Desmutagenic Activity of Heated Mountain Herb Juices (산채류(山菜類) 가열즙(加熱汁)의 돌연변이 억제 작용에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • Potential mutagenicity of ten heated edible mountain herbs were examined with spore recassay, Ames test and DNA breaking test. Samples of edible mountain herbs were prepared with water extraction at $100^{\circ}C$ for 20 minutes. With the rec-assay, no significant mutagengic activity could be obtained from all of the samples, but among the eight of metal ions added to sample solution, $Pb^{2+}$ to R. crispus heated juice, $Zn^{2+}$ to L. fischeri and S. bracycarpa heated juice increased mutagenic activity of the samples. With the Ames test and DNA breaking test, all of the samples did not show mutagenicity. However, breaking action was activated on heated L. fischeri, P. japonicus. A. triphylla and A. tataricus juices in the presence of 25mM $Cu^{2+}$. But heated A. elata, H. aurantiaca, A. triphylla, S. bracycarpa and A. scaber juices were inactivated in the presence of 25mM $Fe^{2+}$. Desmutagenic activities against benzo$({\alpha})$pyrene significantly increased as increasing concentration of the heated edible mountain herb juices.

The Quality Characteristics of Teriyaki Sauce according to the Boiling Time (가열시간에 따른 데리야끼 소스의 품질 특성)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the mechanical and sensory properties of Teriyaki sauce made with different boiling time(6, 8, 10 and 12 hrs). The results were as follows. As for the mechanical characteristics, moisture contents, L-value, a-value, salinity and pH decreased with increasing boiling time. On the other way, viscosity, b-value and sugar contents of Teriyaki sauce increased with increasing boiling time. From results of quantitative descriptive analysis, offensive flavor was significantly different when examining Teriyaki sauce alone, but there was no difference when the sauce was accompanied with food. The 8 hr-boiling sauce was favored most in chicken with Teriyaki sauce, and 10hr-boiling sauce was favored most in eel.

Electric Fan Heater Design for Eco-Energy Saving (친환경 에너지 절감형 전기온풍기 기구설계)

  • As the Eco-energy is recently required, electrical energy is fast increased. Several induction heating methods are attractive for Eco-energy and energy saving. In this paper, electrical fan heater was designed and developed with new concept for energy saving by electromagnetic induction heating. Proposed system was composed of three module, blast part, induction heating part and power transformation part. Induction heating method was adapted for heating and the resonant inverter was used for increasing of the power transformation efficiency. Full-bridge resonant inverter was adopted to resonant inverter. This system was composed of induction heating part made with metal(SUS 40 series), and power transformation part made with rectifier module, filter module and resonant inverter. From these results, the proposed new electric heater could be saved the energy from faster increasing the temperature compared to commercial gas and other electric heater. This electrical fan heater is possible to be used in field of home, commercial and agricultural area for eco-energy saving heater.

  • Plate bending process is indispensible in shipbuilding. The process includes press bending process and heating process. Especially the heating process is carried out exclusively by skillful workers. Many researches have been made to automate the heating process. This study was carried out as a fundamental study to develop a efficient analysis method for triangle heating and focused on clarifying the deformation characteristics of plate by triangle heating and essential elements effect on the deformation. In this paper, we proposed an analysis model for thermal-elastic-plastic analysis and simulated the deformation by triangle heating using ANSYS based on the experimental results of Jang et al.(2001). Also, we showed the deformation characteristics more clearly by comparing the deformation due to triangle heating and line heating in case that the total heat input is same. Finally, we investigated the change characteristics of deformation elements according to the volumetric heat input.

  • The present paper has been accomplished to elucidate the characteristics of temperature change in a car washer heater system for removal of frost formed at the surface of a car. The previous studies had used a simplified mathematical modeling to analyse the temperature change characteristics for a car washer heater system. In the present study, an unsteady computational fluid flow and heat transfer analysis for a washer heater system has been done by using computational fluid dynamic analysis method. From the present CFD analysis, the time dependent temperature change in a car washer heater system has been analysed and derived the heating time and ejection temperature of the washer liquid to establish the optimal design basis for a washer heater system.

백색 LED증착용 MOCVD장치에서 유도가열을 이용한 기판의 온도 균일도 향상에 관한 연구

  • 고휘도 고효율 백색 LED (lighting emitting diode)가 차세대 조명광원으로 급부상하고 있다. 백색 LED를 생산하기 위한 공정에서 MOCVD (유기금속화학증착)장비를 이용한 Epi wafer공정은 에피층과 기판의 격자상수 차이와 열팽창계수차이로 인하여 생성되는 에피결함의 제거를 위하여 기판과 GaN 박막층 사이에 완충작용을 해줄 수 있는 버퍼층 (Buffer layer)을 만들고 그 위에 InGaN/GaN MQW (Multi Quantum Well)공정을 하여 고휘도 고효율 백색 LED를 구현할 수 있다. 이 공정에서 기판의 온도가 불균일해지면 wafer 파장 균일도가 나빠지므로 백색 LED의 yield가 떨어진다. 균일한 기판 온도를 갖기 위한 조건으로 기판과 induction heater의 간격, 가스의 흐름, 기판의 회전, 유도가열코일의 디자인 등이 장비의 설계 요소이다. 코일에 교류전류를 흘려주면 이 코일 안 또는 근처에 있는 도전체에 와전류가 유도되어 가열되는 유도가열 방식은 가열 효율이 높아 경제적이고, 온도에 대한 신속한 응답성으로 인하여 열 손실을 줄일 수 있으며, 출력 온도 제어의 용이성 및 배출 가스 등의 오염 없다는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 유도가열방식의 induction heater를 이용하여 회전에 의한 기판의 온도 균일도 측정을 하였다. 기초 실험으로 저항 가열 히터를 통하여 대류에 의한 온도 균일도를 평가하였다. 그 결과 gap이 3 mm일 때, 평균 온도 $166.5^{\circ}C$ 에서 불균일도 6.5 %를 얻었으며 이를 바탕으로 induction heater와 graphite susceptor의 간격이 3 mm일 때, 회전에 의한 온도 균일도를 측정을 하였다. 가열원은 induction heater (viewtong, VT-180C2)를 사용하였고, 가열된 graphite 표면의 온도를 2차원적으로 평가하기 위하여 적외선 열화상 카메라(Fluke, Ti-10)을 이용하여 온도를 측정하였다. 기판을 회전하면서 표면 온도의 평균과 표준 편차를 측정한 결과 2.5 RPM일 때 평균온도 $163^{\circ}C$ 에서 가장 좋은 5.5 %의 불균일도를 확인할 수 있었고, 이를 상용화 전산 유체 역학 코드인 CFD-ACE+의 모델링 결과와 비교 분석 하였다.

  • Induction heating method that allows the maximum heating power to be delivered by varying switching frequency in the inductance change of the work coil of induction heater was proposed in this paper. Depending on the type of work piece in the work coil and proximity to the work coil, the resonance frequency of the resonant circuit will be changed. It may be difficult to deliver the maximum power due to the damage of the induced heater element or switching loss depending on the resonance frequency and switching frequency operating relationship. The switching frequency was variable to maintain the maximum power transmission by sensing the heating power due to the change of the resonance frequency. Through the result of the proposed method that can be controlled within the required output change range according to the change of the switching frequency corresponding to the change of the resonance frequency, the induction heater having a variable switching frequency characteristic that can transmit almost constant output power (within 0.43 dB) power efficiency was achieved.

  • This paper is concerned with the effects of temperature of diesel fuel on combustion characteristics and engine performance in a home-made precombustion diesel engine for small-sized fishing boat. The results may be summarized as follows: 1. The fuel injection timing was delayed with increase in temperature for diesel fuel, and remarkably delayed at low load. 2. The point of maximum pressure was delayed with increase in temperature for diesel fuel, the maximum pressure decreased with increase in temperature for diesel fuel but increased with increase in load. 3. The brake specific fuel comsumption (BSFC) decreased with increase in load, the optimum temperature of the heated fuel was about 15$0^{\circ}C$. 4. The smoke emissions increased with increase in load and temperature for diesel fuel.

  • It is necessary to obtain a fire resistance certification in order to use Fire Protection Coating in Korea. According to the fire test standards, columns have four heating sides and beams have three. In comparison with columns which are heated four sides equally, beams have three exposed sides and one unexposed up side. So the question arises as to there were the differences between the temperature of up side and others of beams in fire test. The purpose of this study is to consider the positions of thermocouples for beams through a comparative analysis of the temperature data obtained from fire certification tests.

유도결합플라즈마에서 플라즈마 변수와 전자 에너지 분포에 대한 RF bias의 영향

  • 진공을 기초로 한 다양한 반도체 식각 공정에서 RF bias가 결합된 유도 결합 플라즈마 소스는 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만, 대부분의 연구는 RF bias에 의한 자기 바이어스 효과에만 한정되어 있으며, 공정 결과와 소자 품질에 결정적인 역할을 하는 플라즈마 변수들(전자 온도, 플라즈마 밀도)과 RF bias의 상관관계에 대한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 RF bias가 플라즈마 변수에 미치는 영향과 비충돌 전자 가열 메커니즘의 실험적 증거에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 플라즈마 밀도는 RF bias에 의하여 감소 또는 증가하였으며, 이러한 결과는 Fluid global model에 의한 계산과 잘 일치하는 결과를 보였다. 전자 온도는 RF bias에 의하여 증가하였으며, 적은 RF bias 전력에서는 플라즈마 전위에 갇혀있는 낮은 에너지 그룹의 전자들의 가열이 주가 되었으나, 큰 RF bias 전력에서는 높은 에너지 그룹의 전자들의 가열이 주가 됨을 관찰하였다. 이는 높은 에너지 그룹의 전자 가열 메커니즘이 anomalous skin effect에서 collisionless sheath heating으로 전이되는 것을 나타내며, bounce resonance heating이 RF bias의 전자가열에 중요한 역할을 함을 보여주는 실험적 근거이다. 플라즈마 밀도의 공간 분포는 RF bias의 인가에 의하여 더욱 균일함을 보였으며, 이는 (electro-static and electro-magnetic) edge effect에 의한 영향으로 해석될 수 있다. 이러한 RF bias와 플라즈마 변수들의 상관관계 및 전자 가열 메커니즘에 대한 연구는 방전 특성의 물리적 이해뿐만 아니라, 반도체 식각 공정에서 소자 품질 및 공정 개선을 위한 최적의 방전 조건 도출과 외부 변수 제어에 큰 도움을 주리라 예상된다.
