  • 권선형 유도 발전기는 고정자뿐만 아니라 회전자에도 전력을 공급할 수 있는 이중여자의 구조를 가지므로 제어의 폭이 넓은 장점을 가진다. 본 연구에서 구성하는 권선형 유도발전기 시스템은 계통 연계형으로 유도발전기의 고정자는 계통에 직접 연결되고, 회전자는 AC/DC/AC 컨버터를 통해 계통과 연결된다. 간 연구는 이러한 시스템에서 가변속의 동력아래 고정자측 유효전력과 무효전력을 회전자의 d-q 독립제어에 의하여 동시제어가 이루어지도록 하는 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 종래의 유도발전기 시스템에서 터빈의 속도가 동기속도 이상이 되어야만 일정한 전력을 얻을 수 있는 최대전력 점 트래킹 방식 보다 넓은 운전 범위인 동기속도 이하의 영역에서도 회전자 전력변환장치 용량이내에서 일정 전력제어가 가능하도록 하였다.

  • This paper proposed a speed adaptive control system with load torque observer and feed-forward compensation using neural network for air compressor system driven an induction motor. The motor receive impact load change under the influence of piston movement of up and down, and so it difficult to obtain good speed control characteristics. With real-time adjusting control gain estimated in neural network, control characteristics of motor is improved. The validity of the proposed system is confirmed through the theoretical analysis and computer simulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 저 전송속도의 음성 부호화기를 제안하였고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 성능분석과 유연성을 입증하였다. 제안된 부호화 방식은 입력 음성신호의 Stationarity에 따라 전송 프레임의 길이를 가변하고, 전송 프레임의 대표적인 특징 벡터를 Vector Quatization으로 부호화하였다. 제안된 부호화 방식에서 특징 벡터열은 입력 음성신호를 샘플단위로 Prewindowed RLS Lattice 알고리즘을 통해 구한 PARCOR 계수로 구성된다. 입력 음성신호는 Subsegment로 분할되고, 각 Subsegment에서 대표적인 PARCOR 계수를 구한다. Likelihood Ratio Distortion Measure를 사용하여 유사도에 따라 Subsegment를 병합함으로써 전송프레임을 결정한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 제안된 VTEL 음성 부호화 방식은 좋은 음질을 유지하면서 전체 전송속도를 크게 줄일 수 있다.

Evaluating the Safety Effects of Dynamic Message in a Work Zone: A Case Study (도로 공사구간 동적표지판 안전효과 평가: 사례 연구)

  • Generally speeding appeared to be the most contributing factor of fatalities occurred in work zones, and highway agencies in South Korea have concerned of the safety of workers and drivers in the poor circumstances. In this study, a portable variable message signs (PVMS) system as an alternative of control speeding in work zones was implemented. This study evaluated the safety effectiveness of the PVMS based on speeds and the compliance with the speed limit. Linear regression and logistic regression models were adopted to quantify the safety effect of the PVMS between the 'before' and 'after'. The results showed that most of points had statistically significant speeds reduction experience after PVMS installation. Also, the percentage of vehicle exceeding the speed limit by 10 km/h or more was decreased significantly between 50 and 80% in the 'after' periods compared to the 'before' periods. Therefore, the PVMS would be contributed to benefit safety in work zones which there is a difference in design speed of the adjacent normal section.

Analysis of Traffic Safety Facilities in Pedestrian Protection Area: Focusing on Variable Speed Limit Signs and Beacons (보행자 보호구역의 교통안전시설물 효과분석: 가변형속도제한표지와 비콘 중심으로)

  • Since the mid 1990s, policies have been actively promoted to improve safety and pedestrian environment around the school such as the improvement of School zone. However, the prevention of accidents was not effective because it did not extend to the school road where the main transportation route for children's commuting takes place. In addition, due to the rapid increase of automobiles, trunk road traffic in the peak time bypasses the back roads, which threatens children's safety and the environment by invading the school area, which is the main living space of children. In this study, the characteristics of domestic children's traffic accidents were investigated and the problems were analyzed by conducting a field survey on Yeouido Secondary School in Seoul and Unjung Elementary School in Gyeonggi Province. In addition, Variable speed limit signs and Beacons were installed in the pedestrian road of comunity including School zone, and the effects of facilities on the speed of vehicles were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the Variable speed limit sign showed a deceleration effect of about 8.3km/h, and the Beacon showed a phenomenon in which the traveling speed of 0.8km/h increased only slightly. In addition, the traffic violation rate of passenger cars, buses, and lorries decreased by about 3% as a result of investigating the number of traffic violation vehicles before and after installation.

Accelerating Levenberg-Marquardt Algorithm using Variable Damping Parameter (가변 감쇠 파라미터를 이용한 Levenberg-Marquardt 알고리즘의 학습 속도 향상)

  • The damping parameter of Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm switches between error backpropagation and Gauss-Newton learning and affects learning speed. Fixing the damping parameter induces some oscillation of error and decreases learning speed. Therefore, we propose the way of a variable damping parameter with referring to the alternation of error. The proposed method makes the damping parameter increase if error rate is large and makes it decrease if error rate is small. This method so plays the role of momentum that it can improve learning speed. We tested both iris recognition and wine recognition for this paper. We found out that this method improved learning speed in 67% cases on iris recognition and in 78% cases on wine recognition. It was also showed that the oscillation of error by the proposed way was less than those of other algorithms.

Variable Speed Control of Wind Turbines Using Robust Fuzzy Algorithm (강인 퍼지 이론을 이용한 풍력 터빈의 가변 속도 제어)

  • In this paper, we present the robust fuzzy algorithm for variable speed control of wind turbines. Generally, the plants of wind turbines are consisted of complex nonlinearities, and the parameters of variable speed of wind turbines are represented as uncertain terms. For solving these complexity, we propose the robust fuzzy algorithm. At first, the exact fuzzy modeling are performed for variable speed of wind turbines. Next, we design the fuzzy controller for reanalyzed T-S fuzzy model of the wind turbines, then, we prove the stability of the plant through the Lyapunov stability theorem. At last, an example is included for visualizing the efficiency of the proposed technique.

Design and Manufacturing of Robotic Dolphin with Variable Stiffness Mechanism (가변강성 메커니즘을 적용한 로봇 돌고래 설계 및 제작)

  • Bio-inspired underwater robots have been studied to improve the dynamic performance of fins, such as swimming speed and efficiency, which is the most basic performance. Among them, bio-inspired soft robots with a compliant tail fin can have high degrees of freedom. On the other hand, to improve the driving efficiency of the compliant fins, the stiffness of the tail fin should be changed with the driving frequency. Therefore, a new type of variable stiffness mechanism has been developed and verified. This study, which was inspired by the anatomy of a real dolphin, assessed a process of designing and manufacturing a robotic dolphin with a variable stiffness mechanism. By mimicking the vertebrae of a dolphin, the variable stiffness driving part was manufactured using subtractive and additive manufacturing. A driving tendon was placed considering the location of the tendon in the actual dolphin, and the additional tendon was installed to change its stiffness. A robotic dolphin was designed and manufactured in a streamlined shape, and the swimming speed was measured by varying the stiffness. When the stiffness of the tail fin was varied at the same driving frequency, the swimming speed and thrust changed by approximately 1.24 and 1.5 times, respectively.

  • 녹색기술 및 친환경 공정의 필요성이 급증함에 따라 재료이용률 향상을 지향하는 차세대 압출공정의 대두가 필요하게 됨에 따라 유압 CNC(Servo) 제어를 이용한 가변단면 압출기술을 개발하게 되었다. 이러한 가변단면 압출(Varied section extrusion, VSE)기술은 공정 중에 압출구를 빠져 나가는 소재의 단면 형상을 변화시켜 재료이용률을 향상을 도모하였으며, 후가공 공정의 생략도 가능하여 국내 압출업체의 생산원가 절감 및 글로벌 기술경쟁력 확보에 큰 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 아직은 소수의 선진국에서 시도한바 있으나 양산품 적용에는 생산원가 및 생산속도, 상품성 등에 문제가 있어 자동차 부품 적용에 한계를 보이고 있는 기술이다. 따라서 본 연구팀이 가변단면 압출용 금형을 포함한 최적의 압출공정 및 양산성 문제의 해결점을 거의 확보하고 있는 단계로 세계를 선도하는 리딩기술(Leading technology)을 보유하게 됨으로써 국가의 기술경쟁력 향상에 중요한 역할을 수행할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구의 내용을 요약하여 정리해 보면 첫째로는 CNC 제어 가변단면 압출공정에 대하여 자세하게 소개하고 특징 및 장 단점을 설명하였으며, 자동차 부품군에로의 적용에 많은 이점들을 갖고 있음을 설명하였다. 두 번째로는 가변단면 압출을 위한 이동 금형(Moving die)부품을 갖는 구조의 압출금형에 관하여 기존의 압출금형과 비교하여 설명하였으며, 가변단면 압출용 금형의 구조 및 메커니즘의 최적화를 이루고자 하였다. 세 번째로는 가변단면 압출공정을 실현하기 위한 CNC 제어 압출시스템에 대하여 간략히 설명하였다. 네 번째로는 자동차 부품 적용을 위한 정밀 압출공정으로서 가변단면 압출공정에 대하여 유한요소해석을 통하여 가변단면 압출공정 변수 및 금형 변수 등에 대한 엄격한 검토를 선행적으로 수행하여 양산성 확보를 위한 정보들을 분석 정리하였다. 끝으로는 세 가지 단면형태를 갖는 가변단면 압출제 시제품에 대하여 CNC 제어 가변 단면 압출공정의 상용화 가능성을 확인 적용성 검토를 완료하였다. CNC 제어 가변단면 압출기술은 압출공정에 있어서 많은 경험과 기술적 검토가 선행되어져야 하는 고부가가치 성형공정으로써 재료 이용률을 획기적으로 향상시킬 수 있는 압출공법으로 향후 자동차 부품 뿐만아니라 다양한 알루미늄 제품군에 적용이 가능하다고 판단된다.
