This study aims to investigate the effects of socioscientific issues (SSI) instruction on promoting college students' character and values as citizens, and to compare the effects based on the psychological factor - idiocentrism and allocentrism. Thirty-one college students who enrolled in the SSI course participated in this study. The SSI course provided the students with opportunities to explore various aspects of five topics, to express and share their own opinions, and to identify reasonable alternatives. The students with distinct tendencies were classified into two groups (i.e. idiocentric and allocentric groups) based on the personal value orientation scores before the instruction, and they responded to the questionnaire to examine their character and values as citizens before and after the instruction. The results showed that the students' social and moral compassion and socioscientific accountability improved significantly after the SSI course. The overall effects of the SSI program on students' character and values were not significantly different between two groups. However, the post-mean score of the allocentric group in socioscientific accountability was higher than the one of the idiocentric group. This study shows that SSI instruction could positively affect character development regardless of psychological tendencies, and could be implemented in the science classroom as a good instructional approach to integrating science education and character education.

인간이 태어나서 일생을 살아가는 데에는 반드시 거쳐야 할 것들이 여럿있다. 지금은 가치관이 바뀌어 아닐 수도 있지만, 그중의 하나가 혼례다. 혼례는 개인적으로 진짜 성년이 되었음을 선언하는 것이요. 사회적으로는 사회 집단의 기본 단위인 가정을 이루었음을 뜻한다. 이를 뒤집어 본다면, 성에 대한 독점적 자유의 허용과 이에 대한 공증적 절차이기도 하다. 아내만을, 남편만을 사랑하고 그에 대한 개인적 자유와 허용을 인증하는 사회적 통과의례인 셈이다. 조금 더 솔직하게 표현해 보면, '이제 너희 남녀는 두 의지에 따라 성을 마음대로 해도 좋다' 는 선언이다. 따라서 혼례는 동서고금을 막론하고 중요한 의미를 지니는 '큰 일' 로서 , 여러 가지 관습적 가치관이 굳어져 하나의 풍습으로 이어오고 있다.

The study developed and analyzed programs that incorporate observable worldviews-based science education and education for sustainable development(ESD) in science classes to emphasize integration with the background of the times and achieve effective goals of science education aimed at cultivating scientific literacy. As a result of applying the program to actual high school students, students were able to see the transition to the worldviews of ecology in the process of considering various values and making decisions by identifying their own values. Students' worldviews were found to be at odds during the process of identifying their worldviews and approaching values in various aspects of the class due to the conflicting values of each curriculum and teacher worldviews. In the area of individual values, the worldviews should be applied in science education and understanding of the worldviews of teachers and curriculum contents is also required. Through this study, we hope that access to the area of individual values represented by the worldview in science education will help students change fundamental.

This study investigated the impact on pre-service teachers during the development of an integrated science education program, emphasizing group intelligence, values, and software application in response to societal demands. The results revealed several key findings. Firstly, the development of an integrated science education program utilizing group intelligence enhanced the learning motivation of pre-service teachers, particularly demonstrating improvements during the implementation phase. Secondly, the group intelligence-based development of the integrated science education program cultivated the group intelligence competence of pre-service teachers, manifesting positive effects throughout the entire process of program development, demonstration, and feedback. Thirdly, it was evident that the integration of software and individual values into science curriculum requires specialized support.

This study investigated the effects of major selection motives and occupational values on employment preparation behavior among paramedic students. The study also assessed the role of mentoring in enhancing preparation for employment. During the period of five days, from December 2 to 6, 2019, 300 students randomly selected by the researcher, were provided with a self-administered questionnaire, after taking written consent from them. The responses of 286 respondents were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Fourteen responses were not included in the analysis due to lack of credible answers. The analysis revealed that personal motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic work values had a positive effect on employment preparation behavior and mentoring had a moderating effect. Therefore, continuous individual and group counseling is required to improve employment preparation behavior and special lectures and mock interviews in a mentoring program based on major selection motivations and occupational values are necessary.

The present study aimed to identify predictors of Youtube creator's Willingness to work as a profession. This work is notable, given its prevalence in preference as an occupation due to the development of information and communication technology. In the present work, a survey study was utilized and respondents' perception of job values, interest, self-esteem as well as willingness to work were measured. The results from a multiple regression analysis indicate that, realistic type (-), artistic type (+), corporate type (+) job value and job interest were significantly predictive of willingness to work. This study discussed implications including the need to establish career support services for YouTube creators as a profession and further for differentiated approaches based on job values or individual tendencies. The result from the current work is important, in that this study identified the willingness and influential factors of YouTube creators from a professional perspective, reflecting the recent growing interest in YouTube creators.

The purpose of this research is to examine the factors correlated with adjustment to collage life of students such as their academic achievement and college life satisfaction. This research focuses on the relationship between values and college life satisfaction based on perspectives that individual values have close affinity with life satisfaction. For analyses, we used 5-years of information of college admission and GPAs of all students, and survey data of 671 students of C university. The results are as follows; 1) academic achievement is the highest among those with comprehensive school report admission-within the enrollment quota, 2) college life satisfaction is pertaining to specific values such as belief in justice, cooperation, and trust, 3) college life satisfaction is related with the satisfaction of overall educational environment. The results emphasize the importance of education of public values to enhance adjustment to college life of students.

The purpose of this paper was to explore the effects of familism and sense of intimacy on Filial responsibility of women. This survey was conducted from March, 2014 to June, 2014 and 422 responses from the survey were used for the analysis. The research findings could be summarized as the followings. First, the mean of filial responsibility, familism and sense of intimacy were higher than average. Especially, the mean score of filial responsibility showed significantly higher score. Second, both of familism and sense of intimacy, income were the significant predictors to explain filial responsibility. So, filial responsibility has been kept and both of familism and sense of intimacy were revealed as significant factors to filial responsibility.

This study was conducted to identify the effects of major selection motivation and occupational values on employment preparation behavior for paramedic students', and to provide basic data for improving employment preparation behavior based on the results. After receiving the consent to participate in the research from November 4 to 8, 2019, a self-written questionnaire was conducted for 3rd and 4 year university paramedic students' located in D Metropolitan City and J Province. Among the collected data, 341 parts, except for the 9 parts with insufficient response, were finally analyzed with SPSS ver. 12.0 (Window). Results, personal motivation of major selection motivation, intrinsic work values of occupational values, and extrinsic work values were influenced in order to employment preparation behavior.Therefore, it is considered that it is necessary to open a vocational value course in individual and group counseling and regular or non-regular curriculum considering the characteristics of gender and grade, major selection motivation, and occupational oalues.
