  • Dynamic contact of a cantilever beam with Sap at the end is discussed. The gap in a structure induces dynamic contact, and the contact problem is always accompanied by inequality constraints which mean that the solution of the structure with contact condition should satisfy variational inequality. Inequality, but, can be reduced to equality condition considering convex penalty function. In this paper, formulation of a beam with contact is derived using quasi convex penalty function. General coordinate solution which is needed to increase computational efficiency is applied. Nonlinear behavior of a beam with rigid and elastic contact condition was discussed.

  • In recent years, grinding techniques for precision machining of brittle materials used in electric, optical and magnetic parts have been improved by using superabrasive wheel and precision grinding machine. The completion of optimum dressing of superabrasive wheel makes possible the effective precision grinding of brittle materials. But the present dressing system cannot have control of optimum dressing of the superabrasive wheel. This study has proposed a new optimum in-process electrolytic dressing system. This system can carry out optimum in-process dressing of superabrasive wheel, and give very effective control according to gap increase.

  • The multi degree of freedom system using magnetic levitation has been implemented successfully. Differently from another noncontact systems, the developed system was focused on the maximization of the system stiffness under the constraint of a limited input. The variation of a relative adopting point between the magnetic pair, its location on the fixed base, and the selection of optimal specifications for the main active magnetic elements give us another chance to realize the increased robustness against external disturbances with the less control inputs. In this paper, the overall development procedures are given including the optimal design, the dynamic modeling, the various control tests, and the main issues to be solved.

Non-contact type AFM using frequency separation scheme (주파수응답 분리방법을 이용한 비접촉식 AFM)

  • In this paper, the frequency response separation scheme is proposed for high scanning speed and simple structure of non-contact type of AFM. A self-sensing cantilever is attached on the actuator for detect the atomic force between tip and the media surface. VCM or PZT are used for actuator. This paper presents the method to simplify the actuator structure and the performance of each actuator for non-contact type AFM. Based on the frequency response separation scheme, the only one actuator plays roles 1311owing low frequency surface and modulating self-sensing cantilever tip in contrast with convention non-contact type AFM. 10 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ standard grid sample imaged to verify proposed scheme. This result shows the possibility simplifying the actuator structure and reducing cost of non-contact type AFM.

  • 프린팅 기법은 크게 젯팅(Jetting) 기법과 코팅(Coating) 기법으로 나눌 수 있는데, 이중 젯팅 기법은 액체 상태의 재료를 노즐을 통하여 분사하는 기법을 말하며, 그 방식으로는 전하제어형, 확산형, 자성 잉크형 등의 연속 방식, 피에조형, 전기열 변환형, 방전형, 고체잉크형, 정전흡입형 등의 DOD 방식, 잉크 미스트형, 스프레이형 등의 기타 방식으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 젯팅 공정을 이용하여 폴리머 계열을 2차원 흑은 3차원 형상으로 제작하는 것은, 기존의 잉크젯 분사시스템을 수정 보완하는 것으로도 기술적으로 가능하다.(중략)

  • 제방은 제내지에 거주하는 인간의 재산과 삶을 방어하고, 홍수를 제어하는 가장 기본적인 수공구조물이다. 제방파괴 원인은 월류, 활동, 침식, 그리고 침투 등으로 분류되어 질 수 있다. 특히 간극수압에 의해 발생하는 침투는 제방 내부침식(internal erosion) 및 파이핑(piping) 등을 야기함으로서 제방파괴를 유도한다. 침투에 의한 제방파괴는 월류나 침식에 의한 제방파괴 유형보다 상대적으로 적으나, 다른 제방파괴 원인을 더욱 활성화 시키는 인자로 작용한다. 도시하천의 경우 높은 치수안전도를 적용하여 제방을 축조함에 따라 월류에 의한 붕괴보다 강우와 하천수의 복합요인에 의한 침투파괴가 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 침투와 활동에 대한 안전성을 확보할 수 있는 침투보강기법인 단면확대기법에 대한 적용성 및 유의사항을 수치모의를 통해 검토하였다. 제방 비탈면 경사를 1:2 확대할 경우, 침투유속이 70 %정도 감소되는 것을 확인하였다. 그러나 단면확대기법은 홍수시 통수능과 제내지의 부지 확보 문제 등을 고려하여 적용하여야 하며, 도시하천에서 단면확대기법을 적용하는 데는 일정부분 한계를 가질 것으로 판단된다.

  • PMA(Permanent Magnetic Actuator)는 기존의 유압식, 공압식 또는 스프링 조작기에 비해 신뢰성과 내구성이 뛰어나며, 유지${\cdot}$보수의 비용이 적고, 전류의 ON/OFF로 조작기를 쉽게 제어 할 수 있다. 그래서 최근 중저압 진공 차단기에 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 상대적으로 접점 간극이 길고, 압점력이 큰 고압 진공차단기에는 기존의 PMA(Permanent Magnetic Actuator)가 적합하지 않다. 고압 진공 차단기에 PMA를 적용시키기 위해서는 새로운 형상 설계가 불가피한데, 본 논문에서는 새로운 형태의 PMA(Permanent Magnetic Actuator)를 제안하고 그것의 동작 특성 해석을 통하여 사용 가능성을 검증하고자 한다.

  • The dynamic contact model of a beam that contacts to a rigid wall in a reactor core was studied. The gap between the beam and contact wall results in dynamic contact accompanying inequality constraints. The inequality constraints can be relieved to an equality constraint problem by introducing a convex Penalty function. In this work, a beam with contact condition is formulated using quasi-convex penalty function and numerically solved. General coordinate solution is adopted to raise computational efficiency. Also nonlinearity is examined In the beam contacting to a rigid wall.

  • In magnetic levitation vehicles, the clearance between the magnet and track should be maintained within an allowable range through a feedback control loop. The flexibility of the guideway would introduce additional modes in the overall suspension system, resulting in dynamic interaction between the guideway vibration and the electromagnetic suspension control system. This dynamic interaction can be a serious problem, particularly at very low speeds or standstill, and may cause airgap instability. To optimize the overall system dynamics, an integrated dynamic model including mechanical and electrical parts and a flexible guideway as well as a control loop was developed. With the proposed model, airgap simulations at standstill were performed while varying the control gains, specifically with the aim of understanding the effects of gains of the PID controller on the airgap variation. The findings may be used to achieve a stable levitation controller design.

Critical face pressure and backfill pressure of shield TBM considering surface settlements of saturated clayey ground (쉴드 TBM 굴진에 따른 포화 점성토 지반의 침하거동을 고려한 한계 굴진면압과 한계 뒤채움압)

  • The shield tunneling method can minimize surface settlements by preventing the deformation of tunnel face and tunnel intrados due to tunnel excavation. For this purpose, it is very important to control the operating conditions of shield TBM. The face pressure and backfill pressure for tail void grouting should be the most important and immediate measure not only to restrain surface settlement, but also to influence the effective stress and pore water pressure around the circumstance of tunnel during excavation. The reaction of the ground to the application of face pressure and backfill pressure relies on the stiffness and permeability of ground. Especially, the reaction of saturated clayey ground formations, which shows the time-dependent deformation, is different from the permeable ground. Hence, in this paper it was investigated how the TBM operating conditions, ground stiffness, and permeability impact on the surface settlement of saturated clayey ground. For this purpose, a series of parametric studies were carried out by means of the stress-pore water pressure coupled FE analysis. The results show that the settlement of soft clayey ground is divided into the immediate settlement and consolidation settlement. Especially, the consolidation settlement depends on the ground stiffness and permeability. In addition, the existence of critical face pressure and backfill pressure was identified. The face pressure and backfill pressure above the critical value may cause an unexpected increase in the ground settlement.
