Policy for Gender Innovation in Scientific Research (과학기술의 젠더혁신 정책 방향 연구)

  • Gender innovation refers to the act of producing more trustworthy science and technology based on gender analysis in conducting and development. Science and technology have been considered to be irrelevant to gender and gender analysis. Science and technology lost opportunity to market and sometimes caused massive losses due to the ignorance of gender and the concept of gender differences. Despite importance in the field of science and technology, the reason why gender innovation does not take place is the lack of woman science in science and technology. Further, the promotion of female scientists policy bas been pursued by the government is one of the reasons. The government has been forcibly carried out without considering 'performanceism' spreading in the scientific and technological fields. This research argues that scientific research brings gender perspective back into all the level of research conduct. In order to improve gender ignorance in science and technology, gender sensitive education should be provided to scientists. Also, gender governance and women's committee for gender analysis should be established to adopt gender analysis in scientific research.

A Study of the Development and Validation of Ego-resilience Scale for Young Children (유아 자아탄력성 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a children's ego-resilience measurement scale and to examine the reliability and validity of the developed scale. Subjects consisted of 289 children of age 3 to 5 attending kindergarten and daycare centers located in Gwangju city and Chonnam province. Factor analysis, correlation analysis and reliability analysis were conducted using SPSS 18.0 and Amos 18.0 programs. The children's ego resilience scale consists of 26 items of 5 factors(attention concentration, emotion control, self efficacy, empathy, peer relationship) after the exploratory factor analysis. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed that RMSEA is .059, NNFI is .901 and CFI is .913. Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient were acceptable with this study's scale and KPRC. Chronbach ${\alpha}$ were also acceptable. Thus, the developed children's ego resilience measurement scale is reliable and valid.

  • FOD is a generic term for substances with potential threats that can pose a fatal risk to aircraft. Therefore, FOD should be noted in all areas of the airport. Especially, the method of detecting and collecting FOD in runway and aircraft movements is very low efficiency and economical efficiency of airport operation, so it is essential to develop FOD automatic detection system suitable for domestic environment. As part of the aviation safety technology development project, the development of an automatic detection system for foreign matter in the moving area of the aircraft inside the airport is underway. In this paper, it is confirmed that EO / IR camera is used for detection of foreign objects at Taean Airfield of Hanseo University. EO camera is used during the day and IR camera is used at night.

  • 첨단교통정보시스템(ATIS)의 핵심 요소라 할 수 있는 동적경로안내 시스템(Dynamic Route Guidance System : DRGS)은 운전자가 목적지에 도착하기까지 실시간 교통정보를 토대로 최적경로를 안내해 줌으로써 날로 심화되어 가고 있는 교통혼잡을 최소화할 수 있으리라 기대를 모으고 있다. 특히 교통사고나 긴급도로공사 등으로 인해 발생하는 돌발적 교통혼잡하에서는 DRGS의 역할이 더욱 커질 것으로 예상되고 있다. 본 논문은 돌발적 교통혼잡하에서 보다 효과적인 DRGS의 경로 안내 알고리즘을 개발하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 우선 하부구조기반(Infrastructure Based) DRGS와 개인차량기반(In-vehicle Based)DRGS의 장단점을 운전자, 교통행정당국, 그리고 교통체계관점에서 비교하였고, 시스템 아키텍쳐와 경로안내 알고리즘간의 상호관계를 규명하였다. 또한 효율적인 경로안내를 위해 사용자 평형(User Equilibrium)경로안내전략과 시스템최적화(System Optimal) 경로안내전략을 이상형 교통망(Idealistic Network)을 통해 비교분석하였다. 여기에는 현재 ITS-America에서 System Architecture 평가를 위해 사용한 INTEGRATION이라는 ITS Simulation Model과 그 통행저항함수를 사용하였다. 이를 토대로 돌발적 교통혼잡상황 아래서 사용자평형 경로안내를 제공할 경우 야기될 수 있는 Braess` Paradox 문제와, 총통행시간을 최소화하기 위한 시스템최적 경로안내를 제공할 경우 일어날 수 있는 사용자 호응도(User Compliance)문제를 동시에 고려한 적응형 동적경로안내 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 여기에는 돌발적 교통혼잡하에서 통행시간을 동적으로 예측하기 위해 이산형 확정적 대기행렬모형(Discrete Deterministic Queueing Model)이 사용되었다. 한편 알고리즘의 효율성을 평가하기 위해 이상형 교통망과, 실제 미국 Virginia 주의 Fairfax County에 소재한 주간 고속도로 66번(I-66)과 인접 교통망의 교통자료를 사용하여 각종 돌발교통 혼잡 상황을 전제로 한 Traffic Simulation과 정보제공시나\리오를 INTEGRATION Model을 이용해 실행하였다. 그 결과 적응형 알고리즘이 개개인의 최단시간 경로를 제공하는 사용자 평형 경로안내전략에 비해 교통혼잡도와 정체시간의 체류정도에 따라 3%에서 10%까지 전체통행시간을 절약할 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다.

  • In order to apply to land mine detection effectively, GPR using an optical electric field sensor as a receiver has been developed. The optical electric field sensor is very small and uses optical fiber instead of metallic coaxial cable. With the combination of these advantages and the bistatic radar system, it can be possible for an operator to measure quite flexible and safely. The sensor has been tested in stepped frequency radar system with frequency which consists of a vector network analyzer, a fixed double ridged horn antenna as transmitter. For considering effectiveness in real field, we applied impulse radar system, which consist of a digital oscilloscope and a impulse generator to produce the impulse. Detection of a PMN2 mine model was carried out by the impulse radar system at a sand pit. The PMN2 were detected clearly with sufficiently high resolution, the target contrast was almost the same while the scanning time decreased down to 1/100.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the educational programs for cultivating balanced view of technical understanding and social impact on Artificial Intelligence (AI). To this end, an educational program based on a constructivist approach was developed. Through an experimental class for middle school students we analyzed the concept and perception of AI and the satisfaction of the class. The main results are as follows. First, students' understanding of the concept and the cases of AI in their daily lives has improved. Second, the recognition of the impact of AI on society has emerged and concern about social impact have been lowered. Third, in terms of program satisfaction, all the factors such as understanding of AI, interest in class, interest in AI were high. With these results, we discussed the implications for AI education in elementary and secondary school.

Discrimination of Private Property Right Protection in the U.S. Urban Regeneration Projects: A Perspective of Legal Geography (미국 도시재생사업과 사유재산권 보호의 차별 - 법제지리학의 관점 -)

  • This paper analyzes the discrimination of private property right protection in urban regeneration projects that is implemented by eminent domain based on public use in the United States. In spite of urban regeneration projects which depends on property condemnation for public use as a coercive power, it is executed on the discrimination of property right and sacrifice of the social disadvantages that transfer property from these private party to another big capitals and private developers. At first this paper investigates research trends in urban regeneration within the framework of multidisciplinary approach and suggests legal geographical perspective as a new research field. Next I figure out current state, types and numbers of brownfields site with the EPA and GAO data, and define these sites as results of deindustrialization and suburbanization process. Finally this paper uncover that the discrimination process of private property right is due to complex actions of expansion of public use concept in the U.S. Supreme Court from public ownership to economic public use, privatization of eminent domain, growth coalition regime and business friendly policy focused on economic development, class and racial bias, neoliberal movements of property right reform.

  • Nuclear medicine imaging devices such as PET diagnose disease after injecting radiopharmaceuticals in human body for diagnosis. Radiopharmaceuticals should maintain the proper pH for human body safety. In general, pH paper is used to measure the pH of the radiopharmaceutical. pH of the sample compared with the standard color chart is used for measurement. However, the pH reading difference according to the experience of a rater can be generated. Also, a pH meter for measuring pH has a high sensitivity and contamination of the sensor must be avoided. In this paper, we developed the new hardware device for pH reading method and software was developed with vision algorithm to measure pH easily and simply.

Consequences of Brand Identity Letter Type for Brand Image (국내기업의 전용서체 개발과 배포가 브랜드 이미지에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzed the consequences of using a company's own letter type for the brand image. After evaluating the brand image of companies that have their own letter types, the study concluded that the fact a company has its own letter type works positively for the brand image. In addition, the survey respondents see the corporate activity for developing letter types as an action for the public interest, and they agree with an argument that each company' own letter type can symbolize the company as CI. By studying literatures in the field of cognitive science, the study indicates that for communication through the letter type with consumers, companies should be careful when choosing their specific letter types and that repetitive exposure to a letter type helps people recognize it through a human experiment.

Development and Effectiveness of the Creative Drama Group Program for the Children with Mental Retardation (지적장애아동의 사회적 능력의 발달을 위한 연극놀이 집단프로그램의 개발 및 효과성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop creative drama group program for children with mental retardation. To develop this program, the study begins with and in depth examination of the prior creative drama models, techniques and constructivism theory. The style of this creative drama program for children with mental retardation is a 24 session structured program, a small group program. The techniques of this creative drama program are a orientation, warming-up, main performance, feedback and sharing. Major findings were as follows. 4 mentally with mental retardation in creative drama group program showed a significant increased social competence. Also, children with mental retardation children showed the positive social skill change through the creative drama group program. Based on these findings, implications for creative drama group program for children with mental retardation were suggested.
