하는 2007년도 한국물류대상 시상식이 지난 달 15일 서울 중구 대한상공회의소에서 개최됐다. 이번 행사에서는 건설교통부 장관과 서병륜 (사)한국물류협회장, 물류산업계 및 학계 인사 등 5백여명이 참석한 가운데 거행됐다. 한국물류대상을 한국물류협회, 건설교통부, 매일경제신문이 공동으로 주최하는 행사로 1993년부터 매년 시행하는 물류부문 정부 포상이다. 효율적이고 체계적인 물류혁신에 노력한 기업과 개인을 발굴하여 포상하고 있으며 매년 그 위상이 격상되어 오고있다. 이번 한국물류대상에는 대통령포창상에 (주)포스코 등 4개 업체, 국무총리표창상에 (주)LG CNS Entrue 컨설팅 등 2개 업체, 건교부장관표창상에 대화물류(주) 등 8개업체, 매일경제신문회장상에 한국후지쯔(주) 등 2개 업체, 한국물류협회장상 코레일로지스(주) 등 3개 업체, 근정포상에 전일수 교수가 수상, 20개 단체 및 개인이 수상의 영예를 안았다. 본 고에서는 제15회 한국물류대상 수상자들의 활약상을 살펴본다.

  • 최근 전 세계적으로 서비스 산업의 노동력 비중이 늘어나고 서비스업 뿐만 아니라 농업 및 제조업 분야에서도 서비스의 가치 비중이 높아지고 있다. 그러나 최근까지 서비스는 대부분 제공자의 직관과 경험에 의존하여 운영되었기 때문에 서비스의 성과와 고객 만족도는 미미한 수준에 그칠 수밖에 없었다. 이에 따라 서비스의 생산성을 향상시키고 서비스 수준을 혁신하는 방법을 찾는 것이 산업 사회의 주요 현안으로 떠올랐고 이러한 배경 하에 서비스업의 본질을 과학적으로 규명하여 서비스 분야의 혁신을 이루기 위해 경영학, 사회과학, 산업공학 등 여러 분야의 지식을 종합하여 서비스 과학(Services Science)이라는 새로운 학문 분야를 만들려는 움직임이 일기 시작했다. 서비스 과학의 목적은 공급자와 고객 사이에 가치를 창출하는 일련의 과정인 서비스를 보다 과학적인 방법을 통하여 측정하고 예측할 수 있는 것으로 변환시킴으로써 서비스의 미래 가치와 위험을 정량적으로 예측하고 나아가 서비스의 성과와 만족도를 높이는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 U-city 건설에 중추적 역할을 할 것으로 기대되는 지리정보시스템(GIS)의 비즈니스 모델을 대상으로, GIS 정보 서비스의 특성을 규명하여 이러한 정보 서비스가 높은 생산성을 갖기 위한 방안으로서 다학제적 관점의 공유를 통해 다양한 학문 분야의 지식을 종합 적용하고 서비스의 특성을 고려하여 직관과 경험이 아닌 과학적인 도구와 방법론을 통해 GIS 정보 서비스를 관리할 것을 제안한다.

A Study of the Strategic Advanced Project Management Application in the Korean Construction Industry (한국 건설산업의 전략적 선진 프로젝트 매니지먼트 적용에 대한 연구)

  • In order to apply strategic advanced project management to the Korean construction industry, the study conducted a comparative analysis of the project management body of knowledge of the advanced countries such as the USA and Japan as well as Europe. As a result, it was found that the connection to 'execution' of 'strategy' was highlighted as a common main issue in the theoretical background of project management body of knowledge, and strategic planning, which aligns 'program management' based on the integration of multiple project management and operations in single project with 'portfolio management' for selection and concentration, has been emphasized. Accordingly, the study built up the framework for the application of strategic advanced project management for strategic action in the Korean construction industry and proposed the following applicable solutions for implementation into the current Korean construction industry: 1) Innovate global competitiveness by preparing an 'ideology and philosophy' for the strategic action of an organization, 2) Establish a strategic 'environment' in consideration of the culture and structure of an organization, 3) Propose a strategic 'vision' for attaining a realizable goal within an organization, 4) Create an 'investment' on the portfolio in line with the strategy, 5) 'Execute' the program through the portfolio and project management. Lastly, the study brought up strategies for sustainable growth by applying strategic advanced project management to the Korean construction industry with a view to acquiring 'Performance' through the implementation and operation of their integrated system.

Simulation Study on the Production of Methanol from CO2 Emissions in the Cement Industry (시멘트 산업에서 배출한 CO2로부터 메탄올 생산에 대한 공정 시뮬레이션 연구)

  • The cement industry emits a large amount of greenhouse gases compared to other industries, with about 60% of CO2 emissions from the decarbonation of limestone and about 40% from the combustion of fossil fuels. Therefore, the cement industry needs to reduce greenhouse gases through carbon capture, utilization, and storage technology. Capturing CO2 and synthesizing it into methanol is feasible and also useful as raw material for the chemical industry and as marine fuel. In this study, We aimed to produce methanol from syngas produced by capturing CO2 emissions. Process simulations were performed under various conditions such as syngas ratio, temperature, and pressure for the production of synthesis gas and methanol, and the results showed that the optimal amount of methanol production at a synthesis gas ratio of 2.03.
