Development of Charging Container for Cutting Steel Plate and Evaluation of its Cutting Performance (강재 절단을 위한 장약용기의 개발과 절단 성능 평가)

  • The shaped charge is used in explosive demolition of steel frame structure, but it was often not used because it was limited to use or impossible to supply at domestic and foreign. To solve this problem, we needed a device that could generate matal jets using industrial explosive. In this study, we made a charging container, which metal jets were generated when explosives were detonated. Cutting performance tests were carried out to evaluate the effect of cutting of a charging container on a steel plate of 25mm thickness. In addition, we compared the results between the numerical simulation of penetration process and cutting performance tests and then was evaluated a cutting performance for steel plates of 35mm and 70mm thickness.

  • 파형강관은 아연도금강판을 물결모양으로 성형하여 나선형으로 조관한 연성관으로 콘크리트 흄관을 대체하여 각종 토목공사의 우수 및 하수관으로 주로 사용되고 있다. 파형강관은 강판에 물결 형상을 성형하여 내하력을 부여하였기 때문에 높은 강도를 지니고 있고, 경량이고 유연성이 있어 기초공사가 쉽고 현장에서의 운반 및 보관이 용이하여 그 활용이 점차 확대되고 있다. 이러한 파형강관의 내/외부에 기능성 고분자 복합 Polymer(다중필름)을 코팅하여 일반 파형강관 대비 더 높은 내식성 및 내마모성을 구현한 제품을 NPE 피복 파형강관이라 하며, 내부에 평판을 2중으로 결합하여 일반 파형강관 대비 통수능력을 개선한 파형강관을 내부평활 파형강관이라고 한다. 최근 파형강관의 활용이 점차 확대되고 있음에도 불구하고, 파형강관에 국한된 수리역학적 특성에 관한 연구는 미흡한 실정이며, 그마저도 주로 만관 혹은 만관에 가까운 상태에서의 흐름만이 고려되어 왔다. 하지만 대구경의 파형 강관이 우수 배관 및 하수 처리를 위하여 설치될 경우 개수로 흐름이 발생하게 된다. 이에, NPE 피복 파형강관과 내부평활 파형강관 내에서의 개수로 흐름을 다양한 유량 및 수심 변화를 통하여 생성하였으며, 각각의 수리학적 조건에서 통수능을 결정하는데 중요한 상수인 조도계수를 수리 실험을 실시하여 결정하였다. 이는 현재 국내에서 생산되고 있는 NPE 피복 파형강관과 내부 평활강관의 활용에 있어서 국제 경쟁력을 높이는데 큰 도움이 될 것이라 사료된다.

Blank Design of SPFH 590 Steel Sheet for Stamping of Center Hinge of Automotive via Analysis of Transfer Forming Process with Multi-Stages (다단 이송 성형 공정 해석을 통한 자동차 센터 힌지 성형용 SPFH 590 고강도 강판 블랭크 설계)

  • The aim of this paper is to design the blank shape of SPFH 590 high strength steel for stamping of the center hinge of automotive via numerical analyses and experiments for multi-stages transfer forming process. Three-dimensional elasto-plastic finite element analyses for the transfer forming process with six stages were performed using a commercial code AUTOFORM V4.2. The influence of the blank shape on the formability and the shape conformity were quantitatively examined through the FE analyses. From the results of the FE analysis, a feasible shape of the blank and the forming load were estimated. Stamping experiments were carried out using the proposed blank shape. The results of experiments were shown that the center hinge parts with the desired shapes can be manufactured successfully as the proposed blank shape is used. Through the comparison of the results of the experiments with those of the analyses, it was shown that the estimation of blank shape using the FE analysis is a proper methodology to create a feasible shape of the blank for the center hinge of automotive.

  • 연자성 분말의 독특한 특성은 3D 등방성 강자성체 이며, 이 때문에 3차원적 자속(flux)를 활용할 수 있어 전기 강판(sillicon steel)에 비해 3차원 성형시 유리한 장점을 가지고 있다는 점이다.[1] 따라서 본 논문에서는 연자성 분말 (Soft Magnetic Composites)의 3차원 성형시 각 성형 형태에 따른 압분 시료의 전기적, 기계적 특성에 대한 연구를 하였다. 연자성 분말의 코어 형상을 크게 ' '형으로 구분하여 압분 코어를 만든 후 압분 코어의 Overhang 각도 및 코어 Teeth의 길이에 따른 파라미터에 변화를 주어 철손 및 경도, 밀도를 측정 하였다. 이 논문에서 우리는 3차원 코어 성형시 전기적, 기계적 특성이 가장 우수한 코어 성형 조건을 연구해 낼 수 있었다.

  • Development on the mechanical properties of steel sheet for the automobile body panel is very important in the BAF(Batch annealing furnace) annealing process. Because of the heat treatment method in the BAF, mechanical properties was decided on the heat treatment method of the coil. So, we tested on the development of mechanical properties according to heat treatment method at the annealing furnace using the Ax atmospheric gas and the HNx atmospheric gas. As a result of several investigations. We confirmed the following characteristics ; mechanical properties was changed under the influence of the annealing cycle, the heat treatment method and the atmospheric gas. And, elongation in the HNx BAF was better than the Ax BAF. Finally, most important thing in the BAF is using proper annealing cycle in order to get a good quality.

$CO_2$ Laser Beam Welding and Formability of Steel Plates with Different Thicknesses (이종두께 강판의 $CO_2$ 레이저 용접 및 성형성)

  • The maximum butt-joint gap size in $CO_2$ laser beam welding of SAPH steel plates with different thicknesses and its bending formability were studied. In the range of the gap size$\geq$0.1mm, the optimal butt welding speed was faster than that of no gap (air gap) condition. This behaviour was independent on the difference of thickness at any combination. Also, the allowable gap size in steel plates with different thicknesses was larger than with same thicknesses. In the range of $T/T_0$(bead shape) $\geq$ 0.8, good bending formability was obtained at any combination of thickness. The formability was improved by reducing the hardness in weld bead using pre-heating process. Finally, FEM result of the laser beam welded underframe with different thicknesses was compared to that of the conventional spot welded underframe.

  • In order to improve the sheet formability of the ferritic stainless steel, the through-thickness textures of the recrystallized sample was modified by means of a thermomechanical treatment. An annealing process between the cold rolling reductions modified the preferred orientations throughout the thickness, which resulted in the modification of the final cold rolling texture as well as the final recrystallization texture. With the help of the modification of the recrystallization texture by the intermediate annealing, improvement of the sheet formability, i.e. an increase of the Lankford value.

  • The warm deep drawability in square cup drawing is investigated about a newly developed high-strength steel sheet with retained austenite which is transformed into martensite during forming. For this investigation, six steps of temperature ranges, from room temperature to $250^{\circ}C$, and five kinds of drawing ratio, from 2.2 to 2.6 were adopted. As a result the maximum drawing force and the maximum drawing depth were affected by the elevated temperatures, and the more stable thickness strain distribution was observed to the elevated temperatures. But blue shortness happened over $200^{\circ}C$. The FEM analysis using the LS-DYNA code is adopted to compare the experimental results with the analytical results for thickness strain distribution.
