Analysis of Users' Emotions on Lighting Effect of Artificial Intelligence Devices (인공지능 디바이스의 조명효과에 대한 사용자의 감정 평가 분석)

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has been evolving to recognize and learn the languages, voice tones, and facial expressions of users so that they can respond to users' emotions in various contexts. Many AI-based services of particular importance in communications with users provide emotional interaction. However, research on nonverbal interaction as a means of expressing emotion in the AI system is still insufficient. We studied the effect of lighting on users' emotional interaction with an AI device, focusing on color and flickering motion. The AI device used in this study expresses emotions with six colors of light (red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white) and with a three-level flickering effect (high, middle, and low velocity). We studied the responses of 50 men and women in their 20s and 30s to the emotions expressed by the light colors and flickering effects of the AI device. We found that each light color represented an emotion that was largely similar to the user's emotional image shown in a previous color-sensibility study. The rate of flickering of the lights produced changes in emotional arousal and balance. The change in arousal patterns produced similar intensities of all colors. On the other hand, changes in balance patterns were somewhat related to the emotional image in the previous color-sensibility study, but the colors were different. As AI systems and devices are becoming more diverse, our findings are expected to contribute to designing the users emotional with AI devices through lighting.

  • This research focused on the moderating role of the influence an expectation exerts on a performance by a regional festival and the experience to get visitor's feeling and satisfaction. A survey design was used for the last analysis targeted for the respondent who experienced an experience directly targeted for the regional where a regional festival is promoted actively targeted for the visitor. Results are show a positive influence on the expectation exerts on a performance of festival. In addition, it was confirmed that festival experience activity the role important to feeling and satisfaction of a visitor. We suggest, therefore, that it has to raise the efficiency of the strengthening of an experience program to raise an performance of festival participants and the festival manage to draw out the various feeling formation and satisfaction through participation customers' segmentation.

Combining Sentimental Expression-level and Sentence-level Classifiers to Improve Subjective Sentence Classification (감정 표현구 단위 분류기와 문장 단위 분류기의 결합을 통한 주관적 문장 분류의 성능 향상)

  • Subjective sentences express opinions, emotions, evaluations and other subjective ideas relevant to products or events. These expressions sometimes can be seen in only part of a sentence, thus extracting features from a full-sentence can degrade the performance of subjective-sentence-classification. This paper presents a method for improving the performance of a subjectivity classifier by combining two classifiers generated from the different representations of an input sentence. One representation is a sentimental phrase that represents an automatically identified subjective expression or objective expression and the other representation is a full-sentence. Each representation is used to extract modified n-grams that are composed of a word and its contextual words' polarity information. The best performance, 79.7% accuracy, 2.5% improvement, was obtained when the phrase-level classifier and the sentence-level classifier were merged.

Effective Pose-based Approach with Pose Estimation for Emotional Action Recognition (자세 예측을 이용한 효과적인 자세 기반 감정 동작 인식)

  • Early researches in human action recognition have focused on tracking and classifying articulated body motions. Such methods required accurate segmentation of body parts, which is a sticky task, particularly under realistic imaging conditions. Recent trends of work have become popular towards the use of more and low-level appearance features such as spatio-temporal interest points. Given the great progress in pose estimation over the past few years, redefined views about pose-based approach are needed. This paper addresses the issues of whether it is sufficient to train a classifier only on low-level appearance features in appearance approach and proposes effective pose-based approach with pose estimation for emotional action recognition. In order for these questions to be solved, we compare the performance of pose-based, appearance-based and its combination-based features respectively with respect to scenario of various emotional action recognition. The experiment results show that pose-based features outperform low-level appearance-based approach of features, even when heavily spoiled by noise, suggesting that pose-based approach with pose estimation is beneficial for the emotional action recognition.

Multi-Time Window Feature Extraction Technique for Anger Detection in Gait Data

  • In this paper, we propose a technique of multi-time window feature extraction for anger detection in gait data. In the previous gait-based emotion recognition methods, the pedestrian's stride, time taken for one stride, walking speed, and forward tilt angles of the neck and thorax are calculated. Then, minimum, mean, and maximum values are calculated for the entire interval to use them as features. However, each feature does not always change uniformly over the entire interval but sometimes changes locally. Therefore, we propose a multi-time window feature extraction technique that can extract both global and local features, from long-term to short-term. In addition, we also propose an ensemble model that consists of multiple classifiers. Each classifier is trained with features extracted from different multi-time windows. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed feature extraction technique and ensemble model, a public three-dimensional gait dataset was used. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed ensemble model achieves the best performance compared to machine learning models trained with existing feature extraction techniques for four performance evaluation metrics.

A Study on the Relationship between Mathematical Creativity and Psychological Types in Middle School Students (수학 창의성과 성격유형과의 관계 연구)

  • 본 연구는 중학교 2학년 141명의 학생을 대상으로 수학 창의성(Mathematical Creative Problem Solving Ability Test: KEDI, 1997)과 성격유형(Murphy-Meisgeier Type Indicator for Children: 심혜숙 김정택, 1993)과의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 자료 분석은 중학생의 성격 특성을 알아보기 위하여 유형별로 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였고, 성격유형에 따른 수학 창의성의 차이를 검증하기 위하여 평한, 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA와 Duncan 사후검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 일반 중학교 2학년과 비교해 볼 때, 선호지표에서 연구 집단의 중학생은 표준화집단(심혜숙 김정택, 1993)보다 I(2.7%), J(3.9%)가 높았다. 두 번째, 수학 창의성과 성격유형을 살펴본 결과, 기질적 측면에서 유창성, 융통성, 수학 창의성 전체에서 NF형이 SJ, SP형에 비해 의미 있게 높았고, SJ형도 SP형에 비해 의미 있게 높게 나타났다. 세 번째, 성격유형 중에서 어떤 요인이 중학교 2학년의 수학 창의성을 잘 예측해 주는지를 살펴본 결과, 직관(N), 내향(I)이 수학 창의성의 예인변인으로서 유의하였다. 이러한 결과와 관련하여 수학 창의성 검사도구 및 수학창의성 프로그램 개발 시 직관과 내향을 우선적으로 고려하여야 한다. 네 번째 NT와 {SP, SJ, NF}는 통계적으로 유의미하게 같은 수준의 집단이 아니므로 직관적사고형(NT)이 감각적 감정형(SF), 감각적 사고형(ST), 직관적 감정형(NF)과는 독립된 특별한 요인으로 보인다. 직관적사고형(NT)은 조사와 개념 학습이나 소크라테스식의 문답법적인 학습과 문제해결학습을 선호하고 독립심이 지지되는 분위기의 학급을 선호한다. 따라서 수학 창의성 증진과 관련된 교육과정이나 프로그램개발 시 조사와 개념 학습이나 소크라테스식의 문답법적인 학습과 문제해결학습을 우선적으로 고려하여야 할 것이다. 연구 결과와 관련하여 연구의 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상이 특정지역의 중학교 2학년 학생이므로 연구결과를 우리나라 중학교 2학년으로 일반화시키는데는 무리가 있을 수 있다. 따라서 후속연구에서는 연구대상의 표집을 확대하여 볼 필요가 있다. 둘째, 수학 창의성과 성격유형간의 관계와 관련하여 수학 창의성과 성격유형의 각 하위 차원들 간에 적률 상관계수를 통해 상관관계를 분석해 보는 것이 필요하다. 셋째 직관과 내향 및 조사와 개념 학승이나 소크라테스식의 문답법적인 학습과 문제해결학습을 고려한 수학 창의성 프로그램이 개발할 필요가 있다.

A Study on the learning styles in an e-learning and Psychological Types in University Student (대학생의 e-러닝 학습양식과 성격유형에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the University students' learning styles in an e-learning according to the major field and learning styles in an e-learning according to the psychological types. The results of the research are as follows: First, The Major field made no difference to the learning styles in e-learning. E-learning styles of University student are as follows : the environment-dependent and self-directed learning style, positive and cooperative learning style, environment-independent and self-directed learning style. Second, In comparison with the boys and girl's the learning styles in e-learning, there were individual differences. But the environment-dependent and self-taught learning style was the highest learning style in Boys and Girl's but, especially there was more high in Girl's. Third, Amount to use internet made no difference to the learning styles in e-learning. The difference of learning styles in an e-learning environment according to Extraversion-Introversion, Sensing-Intuition, Thinking-Feeling among Psychological Types were statistically meaningless.

  • 최근 자연어 처리 분야에서 문맥적 의미를 반영하기 위한 대조학습 (contrastive learning) 에 대한 연구가 활발히 이뤄지고 있다. 이 때 대조학습을 위한 양질의 학습 (training) 데이터와 검증 (validation) 데이터를 이용하는 것이 중요하다. 그러나 한국어의 경우 대다수의 데이터셋이 영어로 된 데이터를 한국어로 기계 번역하여 검토 후 제공되는 데이터셋 밖에 존재하지 않는다. 이는 기계번역의 성능에 의존하는 단점을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국어 리뷰 데이터로 임베딩의 의미 반영 정도를 측정할 수 있는 간단한 검증 데이터셋 구축 방법을 제안하고, 이를 활용한 데이터셋인 SimKoR (Similarity Korean Review dataset) 을 제안한다. 제안하는 검증 데이터셋을 이용해서 대조학습을 수행하고 효과성을 보인다.

  • This thesis examines the play education method shown in the elementary school textbook 'Enjoy Play'. If the educational methods of the curriculum other than plays were presented in the order of 'Understanding play - Appreciation of Works - Creation of Works', the method of drama education is presented sequentially in the order of 'Understanding play - Creation of Works - Appreciation of Works' in the order of 'Understanding play - Artwork - Appreciation' have. Even if such a curriculum considers the study linked to the subject of 'Plays', students may not feel the 'burden' of 'creation', and by simplifying the understanding of 'spoken language', it is rather the characteristic of 'Korean language'. It may also make it difficult for students to feel the attraction. In addition, empathy through the conflict situation of the play or comparison with the actual conflict is mainly presented through the translation of foreign works or the expression of a fairy tale and fantastic world that is far from reality, so the burden of inferring the right life problems can be confirmed. Theatrical expressions and plays and plays learned through textbooks are partially different depending on the educational goals to be achieved. The result of this study is that the course of textbooks for elementary and upper grades may correspond to the problem of expressing 'Plays', but it is regrettable in leading students to think about ways to solve life problems in detail through 'Plays'. It is also necessary to emphasize the importance of expression that makes students realize how to express themselves autonomously in the way of expressing their feelings, but on the other hand, on the other hand, it is necessary to share empathy with feelings first, understand these feelings, Therefore, it was suggested that training to infer expressions and emotions by learning individual expressions through methods of expressing emotions and a process of educating students to voluntarily accept shared emotions are also necessary.   • Recently, robots technique has been developed remarkably. Emotion recognition is necessary to make an intimate robot. This paper shows the simulator and simulation result which recognize or classify emotions by learning pitch pattern. Also, because the pitch is not sufficient for recognizing emotion, we added acoustic elements. For that reason, we analyze the relation between emotion and acoustic elements. The simulator is composed of the DRNN(Dynamic Recurrent Neural Network), Feature extraction. DRNN is a learning algorithm for pitch pattern.
