Near field scanning optical interferometer using facet reflection of a tapered optical fiber (광섬유 탐침의 반사를 이용한 파면 분석 근접장 주사 광간섭계)

  • We propose a near- field scanning optical interferometer (NSOI) based on the facet reflection of a nano-sized moveable tapered optical fiber. The interferometer can measure the position and the wave-front of a focused spot simultaneously. The interfering fringes are generated by the reflected beams from the sample surface and from the fiber facet. The wave-front analysis at the focusing position is obtained by using a phase shifting technique with a four-step algorithm. It is found that the resolution for controlling the focal position of our proposed NSOI is less than λ/3 and the measured wave-front aberration at the focal position is in good agreement with the ones obtained by a Twyman-Green interferometer.

  • 본 논문에서는 변형 삼각간섭계를 이용한 간섭패턴 생성과 관련한 몇 가지 실험결과를 제시한다. Two-pupil 합성 방법을 이용하여 변형 삼각간섭계의 광전달함수를 합성하고 광전달함수에 내포된 오차에 대한 원인을 분석해 보았다.

  • We present spectroscopic methods to analyze the structural parameters of tandem Fabry-Perot interferometers. By using laser beams of two different frequencies by several tens of GHz, we investigated the cavity spacings of the two interferometers and ways to measure and to find the limitation of the neccesary conditions between the two interferometers. All of the theoretical results has been also confirmed experimentally.ntally.

  • Radio interferences have been a frequent problem on the TRS service, which has been in operation in the southern coastal area of Korea since 1994. By Korea-Japan joint analysis, the main reasons of the radio interferences are due to the radio ducting signal from the seaside of Japan. As the mobile services become spreading in China as well as Japan, interference problems between Korea and China will occur more frequently in various frequency bands. Therefore, in this paper we propose a method for measurement and analysis of the radio interference signal, and summarize the measurement results of interference from China, which was performed to solve the interference problem between Korea and China.

  • It is necessary to apply SSB modulation method with high bandwidth efficiency to the DS-CDMA mobile communication systems in order to accommodate the increasing number of voice users as well as the broad band and high data rate service in the future. Even though the bandwidth efficiency increases if SSB modulation is applied to BPSK-DS/CDMA, its performance gets degraded because of the increased multiple access interference. Therefore for eliminating the increased multiple access interference, the SSB/BPSK-DS/CDMA with successive interference canceller(SIC) is proposed and its performance and capacity are analyzed. With the limited system bandwidth, it is shown that the SSB/BPSK-DS/CDMA with SIC can accommodate more capacity than the conventional BPSK-DS/CDMA with SIC.

  • TD-CDMA is based on a combination of CDMA, TDMA, and TDD technologies, and it is proposed to support TDD mode for IMT-2000 service. To analyze the performance of TD-CDMA, we have to establish a modeling technique that takes into account the interference that can occur in each scheme. There is special interference in TDD mode, e.g. interference from base station to base station and from mobile to mobile. In this paper, we present an interference model for analyzing the performance of TD-CDMA systems and the slot allocation strategies. This model includes the cell synchronization error. As a result, this paper shows that almost equal slot allocation and low cell synchronization error guarantee desirable performance in TD-CDMA.

  • This paper presents the impacts of Ultra Wide-Band(UWB) system applied in Indoor and Handhold communications using frequency band from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz on Wireless Broad-band(WiBro) system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) using frequency of 2.3 GHz. The Minimum Coupling Loss(MCL) method for the case of single interference and Monte Carlo(MC) simulation for multiple interference considering practical scenario were used to evaluate the interference effects of UWB system on WiBro system. As a result, the minimum separation distance between single interferer and the victim receiver required 34.4 m and above to guarantee the co-existence. Also, the UWB transmitting PSD of around - 81 dBm / MHz below should be required to meet the minimum throughput loss of WiBro mobile station in case of multiple UWB interference.

Analysis of Radio Interference for Korean NDGPS Reference Station using Medium Frequency Band (중파대역을 사용하는 국내 NDGPS 기준국의 전파 간섭 분석)

  • The Korean DGPS station transmits the 200 bps GPS enhancement signal using the MSK modulation in frequency range of 283.5 kHz to 325 kHz. The land-based stations of 6 sites provide the service area of 80 km with the output power of 500 W. The ocean-based stations of 11 sites provide the output power of 300 W, which provide the DGPS service to 185 kM. Some places are serviced from two or three DGPS stations. The interferences among the DGPS stations using the high power can be occurred. Also, the performances of the user terminasl in dual service area can be degraded. In this paper, the protection ratios for the DGPS service are defined. Using the MF wave propagation model, the interferences among the DGPS stations and the adjacent wireless ground stations are analyzed. Also, the performances of DGPS user terminals are analyzed in the viewpoint of interference.

An Analysis on the RFI of Non-GSO/MSS System into M/W Radio Stations (M / W 무선국에 미치는 비정지궤도 이동위성 시스템의 전파간섭 분석)

  • In this paper, interference of non-GSO/MSS system into M/W radio stations has been analyzed as two aspects. One is that PDF(Power Flux Density) levels, which are received by M/W radio stations from non-GSO satellites, were simulated and compared with the threshold level specified in ITU-R SF.357. The other is that C/I values, which have been utilized in estimating interference between conventional fixed services, were simulated and analyzed by means of calculating excess time percent and duration below the C/I protection ratio. As the results, it was shown that interference levels received by M/W stations from non- GSO/MSS satellites don't exceed above the threshold level at all, even if changing parameters related with M/W stations. In addition, the excess percent time below the interference protection ratio is a long term of 32% in the case of Iridium interfering into a M/W stations route, but only a short term of 1.71% in the case of Globalstar interfering into a M/W stations route.

  • UWB 시스템은 매우 넓은 주파수 대역에 걸쳐 스펙트럼이 발생하기 때문에 기존에 공존하는 협대역 시스템의 신호로부터 간섭의 영향을 받게 된다. 이는 협대역 신호가 UWB 신호 대역폭에 유입되는 부분 대역 간섭으로 고려 할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 협대역 간섭 모델을 대역 점유율에 따른 부분대역 간섭으로 모델링 하였으며, 협대역 간섭 점유율에 따른 TH binary PPM UWB 시스템의 성능을 분석하였다. 또한 강력한 오류 정정능력을 갖는 Turbo code를 사용함으로써 성능 개선 정도를 평가하였다.
