The data were collected from 356 parents in southern Gyung-gi-do and data analysis was done through structural equation modeling using AMOS 26.0. The study results show that the Integrating style of teachers was positively related to the parents' intention of re-registration. Trust in teacher was found to have an mediation effect on the Integrating, the Avoiding and the Compromising styles and re-registration intentions and oral transmission intentions of parents respectively. The results imply the importance of conflict management styles and building trust for enhancing the parents' behavioral intentions.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the variables which had effects on the organizational communication satisfaction(OCS) based on the relationship between organizational members' personality types and conflict resolution styles. A questionnaire survey including social style profile and OCS scale was carried out with the various organizational members. The results showed that there were significant differences on the ways to resolve the conflicts according to personality types. The members who tended to assert their opinions with confidence had a high level of OCS. The results of path analysis on the variables influencing the OCS revealed that among the conflict resolution styles, the problem solving style and compromise style were associated with the OCS-social relationship. In contrast, the blaming style and imposing style were related with the degree of OCS-task. The members' individualistic variables such as organizational status and sex were important factors in explaining the differences of conflict resolution styles and the OCS. In conclusion, this study showed that the matching of conflict resolution styles with the members' task characteristics is a crucial factor in the production of effective organizational outcomes. The limitations of this study were reported along with the suggestions for the future studies.

  • This study is a descriptive research study to determine differences in conflict management types according to MBTI preference indicators among nursing students. Data collection was from August 30 to September 30, 2023. Data analysis was performed using independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe's. As a result of the study, among the MBTI indicators showing significant differences in conflict management types, 'i' had higher avoidance than 'E' in the energy direction (t=-3.776, <0.01). In the case of decision-making function, F had higher concession (t=-3.478, <0.01) and avoidance (t=-3.389, <0.01) than T, and T had higher dominance than F (t=2.070, <0.5). In terms of external life coping style, J had higher cooperation (t=2.756, <0.01) and compromise (t=2.044, <0.5) than P. In MBTI's psychological function types, the NF type had higher concessions than the ST type (F=4.174, <0.05), and the SF type had higher avoidance than the ST type (F=4.202, <0.05). The results of analyzing the differences in conflict management types by combining the MBTI decision-making function type and external life coping style showed that the FJ type was more cooperative than the FP type (F=2.907, <0.05), and the FJ type was more cooperative than the TP type (F =4.662, <0.01), and the FJ type had higher avoidance than the TJ type (F=3.327, <0.05). MBTI's attitude index showed that the EJ type had higher cooperation than the EP type (F=2.817, <0.05), and the IP type had significantly higher avoidance than the EP type (F=4.551, <0.01). This study is significant in confirming differences in conflict management types by combining MBTI decision-making function types (F, T) and external life coping styles (J, P), which have not been studied in Korea to date. In the follow-up study, we propose research on conflict management types by MBTI personality type by reflecting the results of this study and expanding the number of subjects, development of conflict management programs by MBTI indicators and personality types, and analysis of program effectiveness.

  • Given the few studies on the responsibilities of assembly, government, and president for social conflicts, this study analyzes the influence of conflict causes upon that responsibilities. First, the need for the mediation mechanisms for dealing with social conflicts and the level of labor-management conflict are positively associated with the responsibilities of assembly, government, and president. Second, the levels of conflict between social strata and ideological conflict are positively related with the responsibility of assembly or president. Third, interdependence and mutual understanding between stakeholder, among independent variables, are positively associated with the responsibilities of assembly and president. Finally, all of the levels of conflict types, except the level of ideological conflict, moderate the effects of conflict causes on the responsibilities of assembly, government, and president. These results reflect the importance of managerial and institutional approaches to the conflict resolution focused on conflict causes and types.
