Scaling of the Individual Differences to Cognize the Image of the City - Focusing on Seong-Nam- (개인차 척도법을 이용한 도시 이미지 인지 경향 연구 - 성남시를 중심으로 -)

  • Images of Seong-Nam appears different according to diverse conditions. This study was intended to analyze the differences of cognition by personal characteristics such as age, gender, location, and period when an individual evaluates an urban image. This research focused on the interpretation of the visualized results from Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) and Individual Difference Scaling (INDSCAL) with two questionnaires. This study can be summarized as follows: 1. Namhan Sansung was ranked as the first symbolic property by citizens in Seong-Nam. Next was Yuldong Park, followed by Bundang Central Park, Seohyun Station including Samsung Plaza, and, finally, Moran Market. This trend also similarly appeared in the selection of preferred places. 2. There were no statistical differences in trends of choice of symbolic landmarks and preferred places according to age, gender, and period; however, there were meaningful differences according to location. 3. The total image of Seong-Nam was positioned to be separated from images of other districts and landmarks on the image spatial plot by MDS; however, images of the old and new district were plotted close to symbolic landmarks where located around each district. 4. INDSCAL illustrated that men weighted the historical meaning while women weighted preference and city size when evaluating an urban image. On the other hand, there was no difference in cognitive trends according to age, location, and period. Until now, an individual difference in the cognition and evaluation of an urban image was a socially accepted notion. However, this study verified the difference according to personal characteristics and developed a practical tool to analyze an individual cognition trend about a city image.

However, policy is ultimately approved and issued by the organization's senior management. In environments where employees feel inundated with policies, directives, guidelines and procedures, an ID security policy should be introduced in a manner that ensures that management's unqualified support is clear. This paper will discuss Next Generation Cyber Certificate security policy in terms of the different types program-level and issue-specific, components, and Design and Implementation of Security Algorithm Simulation based on 4GL, PowerBuilder7.0.

Relationships of the Self-regulated Learning Strategies used in Both Science and English Classes and Motivation to Academic Performance by Science-gifted High School Students (과학영재고등학생의 과학과 영어과목에서의 학습전략 사용 및 동기의 차이와 학업수행과의 관계)

  • This study investigated the relationships of the self-regulated learning strategies used in both science and English classes and motivation to academic performance of science-gifted high school students. Participants of this study were 144 freshmen of Korea Science Academy It was found out that the use of self-regulation learning strategies and motivation exerts differential influence on the academic performance of science-gifted students, depending on the subjects they study. Results showed that they used more vigorously in science class those self-regulated strategies which consist of cognition, metacognition, and resource management strategies than in English class. In addition, their motivation level in science class was significantly higher than that in English class. Self-regulated strategies did not explain any variance in physics GPA. Task value among the motivation variables accounted for 2 percent of variance in physics GPA. Metacognition and time and study environment variables explained 8 percent and 15 percent of variance in English GPA, respectively. Self-efficacy in motivation accounted for 30 percent of variance in English GPA, These results were discussed in the light of instruction for science-gifted high students.

A Study of Primary Pre-service Teachers' Perceptions on Multicultural Embedded English Education (다문화 기반 초등영어교육에 관한 예비초등교사의 인식 조사)

  • This study aims to investigate pre-service primary English teachers' perceptions of multicultural education. For this study, the researchers surveyed 63 pre-service teachers at a national university of education using an online survey. A quantitative method is used in order to collect and analyze data. The results revealed the following: First, pre-service primary English teachers stand at a considerably high level in their overall understanding of elementary students and clearly recognize the necessity of multicultural education in school. Second, concerning the difference that the personal variables of gender, grade, and major make in the subjects' perception of English education based on multicultural education, grade showed no statistically significant difference, but gender and major are responsible for a slight difference. Third, an analysis was made of the correlation between the subjects having or not having received multicultural education and the personal variables of gender, grade, and major, yielding the following results: Gaining or not gaining multicultural education does not correlate with gender, but does significantly with grade and major.

  • The 2015 revised information curriculum emphasizes the ability to solve problems in real life based on the basic concepts, principles and techniques of computer science. How the contents of textbooks are designed is an important issue in terms of achievement of educational goals and whether contents can be easily and clearly communicated. The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept presentation method presented in middle school informatics textbooks by three types of text- centered type, picture-centered type, and case-centered type- to analyze differences in understanding according to individual variables (sex, subject preference). Analysis results found the figure-centered type showed the highest degree of comprehension among students, and the preference of contents design type and the difference of understanding according to sex did not show significant differences. According to the preferred subjects, understanding of the content design types were found to be significantly different according to preferred subjects.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 교통망 시스템 서비스에 사용하는 5.8GHz 대역에서 OFDM을 이용한 단거리 전용 통신 시스템의 성능을 분석하였다. 현재의 DSRC 시스템은 1Mbps 이상의 데이터 서비스가 어려울 것으로 예상되므로 개선도니 변복조방식이 요구된다. OFDM(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) 방식은 보호구간의 삽입을 통하여 ISI를 방지할 수 있으므로 고속 데이터 전송에 적합하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 데이터 변조 방식으로는 IEEE 802.11a에 근거한 부 반송파의 수가 64개인 QPSK변조 방식을 사용하는 OFDM 시스템을 모델링 하고, 도플러 천이 효과를 고려한 Clark & Gans 페이딩 환경에서 성능을 분석하였다. 또한 페이딩 환경에서는 성능의 열화 정도가 크기 때문에 이를 극복하기 위해 채널 예측기를 사용하여 채널 응답을 근사적으로 예측${\cdot}$보상하였다.

The Effects of Type of Group Based Incentive across Task Structure on Work Performance (과업의 상호의존성에 따라 집단 성과급 분배방식이 수행에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of different group incentive type on performance under two types of interdependence in a task structure. One hundred twenty college and graduate students were recruited and asked to perform group typing task. Each typing groups organized three members. Participants were randomly assigned to one of four experimental conditions: equally-distributed incentive and differentially-distributed under two different task interdependence. In this study, the dependent variable was the number of correctly typed characters. We found the significant interaction effects between group incentive type and task interdependence. Specifically, under interdependent task, the work performance of participants in equally-distributed group incentive condition was higher than the performance in differentially-distributed group incentive condition.

Cultural Differences of Choice on Interaction Problem (인터랙션 문제에 대한 선택의 문화적 차이)

  • This study is aimed to compare choices on interaction problems, and to consider the reason of the choices. It was expected that the interaction problems are influenced from national culture, age, gender and so on. The first interaction problem in this study is default answer button when user operates to delete all messages on SMS in-box. Second one is action when pop-p window warning dangerousness of install showed on web browsing. The third one is type(analog/digital) and information expression of control panel on soup maker. 639 Korean data and 784 data from China, Japan and the Netherlands are analyzed through cross-tabulation and chi-square test. In the results, many Japanese choose 'No' answer at SMS delete problem, while many Dutch choose 'Yes'. The result suggests that uncertainty avoidance effect on interaction problems. On warning pop-up, Younger generation and men choose actively 'install' than older one and women. On type of control panel, Dutch subjects preferred analog type than other countries' subjects. On expression of control panel, older generation and individualistic subjects relatively preferred text style than other style.

Effect of Care Workers on Job Satisfaction on Organization Commitment (요양보호사의 직무만족이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the effect that the job satisfaction of care workers would have on the organization commitment. For this study, 230 care workers were surveyed via mail who were working at the long-term recuperation institutes for the elderly located in the eastern part of Jeollanam-do. 141 sets of questionnaires were used for analysis, excluding those with missing data. The collected data were processed by using the SPSS 18.0 to conduct the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t/F-test, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of analysis suggested the followings : First, the difference in organization commitment based on individual characteristics and job characteristics of care workers was found to exist, depending on the age related to individual characteristics and types of institutes and work types related to the job characteristics. Second, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to analyze the effect that the job satisfaction of care workers would have on organization commitment. With the individual characteristics and occupation environment variables of care workers being controlled, it was found that the job satisfaction of care workers had the greatest effect on organization commitment. This implies that the extent of job satisfaction determines the commitment level of care workers for the concerned job.

Creative Personality and Teacher Efficacy of Pre-service Kindergarten Teachers (예비유아교사의 창의적 인성과 교사효능감의 관계)

  • This paper is intended as an investigation of relation between pre-service kindergarten teacher's creative personality and teacher's efficacy. Subjects of this study were 160 third grade students of S collage & Y collage. They were major in infant or early childhood education and have an field practice experience of nurture and education. Tool for measurement is Creative Personality Scale of Ha Juhyun and TEBI(Teaching Efficacy Belief Instrument) teacher's efficacy test which is modified by Kim Sunnam. The collected data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, post hoc Scheffe' test, Pearson's correlation and stepwise regression. The following results were obtained. First, there is no difference in creative personality according to academic grade, age, experience of leadership in collage. Second, there is a static relation between age of pre-service kindergarten teacher and teacher's efficacy especially personal teacher's efficacy. Third, points of creative personality is relative to teacher's efficacy, especially relative to personal teacher's efficacy. Among the sub-factors of creative personality, factors estimates teacher's personal efficacy are 'self belief, imagination and open mind'. On these ground, I comment on curriculum which will educate creative personality of pre-service kindergarten teacher.
