중소병원 간호사의 간호전문직관, 학습민첩성, 간호근무환경이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Nursing Professionalism, Learning Agility, and Nursing Practice Environment on Nurses' Performance in Small and Medium Hospitals)

  • Purpose: This study attempted to discern the factors that influence nursing professionalism, learning agility, and the nursing practice environment on the performance of nurses. Methods: Data were collected from 202 clinical nurses who both consented to participate and who have worked for more than one year in one of five small- and medium-sized hospitals located in three regions of Korea. The data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 26.0 statistical programs. Results: The nurses' performance showed a statistically significant correlation with nursing professionalism (r=.50, p<.001), learning agility (r=.54, p<.001), and nursing practice environment (r=.37, p<.001). Factors affecting the results of nurses' performance in relation to the subjects are those of learning agility (β=.33, p<.001), nursing professionalism (β=.25, p<.001), clinical career (β=.24, p=.001), education level (β=.16, p=.011), and nursing practice environment (β=.15, p=.016). Conclusion: To improve the performance of nurses in medium-sized hospitals, it is necessary to develop a nursing practice environment, programs, and strategies for enhancing nursing professionalism and learning agility.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to prepare basic data for the development of a nursing intervention program to improve nursing performance by identifying the factors affecting nursing performance in an integrated nursing care service ward. Methods: Participants were 166 nurses who had worked for more than six months in the integrated nursing care service wards of three general hospitals located in B city. Data were collected from July 15 to August 30, 2022 using structured questionnaires and analyzed by T-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple linear regression using the IBM SPSS/WIN 25.0 statistical program. Results: Factors affecting the nursing performance of participants were age (β=.58, p<.001), positive psychological capital (β=.41, p<.001), and social support (β=.28, p<.001). The total explanatory power of these variables for nursing performance was 55.8%. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest the need for programs that improve psychological capital and social support while considering nurse's age to enhance their performance in nursing integrated service wards.

간호사의 일터영성과 조직시민행동이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Workplace Spirituality and Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Nursing Performance)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of workplace spirituality and organizational citizenship behavior on nurses' performance of nursing. Methods: This study was done over a 6 month period, with 395 nurses participants from 5 different general hospitals with 400 beds in 4 regions of Korea. Data were gathered using self-reported questionnaires from July 23 to August 21, 2015. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analyses with IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Results: Nursing performance showed positive correlations with workplace spirituality and organizational citizenship behavior. The significant predictors of the nursing performance by nurses were a master's degree or higher (${\beta}=.26$), civic virtue (${\beta}=.19$), courtesy (${\beta}=.12$), 40 years of age or older (${\beta}=.09$), a sense of empathy (${\beta}=.07$), and a bachelor's degree in nursing (${\beta}=.06$). These variables explained 39.2% of the variance in nursing performance by nurses. Conclusion: Based on the outcomes of this study, there is a need to develop intervention programs that can inspire nurse to show spontaneous organizational citizenship behavior, and enhance their workplace spirituality. Related variables including academic credentials should also be taken into account.

간호 퍼포먼스에 관한 국내 연구의 통합적 고찰 (Integrative literature review of nursing performance in Korea)

  • 최근 의료 서비스의 질 향상과 환자 안전에 대한 관심이 대두되면서 간호 업무수행에 대한 중요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 현재까지 수행된 간호사의 업무수행과 관련된 국내 연구들을 분석함으로써 이들 연구들의 현황 및 문제점을 조사하고 추후 연구의 발전방향을 제시하고자 시도되었다. 간호 퍼포먼스 관련 연구 33편 중 25편은 서술적 상관관계 연구였다. 간호 퍼포먼스를 측정한 도구에 있어서는 15편에서 Park (1989)의 도구 및 이를 기반으로 수정한 도구가 사용되었다. 간호 퍼포먼스에 대한 용어 사용과 정의에 있어서는 일치된 합의가 없었다. 대부분의 연구에서 간호 퍼포먼스를 리더십이나, 임파워먼트 등의 요소들에 의해 영향을 받는 결과값으로 설계하였다. 따라서 추후 연구에서는 국내 간호사의 퍼포먼스에 대한 개념적 기틀을 구축할 것을 제언하며, 간호 퍼포먼스가 의료 환경의 구조적, 과정적, 결과적 변수와는 어떠한 상호관련성을 가지는 지를 총체적으로 확인해보는 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

간호사의 간호역량이 직무만족과 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (An Analysis of Nursing Competency affecting on Job Satisfaction and Nursing Performance among Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of nursing competency of nurses on job satisfaction and nursing performance. Method: Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected from 368 nurses. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test and pearson correlation coefficient with SAS package were used for data analysis. Results: The total mean score for nursing competency was 2.65, with scores for subcategories as follows: ethical competency 2.74, personal competency 2.65, esthetical competency 2.64, and scientific competency 2.61. The mean score of total job satisfaction was 3.18 on a 5 point scale, and nursing performance was 2.97 on a 4 point scale. Total nursing competency and total subcategories of nursing competency perceived by nurses were positively related to job satisfaction and nursing performance. Conclusion: In conclusion, nursing competency of nurses influence job satisfaction and nursing performance. With these result, it is necessary to concentrate on improving nursing competency of nurses to increase job satisfaction and nursing performance.

일반병동 간호인력 확보수준과 간호업무성과 분석 (An Analysis of Nurse Staffing Level and Nursing Performance in the General Unit)

  • Purpose: To examine the relationship between nurse staffing level and nurse perception of nursing performance. Method: The subjects of this study were 724 nurses from 70 medical or surgical wards in 23 hospitals from February to March 2006. A self-reporting questionnaire, which was developed by the researcher through a preceding study, was used. In data analysis, SAS program was utilized for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Tukey test. Results: The mean score of the nursing performance was 53.3. The mean of bed-to nurse ratio was 3.39:1. The study revealed a negative correlation between bed-to nurse ratio and the nurses' perception of nursing performance. There was a significant relationship between above 3.5:1 and below 2.5:1(F=4.59, p=0.010). Conclusion: We found that the higher the nurse staffing, the better the nursing performance. It is recommended that future research measures nurses' performance and nursing organizational performance using objective measurement tools including clinical indicators.

간호간병통합서비스 운영병동 간호사의 간호업무성과, 직무 만족 및 환자안전사고 (Effects of Nursing and Care=giving Integrated Service on nursing work performance, nurses' job satisfaction and patient safety)

  • Purpose: To study aimed to examine the impact of the Nursing and Care=giving Integrated Service on nursing work performance, nurse' job satisfaction, and patient safety. Methods: A total of 66 nurses were selected as participants, comprising 30 nurses working in Nursing and Care=giving Integrated Service hospital ward, and 33 nurses working in a general hospital ward with a similar patient and disease group and distributed moderately. For data analysis, t-tests, ANOVA, and $X^2$ tests were conducted. Results: Nursing work performance in the Nursing and Care=giving Integrated Service ward was higher than that in the general hospital ward, but this difference was not statistically significant. Conversely, job satisfaction was lower among nurses in the Nursing and Care=giving Integrated Service ward, although again the difference was not significant. However, the Nursing and Care=giving Integrated Service ward had a significantly lower rate of safety-related accidents in patients compared to the general hospital ward. Conclusion: In order to expand and improve patient safety and other aspects of the Nursing and Care=giving Integrated Service, there is a need to establish a mediation strategy for increasing nurses' work performance and job satisfaction.

응급실 간호사의 회복탄력성, 분노표현양식이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Resilience and Anger Expression Style on Nursing Work Performance in Emergency Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of nurses' resilience and anger expression styles on their nursing work performance in emergency departments. Methods: The study included 107 nurses from 5 hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do who consented to participate. Data ware collected from March to April 2016. Multiple regression analysis was used to identify factors influencing nurses' performance. Results: Nurses' performance was higher when resilience was high and anger expression was low. The result of the multiple regression indicated that present working years in the emergency room, work satisfaction, anger expression, anger control, and resilience predicted 39.4% (F=7.27, p<.001) of the nursing performance of hospital nurses in emergency departments. The most powerful predictor was resilience (${\beta}=.45$, p<.001), followed by anger-out (${\beta}=-.25$, p=.006). Conclusion: This study showed that the most influential variables of work performance in emergency nurses ware resilience and anger expression. To enhance the nursing performance of hospital nurses in emergency departments, it is necessary to develop and implement mentorship programs that enhance resilience and educational programs that help them manage their anger.

코로나19 상황에서 간호사의 간호업무수행 영향요인 (The Influence Factors on Nursing Practice by Clinical Nurses (in the COVID-19 Situation))

  • 본 연구의 목적은 코로나19 상황에서 임상간호사의 간호업무수행에 영향을 주는 영향요인을 파악하여 간호업무수행 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 본 연구는 서술적 연구로서 G시에서 임상간호사로 근무하고 있는 119명을 대상으로 2022년 6월 15일부터 7월 20일까지 설문지를 이용하여 자료수집 하였다. 분석을 위해 서술적 통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, Multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 감염관리수행(r=.553, p<.001), 회복탄력성(r=.286, p<.001)이 간호업무수행에 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 임상간호사의 간호업무 수행에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 감염관리수행(B=.529, p<.001)이 18.3% 설명력을 나타냈다. 이와 같은 결과는 코로나19 유행상황에서 코로나19 감염관리 자체가 간호업무수행에 새로운 업무부담으로 작용했기 때문으로 생각된다. 반면 회복탄력성과 직무스트레스가 영향력을 미치지 못하였다. 그러나, 본 연구대상자의 직무스트레스가 매우 높아 임상간호사의 주기적인 상담을 통해 임상간호사의 직무스트레스를 낮추어 양질의 간호업무 수행이 가능하게 해야 할 것이다.

간호사의 유머감각, 자존감과 간호업무성과와의 관계 (Relationship among Sense of Humor, Self-esteem, and Performance in Nurses)

  • Purpose: The study was done to identify relations among sense of humor, self-esteem, and performance in nurses. Methods: Data were collected by questionnaires from 198 nurses in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Measures were sense of humor, self-esteem, and performance. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients, t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 13.0 version. Results: This study shows that performance of nurses has significant difference according to age, marriage, education level, income and clinical experience. The performance of nurses has positive correlation with their sense of humor and self-esteem. The higher clinical experience, sense of humor, and self-esteem they have, the better performance they make. The factors that affect performance of nurses are clinical experience, sense of humor and self-esteem. The degree of explanation is 36.5%. Conclusion: Knowing that sense of humor and self-esteem of nurse are significant factors which can cause nurses' better performance, we suggest an education program that can help nurses to develop and manage their sense of humor.
