The collected data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlations. The study showed political interest 3.35(maximum 5 points), economic interest 3.76(maximum 5 points), sociocultural interest 4.15(maximum 5 points), and intention of maintaining the nursing job were 3.40(maximum 5 points). In the correlation between variables, the correlation coefficient between political interest and sociocultural skill(r=.385, p<.01) was high, and economic interest and overall sociocultural interest were the most correlated(r=.534, p<.01). For the correlation with intention of maintaining the nursing job, sociocultural behavioral intention(r=.158, p<.01) and attitude(r=.131, p<.01) were statistically significant. Based on the results, repeated studies including political, economic, and sociocultural interest as variables influencing intention of maintaining the nursing job and future research on systematic and diverse educational programs including sociocultural attitudes and behavioral intention are suggested so the nursing job can be maintained for longer time as a profession.

  • This study was conducted to construct and test structural equation modeling of the causal relationship of job satisfaction of nursing staff with satisfaction, revisit intention and recommendation of the hospital by patients. The data utilized in this study were the second data acquired from the 2012 Public Hospital Evaluation Programme. The subjects of this study were 2,375 nursing staff and 3,433 patients at 39 district public hospitals. The instrument of job satisfaction of nursing staff consisted of five factors and 13 items. The instruments of satisfaction, revisit intention, and recommendation to others of patients consisted of one question on an 11 point scale (0: very negative, 10: very positive). The data were analyzed using SPSS version 20.0 and AMOS version 20.0. Model fit indices for the hypothetical model were suitable for the recommended level: model of in-patient ${\chi}^2$ 904.598 (df=81, p<0.001), GFI 0.938, AGFI 0.900, RMSR 0.076, mode of out-patient ${\chi}^2$ 869.021(df=81, p<0.001), GFI 0.940, AGFI 0.900, RMSR 0.074. In conclusion, nursing staff are the largest group in public hospitals, and they provide direct care to patients. Therefore, job satisfaction of nursing staff should be enhanced to improve satisfaction of patients because their attitude significantly influences patient satisfaction.

A structured questionnaire was used from November 1, 2018 to November 27, 2018 for data collection. The SPSS/WIN 21.0 program was used for the collected data and the data was analyzed by t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Result: The major factors influencing the intention to work were satisfaction with their academic major (β=.54, p<.001), and the career after employment in a hospital) (β=.28, p<.001). The explanatory power was 46.5% (F=51.00, p<.001). Conclusion: To increase the satisfaction of studying nursing, it is necessary to apply various educational programs to positively recognize the nursing profession and a nurse's image and increase optimism and social efficacy. There is a need to develop a tool to measure the intention of obtaining long-term nursing jobs for nursing students in hospitals. The collected data was analyzed using frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations and paired t-test by employing the SPSS WIN 24.0 computer program. The program consisted of four parts and was operated for 3 hours and 30 minutes, and three domestic documentaries were applied. The study crafting of nursing students increased after the education but there was no statistical significance for this. The nursing recognition was significant (t=-4.49, p<.001) In detail, traditional image, social image and nursing prospect were significant (t=-2.13, p=.036; t=-5.09, p<.001; t=-4.17, p=<.001). Satisfaction with the use of documentaries averaged 4.54 points, as detailed items, the satisfaction with the learning method was 4.54, the satisfaction with the contents of the education was 4.62 points, the benefit was 4.56, the interest was 4.44 and the interest induction was 4.55 points. This study showed that documentaries could be used as a teaching and learning method because the documentaries had a positive effect on nursing students' recognition of nursing and satisfaction of education.
